How do you sign up? All I see is MonkeySurvey page and it asked me to sign up for the account. Could someone please provide instructions of how to get into the program? Thanks.

TestFlight email just arrived. Better app than the previous one, leaked months ago, but still has lots of limitations. But it's a good first step

Have any of you tried the sleep monitoring ? I slept about 40 minutes , but nothing happened on the Gear .

nope it's tied to the apple id

That's new (for Gear S2 with iPhone) after a first quick view:
- S Health integration
- load pictures to Gear S2
both working fine :good:
Others same as the lite version. There might be more at a second view

I had the previous beta and firmware for pairing my Gear S2 and iPhone. It worked great. I signed up for Beta.. couldn't connect to my gear for some reason.. The app suggests updating the gear software via wifi on the gear. I did that and then reset to factory settings. Now my iPhone doesn't see the gear at all in bluetooth settings and I can't pair. Phone defaulted to french language when I reset to factory settings. I think that has to do with the leaked firmware provided in the tutorial for downgrading to get the gear to work with the previous beta..

I reverted to AOJ3. I don't know what the firmware version was after updating the watch initially earlier today. I decided to downgrade and reverted back to the previously leaked iOS Gear Manager app and firmware. Now I can see my gear and connect to my phone, but the gear app can't find it even though it's connected to the phone. It was working fine before. Tried factory resetting, but that didn't help. On top of that, now it won't update.. it says I have the latest updates, but that isn't true. I had more default apps.. Disappointing..

OK so I reverted to BOKK firmware and now I can connect to phone and gear lite app.. I think i'll stick with this until the app is officially released.

Are there paid apps visible in the store?

Failed after first sync and first update
I received the mails fast (1/2 day after signing on to the korean side) and first remove the leaked version from the iphone 6s plus.
Then I installed Testflight and inside Testfligh the Beta version.
Gear S2 I did a Firmware reset ( I was on the latest Firmware), on the iphone I unpaired the old Bluetooth connection of the Gear and started both the Beta and the Gear. A fist pairing happened, the iphone installed an update, and after this it tried to reconnect to the phone. And that is where I stay no. The iphone does not show the gear in Bluetooth any more, the beta does not connect to the gear any more :crying:
So I took a Samsung Phone, installed the gearmanager to update the phone. No it comes realy wired. Gear and Samsung Phone see each other on Bluetooth, pairing, but when the gear manager wants to connect to the gear, this fails on the Samsung phone.
So I assume, the Beta installed something on the gear, that failed to work.
Any ideas? The only way I can think of now is to connect over Wifi with Odin and to downgrade to an older version of the gear software :crying:

Update: Downgrade worked, watch is up and running again.
My mistake: On the korean webside I selected propably the wrong software and tried to sync my clasic with the fit - drivers
Since the Beta download is closed, I am back for now on the leaked app on my iphone an need to wait till the official app comes :crying:

Has anyone been able to find the Spotify app? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I have the same issue, I think the app is geo restricted

Through the music player it controls spotify on the phone and any connected device running spotify thats on the same wifi network, but where is the app as shown on Samsungs advertising literature eh?

Spotify was up there as one of the reasons for purchasing the Gear S3.
Yes I wouldve bought it anyway, but seeing spotify heavily linked with the device was a definite biggee for me. A sweetner for sure!
Bit of a con no?!?

I'm in the US and i cant seem to find the Spotify App either, this shouldve been a day one app in my opinion.

Have the t-mobile frontier, spotify is not in the app store for me either. Again probably the top reason I bought the watch. Hopefully coming soon.

Looks like December we will receive it.

Response I got from Spotify Support today:
"Hey there,
Thanks for your email. We're happy to hear that you're interested to have your music with your Samsung Gear S3. We'll look into this for you.
We've taken a look at the advisories about partner devices and confirmed that the integration between Spotify and your device is being tested at the moment. As announced, we're looking to launch it officially soon.
It will be released globally through the Samsung Gear Store and the Gear S3 should be rolled out globally, as well.
At the moment, work is being done by Samsung on developing an offline caching update to the Gear S3. The aim is to have this released by end of the year.
This integration will support remote and local playback at launch as well as offline in the future. It is not live in their app store as it is yet to be tested and certified by us. The aim is to have it live globally in their Gear Store by 1st week of January, at the very latest.

Dang, this was theeeeeee sole reason I bought a Gear S3, so I can jog with my music and not with my phone. I hope they come through soon, I may return the watch under buyers remorse until the app proves to exist and work well. Otherwise, I couldn't care less about step counters or seeing texts on my wrist..

Same disappointment on the lack of Spotify, my only issue with the device.

Actually it has offline mode. In the settings you can select Stream over Wifi, and then it can work independent of the phone.
I justed tested. It stutters a bit first but then it works fine.
Awesome. Finally we have Spotify!

Once I selected Stream over Wifi, I cannot go back to Remote mode anymore. It says "BT disconnected" although phone connection is working fine.

I got bt disconnected too at all times. I dont have spotify premium so this app is useless to me right now

Sorry, I think I confused offline with standalone mode.
I have a non-LTE gear S3, and I can stream video over WiFi without connecting to the phone.
No offline (downloaded) music though, you are right.

If you open Galaxy App Store, you will see that yesterday, samsung has updated S-Voice.
Did you guys see it?
It may be a start for Bixby Voice?

Same here.
Which means we with T-Mobile devices don't get to use voice commands to answer or reject calls. One of my favorite features has been left out! WTF?!

Really REALLY not happy here... I use S-Voice CONSTANTLY.... I have (or had) the ICON on my desktop front and center... for years. Seriously use it 4 or 5 times a day to directions, to make calls, to make appointments. WTF ????
However... and this is the wierd part... It WAS on the phone until the latest update. I bought the phone Saturday.... migrated with switch from my S5... USED S-Voice Saturday evening... noticed an update had been postponed... did the update.... then S-Voice was gone. Again... I repeat... WTF????

I may be dead wrong and talking out of my a** here, but isn't Bixby supposed to replace S voice?

I believe that is what Samsung intends to do.

No S-Voice on Galaxy S-8+ which affects Gear Neo smart watch
I noticed that when I went to reply to a text on my smart watch, a Gear S2 NEO, there was no option to voice text, in fact S-Voice is no longer there at all. I could not find in the Galaxy Store or Play Store. This is a very valued feature on the smart watches to answer your text messages vs templates or emoticons. Please let me know if there are any other options or please bring it back!

I was able to download and install. After the install it said it had to update the voice service framework which it automatically downloaded and installed.

The title says it all.
Changelog for our watch:
Samsung Health - Support various indoor workouts and back-to-back workout.
Samsung Health Widget - Samsung Health Widget now also supports and provides sleep stages information.
Advanced - Two advanced modes (Theater, Sleep) are added to keep user from disturbance during specific time and place. Modes can be toggled from quick panel.
Quick Panel - Newly added quick settings. Easier and faster interaction.
Messages - Draft messages can now be saved. Additionally, showing MMS image on notification cover view and animated messages are automatically played. Replying is now quicker and easier. Over 1,000 emojis supported.
Music - User can change to different music play source on Watch instead of using a Phone.
Setting menu - Improved categorizing of menus for better dicovery of features and items.
Things I've noticed so far that are new and not included in the official changelog (Tizen 4 perks):
You can now toggle whether to take or not screenshots by pressing and holding the power button and swiping the screen from left to right, inside a Settings menu.
New permissions management: When you open an app that requires Storage permission or Microphone permission, those will be asked to you directly instead of instantly granted (basically like since Android 6.0+).
Permissions can be managed straight from Settings > Apps > Permissions.
Sliding down the Quick Settings menu feels a ton lot smooooooooooother.
Another really awesome feature is the ability to read not just the most recent from your messaging apps, like before, but also being able to read any previous messages in a really nice chat bubble view. Check out the last attached image as example.

CSC is the country code that your watch or Samsung phone comes with. It defines the preloaded apps, and the updates it should receive but it's easily changeable. XAR is the region, which is a generic USA one.

The post literally above yours says it.
No, the My Day watchface has remained as a Galaxy Watch exclusive.
Same goes for Bixby.

I've posted a poll to see how many of us are enjoying the update and/or who dislikes or hates it! Let the voting begin...

They removed ("discontinued") the 24hr log widget with this update. That's pretty disappointing, it was a really cool view.

Re the battery status what do you mean?
Re the Widget - I did think of that but I wasn't sure what value it would add ... you mean to more easily launch it?
What I *really* want to do is create a Tizen 5.0 complication so that people can place the launcher on their watchfaces ... hope Tizen 5 devices come out soon!

My reading of the Google Assitant terms of service is that it is for new hardware devices only, but I'd love to be told I'm wrong, since I'm pretty sure I've done a lot of the hard work with the low-level audio and http/2 connections already.

Registration
Hello. Just bought the app from the GalaxyApps Store. However, every time I launch it from the watch, it gives me a new registration code. I enter it, I get the message saying it was successful and my registration is now complete. Then it happens all over again. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: OK, it seems to be fine now. On the 9th or 10th try, it stayed registered. I don't think I changed anything from one instance to another, so I couldn't tell you what caused the different outcome.

It shows visual feedback for some questions, such as "How deep is the ocean". I'll add an explanation on the page in the next release since you are not the only one who has asked about this.

Hi,
Which phone and watch do you have? I know it does not show up in the iPhone Galaxy Apps because they do not list paid apps there .
If you have an S3 or Sport can you verify that you have the Tizen 4.0 update applied?
Also could you let me know what country you are in, and what country your account is registered to? I've enabled it for everywhere except China, but I've had someone from Costa Rica that was not able to find it either.
I'm still trying to find my way around the Samsung store.

AFAIK you can't use Alexa to write and send voice messages ... the app doesn't "know" anything about your Watch or Phone ... it just provides Alexa functionality (general questions, home device control etc.). It should support any language that Alexa supports .. the language it uses depends on the Amazon account you use to sign up. Definitely English, German and Itialian .... but all should work (if Amazon Alexa supports them).

I love it ! Are you able change the voice output on app ? I.E. Different voices ? The current sometimes is a little low and hard to understand. Thank you and amazing job !
