Changing the Icons on the Google Pixel Launcher - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Have seen people asking about this and I was also having trouble but figured out a simple solution.
I am using the Pixel Launcher Module for Magisk Created by jaimbo , and have the latest TGP rom installed it should work for other roms that use the Samsung theme app.
All you need to do is change your theme using the Samsung theme app to one with icons you like. I access it via settings > themes
Then go to settings > Display and change the display scaling from standard to condensed, or if it is on condensed change it to standard and reboot.
This works for me with multiple themes with different icons but I have to change the display scaling and reboot each time I change the theme , assuming it is redrawing or re-gathering the icons when you change the display scaling or something.
Hope this helps someone as it was driving me crazy as no app i tried was able to change the pixel launchers icons .

[Q] Is changing icons system wide?

Hi, could anyone with an S6 check for me if changing the icons with the theme engine carries over to other launchers as well? I'm not the biggest fan of Touchwiz but if I could change all the icons while using the Google Now launcher I'll actually consider this phone.
Thanks!
Not it doesn't. At least not with Sense 7. Still default icons. Also, only default app icons are themed, so changing icons like this is not really great.

Cant change icons.

Hey guys, I've recently slashed the Project Dream UX ROM. However I can't change my icons, I can change icons through the theme store but that's it. My device IS rooted. I've downloaded the Grace UX icon Pack and the Galaxy icon themer which I've used before, along with some other icon packs. It says they're applied however I still have the original icons. Also I'm using the S8 TouchWiz home but even without this it doesn't work. I could use an S8 theme however I'd rather use the icon themer and change them individually. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I can fix this? It worked fine when I used to use MM.
I'm on MM so I'm not sure if it will help, but try changing the display scaling from standard to condensed (assuming Android N still has this option). For some reason this forces icons to update for me, after going months with flashing icon zips not doing anything.

Just tried and it doesn't work. I think it's something to do with Nougat,

Change golor of quick tiles in quick settings menu

I find the new quick tiles (light blue on white background) to be difficult to see. Is there a way to be able to change the color and/or contrast of these icons. I do not want to root the phone. Have looked at xposed, at a few apps from the store. Also a number of different launchers such as Nova, Apex, etc but could not find this functionality in them.
Thx

This is not a launcher feature. There are two ways I know of. The simplest is to get a theme in the Samsung Theme Store (found under system settings) with the colours you want, then just overwrite the background wallpaper and icon pack in your launcher if you don't like them.
I believe you can also use Substratum without root on samsung phones, at least for theming the user interface. Substratum Themes will give you more colour options and won't change your icon pack and background unlike Samung Themes.
Ideally find a Substratum theme labelled Samsung so you know it works, then only tick the android system parts. I have to appologise in advance because I can't post links yet. You'll have to find them in the Play Store yourself.
First, install "Substratum".
Then, you'll have to buy the "Substratum Integration for Samsung (Addon Key)" (if you find it doesn't work, you always have 2 hours to refund it from the play store page)
Lastly, find a compatible theme like "[Substratum] StatusBar Icons (+extras) for Samsung" and activate it in the Substratum app.

How It WorksInterested in how Pixel Launcher Mods works? You can read all about it here
Old versions, which can only be used on older versions of Android than 12, can be found here
More Themed Icons (Android 12)
On Android 12, you can only change apps' themed icons to icons already in the Pixel Launcher. You can add more icons to the launcher using Magisk modules that provide an overlay, such as this one.
Thank you for the app , but it's not working with the rootless Pixel launcher , changing icon per app works but , applying the whole icon pack isn't working , tried also with Bq launcher ( vendor based on old pixel launcher)

Can't seem to reproduce that, at least trying other icon packs (yours is paid, so I can't test it with that exact config) on the launcher and it works fine

From the FAQ:
Q: Can you implement X feature?
A: Probably not. This app works off modifying the already available files - not the app itself. Whilst there are some mods you can make by editing the Shared Preferences (such as enabling/disabling the Google search bar in the app drawer, changing the top row of apps in the drawer and enabling the "bounce" animation), they get reset every time the launcher loads, so are useless. I can't implement icon hiding, grid size changes, overlapping widgets, or any of your other favourite custom launcher features - use a proper custom launcher for that

I tried this icon pack with Rootless Pixel Launcher and it doesn't work. Setting individual icons works fine, though.
Oneplus 5, stock 5.0.1 OOS, Magisk.

Currently you have to do it one by one in the app, or clear the data of both Pixel Launcher and this app (will reset your homescreen layout too). I plan to add a "reset all" option for the next update though

Dang! That sucks.
Additionally, there are a lot of bugs with applying icon packs. Example: I applied an icon pack, but not all of the icons were skinned. Example #2: I tried applying a different icon pack and it just didn't work. So, yeah.
Thanks!

This is probably down to the way the app works. It uses a highly experimental method of running Java code as root, so it's buggy. You may have to apply the icon pack a couple of times for it to work.
In terms of it not applying to all icons, which ones aren't skinned? Are they adaptive icons? If so, you need to either apply them manually or enable the option to apply to adaptive icons in the app's settings. This is disabled by default because 1.) adaptive icons are usually fairly well themed already, unless you're going for a totally different style and 2.) when their icons are changed, you get a glitched overlay when they're long pressed

Question How to change Lockscreen/AOD clock font only in OneUI 4.1

I like using the Default (Roboto) font but the Samsung font used for the Lockscreen and AOD clock is ugly and has inconsistent spacing. Changing the system font to any other option changes the clock style. When I use a font installer to install Roboto, it does change the clock, but creates an issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps. Yes, I also tried a variable font version as well. I realize that Samsung is likely using multiple font files to create Default and the font installer is limited. I also tried GoodLock with Clock Face but almost all centered options use the ugly Samsung font too.
Does anyone know how to change just the Lockscreen and AOD clock fonts? Back in the day, someone was able to modify Good Lock to give extra options but I'm hoping there is a simpler solution. Thanks in advance.
Hello. I have the exact same thoughts about the default One UI lockscreen font. Could you please share a bit more details on the Good Lock extra options?
Btw, I did try to install the system font with the Roboto TTF file like you mentioned in the OP and the lock screen looks much better now. I do get your point about "issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps", but fortunately for me, WhatsApp is the only app where I see this. And it does not look all that bad. So I believe I'm going to stick to this way.
Here's how:
Download 'SetEdit (Settings Database Edit)' from Google Play Store.
Open and find 'theme_font_clock' row, then tap it.
Tap 'Edit Value' and input with your font path addreses (*example: /storage/emulated/0/My Fonts/DS-DIGIB.TTF).
Tap 'Save Changes' and you're done!
Take a look!
*supports .ttf and .otf formats
works without root
Found it on reddit

Confirmed, does NOT work in OneUI 5.0. Was excited too.
I hope there will be another way...
