Dear friends,
I have problems with my GEM-701L and have to return it for warranty repair. However there is the problem not be able to charge the battery when downgraded. I can successfully downgrade it to the original firmware GEM-701L_Android 5.0.1_EMUI 3.0.5_V100R001C100B005CUSTC100D001_West European. The problem with the battery however persist and I'm not able to fix it. So don't know what to do really in my case. They will not accept it

Once you convert and upgrade to Gem703L firmwares, you cannot downgrade. The battery charging will not work after you downgrade. You need the official downgrade script for a successful downgrade, but the official downgrade script is only for 702L. Maybe you can try to downgrade with 702L script and then try to flash back to your 701L firmware. But I've never done it, I don't know if it's going to work.
Indeed this is not possible for 701. Although the charger compentent is included in the "downgrade" script.
The scrip will run without error, but it will not really help on 701 devices
You can restore a 701 5.0 NANDROID, do wipe data cache and dalvic the system will start
It will show a "Process system isn't responding" message. You can press "Wait" and do the basic installation. But you will find that charger does not work. You may send the device to varanty repair, if you don't turn it off and hope they will not notice that.
On next reboot I saw "Process system isn't responding" came up again and device will restart.
You will get it running after TWRP factory reset, but if setting first configuration this error comes up.
So I woud flaxh standard recovery after factory reset in TWRP
Start run the factory reset from EMUI and do not run the first configuration.
Then the vendor will run this and will see your 5.0 number and notice that something is wrong with system or this why you send it for varanty repair.
To get it charging again you must install at least Andoid 5.11 (B106) via the guide
Guys, it's possible! I did it
So in short, the downgrade to 702L B005 was successful but I used the universal Cust B112 to be able to run 702L firmware correctly on my 701L. The probably useful mentioned one cust in the thread didn't work. Anyway - I was able to run the downgrade script and after that full downgrade. It's very important to do full reset after every dload. Sometimes it succeeds after the second try. It seems the USB cable needs to be unplugged to be able to reset, if not the device expects software update and nothing happens. It's necessary to put temporarily TWRP 5.0 and flash the universal CUST B112 after every full dload and after that putting the normal recovery. So a lot of steps as everyone in this forum already knows After I had fully working 702L B005 image with battery that charges - I put 701L B005 stock image for Europe. The key to succeed here maybe the original 701L CUST backup for EU from the 4PDA Russian forum (I know sufficient Russian). I want to thank you all guys from this forum, without your information posted in the threads it won;t be possible to do it. THANK YOU !!!
Buy the way to explain why I want to return this device - I have very annoying hardware problem when listening music to my bluetooth receiver. It drops constantly when you hold the device in your hands and that was the lower right corner very sensible to touch. So in short not possible to hold or even touch the device there and listen bluetooth audio. Even more - the WiFi signal deteriorates too very bad together with the bluetooth reception. Imagine listening something from youtube. It's total crap. If I want to use the device I have to place it on the table and not touching it in that area or holding it only in landscape position to not touch this very sensible corner. Later I discovered that if I remove the SIM card from the slot located exactly in that same lower right the problem disappeared. But is enough annoying all this already. And adding the enormous amount of lost time to arrange this crazy Huawei upgrade procedures - it's pain in the ass. I've never seen such difficult to update device. I hope tomorrow they will respect the guarantee. Definitely I want to return it and nevermore deal with whatever from Huawei.
Full steps I made:
I had 701L device @b211 KangVIP.
first downgrade to B112 for 703L stock:
1. extract in the directory with ADB the 5 images from 703L B112 (BOOT.img, CUST.img, RECOVERY.img, SYSTEM.img, USERDATA.img) + TWRP 5.1.1
2. to not loose time start copy the 703L B112 dload folder to a SD card. Put the Universal Cust B112 on the SD card too.
3. put the phone in fastboot and execute the following commands with the prepared images in the ADB folder:
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
fastboot flash userdata USERDATA.img
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-ENG-5.1.1.img
fastboot reboot (immediately press vol. up & down to enter the flashed TWRP)
4. In TWRP format everything except the external SD card (dalvic, cache, data, internal storage, system). Insert the SD card prepared in step 2. Flash the Universal CUST B112. Go to home in TWRP, choose reboot & power off. Put again the phone in fastboot (Vol. down + power until the white screen)
5. In ADB folder execute:
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
fastboot flash userdata USERDATA.img
fastboot reboot
remove sdcard immediately.
6. B112 for 703L boots - do full reset and disconnect the USB cable. The Recovery will load and reset. Boot again in the system. If the reset failed, try to reset again, sometimes it succeeds from second time.
7. Inser the SD card prepared in step 2 again. Choose local update and let the Recovery do full dload of the B112 image from the SD card. The USB cable should stay unplugged. When ready the phone reboots. Immediately put it in fastboot.
8. Flash again the 5.0 TWRP and the Universal CUST B112 from the SD card, reboot in fastboot and put again the original B112 recovery, boot straight in the fully installed B112 for 703L.
9. The SD card should be removed. The USB cable disconnected. Do full reset again.
10. Now you have the clean stock B112 for 703L running on the 701L phone. Check everything is correct in the about info (amount of RAM, storage etc.)
11. From here you can follow exactly the downgrade guide to convert the phone to B005 for 702L.
12. extract boot.img, cust.img, system.img, userdata.img, recovery.img from gem-702l B005 stock rom, and fastboot flash all of them.
13. flash TWRP 5.0 and boot it
14. flash Universal CUST B112 from TWRP
15. fastboot flash the B005 702L recovery.
16. boot the system and do full reset (SD card should be out and the USB cable disconnected). Repeat if it fails from the first try.
17. Extract files from the downgrade pack. Put the dload directory in your SDcard. Manual update it. It should go through 100%.
18. After the phone boot up, copy the full gem-702l B005 stock firmware to your SDcard, manual update it. It should go through 100%
19. fastboot flash TWRP 5.0 and boot it
20. flash Universal CUST B112
21. fastboot flash original B005 702L recovery.
22. Boot the system and full reset again (SD card should be removed and the USB cable disconnected)
23. You are now in clean stock B005 image for 702L running at your 701L phone and the battery is charging! The downgrade script was the magic and the need to use the Universal CUST B112 to be able to run correctly the foreign ROM.
Now to return to B005 701L stock image for Eu:
1. fastboot flash the 5 images from the B005 701L Eu ROM (boot, cust, system, recovery, userdata)
2. fastboot flash TWRP 5.0 and boot it
3. flash in TWRP the 701L-Cust.zip backup I find in the Russian 4PDA forum (attached in the above posts)
4. fastboot flash the original recovery for 701L B005 Eu
5. Boot the system and do full reset (sd card reoved and USB cabl disconnected) If fails repeat it again.
6. You are now completely stock and original. I tried to full dload flash B005 701L without success. It was however not needed because the system runs fully stock and original. And the battery charges!
I want to Thank again to everyone to this forum for the enormous amount of information that made this possible.
Attached is the downgrade pack
Cool Man,i test your procedur later and good to hear to working downgrade on 701 with charging. Thanks
Whoa! This is really great.
Now both 701Land 702L can be downgraded without any problem.
I hope you don't mind that I put the link of your post in my "how to fully downgrade" post so people who have need can locate it easier.
Maybe someone has a link for that?

Hello,
first thank you a lot. I followed the instructions in Post #6 and i´m back to a GEM-701L B003 .
After finishing the "702 Part" Memory was correct.
Now i have in about Phone 3.0GB RAM / Phonememory (Telefonspeicher) 3.30GB free 32.00 GB total.
When i look into Memory there is only3,86GB total and 3.30GB free. :crying:
Is there a chance to correct that and get access to the 32 GB ?
Thanks,
Sebastian Neumann
CUST = CUSTC100D001
Hello,
I remembered to do a Factory Reset with formatting internal Memory
Now Memory is 3.0GB Ram and 32GB Memory, free 24.09 GB
For Cosmetic : is it possible to flash or install the original CUST ?
Now i have modified CUST : CUSTC100D001
Thanks again,
Sebastian Neumann
Hello again,
CUSTC100D001 is the original Cust
I downloaded " Huawei_MediaPad%X2_Firmware_GEM-701L_Android5.0.1_EMUI3.0.5_V100R001C100B005CUSTC100D001_WestEuropean_Channel-Others.zip " today directly from Huawei.

DLOAD Update didn´t work.
I extracted System,Boot,Cust,Recovery and Userdata form the Update.app and used adp fastboot to install them on my X2.
It worked and i´m now on B005, Android 5.01 .

Hey @dimitarnc,
Could you elaborate on this first step with some more details, please. What is the exact command I have to run with adb. I'm working on Mac and wasn't able to extract those files yet.
I'm currently on GEM-703 b211 kingvip and would love to reset to stock, any version would be fine + an update.app for the newest version....
Maybe if this is not possible on Mac somebody could provide a link with the extracted files.
Thx to anybody in advance....

Same here. Love the device, but the ongoing support is zero, so not willing to risk Huawei again.
Same as for work. Did two contracts for them. Never again.
Will be going for a true/original/genuine/whatever they call it when I finally buy a new phone, which won't be for a while, I hope, barring accidents.

Hi, I have the following problem.
A friend of mine gave me a Honor H60-L12 with a problem with calls. No audio or microphone was working. It was a stock phone, with emui 2.3 and Android 4.4.2
I decided to upgrade it, and downloaded an h60-l12_emui3.0_4.4_5.8.5. That solved the problem, but now, I have a chinese phone, without google play market, or google account, AND, it only works on 2G. No matter what I set on the APN. Same sim card works perfect on another phone.
I tried to restore the phone with differents update.app, with the 3 button method and the local update method, nothing works. Is there anything I can do to get a normal android build on emui3.0 or i bricked the phone?
Thanks a lot
Go to fastboot and flash manually. Check the method to flashing rom through fastboot mode.
For this, you need to download the stock rom(miui 2.3 specificly for your version only, else it won't work) and then you have to extract it using "Huawei Extractor" to get the required files. Then those files can be flashed using following fastboot command.
- fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
- fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
- fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
- fastboot flash cache CACHE.img
- fastboot flash cust CUST.img
- fastboot flash userdata USERDATA.img
I have tried this and I succeed.
Refer the below link(Its using multi tool):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6/development/guide-to-stock-rom-method-t3099261
Ashishakp, thanks for reply!!! My phone is now on stock ROM again.
I still have the problem with the chinese firmware version. Is there a way I can update it to the ROM that came with the phone? It was a USA android build, with google market and google account.
Best solution would be EMUI 3.0 International via OTA.
Is that possible?
I have a H60-L12, it was on B116 (but it was marked as B1116 in settings....) and it never got any OTA, even honor suite still say it's up to date. And when I go in "updates" it was like a simple OTA checking screen, not with the blue EMUI logo.
I was previously rooted so the bootloader is unlocked.
So I flashed the latest EMUI 2.3 (B121), only flashing recovery and system in fastboot. And it worked well. Now I have the blue EMUI update screen with the local update button. I put the update.app for EMUI 3.1 (B532) on the dload folder on SD card, used the local update button, it reboot but it say the update failed and come back to the B121.
Then I flashed the recovery and system from B532, but once it reboot it stay on the honor logo (with the powered by android at the bottom). But nothing else, I waited 5 minutes. Hopefully it was not bricked, I go in fastboot mode again and flashed back B121, reboot and all normal again.
I still don't get where is the problem. The 3 button method don't work too, but i tested under B116, it just take the honor screen without any menu to flash update.app.
Hi,
I have a mate 8 L29.
I was on "SimplyGoogle" B172 and wanted to go to KangVip B331.
I follow the OP instructions (at least i think...).

Search your bootloader unlock code, you'll need it later!
Download B321 from here (THX to ajsmsg78)

Extract update.app to sdcard/dload
Copy it to your PC! Use Huawei update extractor to extract boot, system, cust

Remove your google account from yiur system!! Very important!!
Reboot to recovery
Full wipe including internal sd
Done...But here i think a made a BIG mistake...instead of wiping, i've done a format i think...
Flash the downloaded zip containing the update app.
Done
reboot to bootloader
flash boot cust system
Done
reboot and wait until chinese screen disappears."
Here, i get stuck with the message "Your device is booting now..."
I'm stuck here... I've try SwissKnife with the "unbrick" part...no result...tried to fastboot flash B170 version to get back to normal...No success.
Tried the 3 button with the dload on my sdcard....worked ones but get stuck at 5%. Since then, no access to it...
So now, i've no recovery...i can access to Erecovery, but i get this message "Getting package info failed"...
I can access fastboot too...but nothing else
Can someone help me please ?
Thanks in advance
Frank
I just fastboot flash the recovery for 4.1 and now i can access it... any clue why only this one ?
Now, when i try to flash any rom in twrp, it's stuck at "write radio image" and end with a "Unknown command [errno]"
Any clues ?
If you can help me to make my mate 8 functionnal again, i will be eternally gratefull !

You will need
1) Huawei Update Extractor ( please check the attachment)
2) SRK tools
3) B170 stock firmware.
4) B321 stock firmware (you need to extract files from this ) - check the below steps.
please check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66776218&postcount=2 . It has everything.
Below are the steps from the above link - for L29 users. Please see below - I marked my comments in red for better understanding.
1. Start from stock B170 firmware with TWRP ready
2. Extract BOOT, CUST, RECOVERY, SYSTEM from B321 UPDATE.APP
3. Add firmware .zip file (which contains META-INF folder and UPDATE.APP) and place it into internal storage [ this is B170 zip just putting it in SDcard file ]
4. Make sure internal storage data is fully backed up
5. Delete All Accounts in Settings
6. Go to Recovery, Wipe Cache, Delvik Cache, Data, System
7. Flash that .zip file! (Getting errors is okay at this time) [This is what I didn't do before!] [ Flash that B170 zip file]
8. Boot straight to bootloader
9. fastboot flash boot, cust, and system [ this step is for flashing the extracted boot cust system from B321 ]
10. let it boot. Let it proceed with encryption process in chinese and fully boot into EMUI
11. NOW I'M AT EMUI 4.1!
12. Reboot to fastboot and fastboot flash insecure_boot and flash TWRP [this step - you can ask them why this is required ]
13. Reboot to recovery (TWRP) and then flash whatever rom you want to place in!
14. Enjoying it!
---------------------
Hope this works out for you. Don't forget to :good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
Hi. I was trying to install cm13 on my honor 8. I unlocked the bootloader, but while trying to install twrp recovery I think I deleted everything off the phone. The huawei erecovery doesn't work, and I tried sooooo many fastboot commands. I can't do adb commands. I can only get into fastboot mode. Is there anyway for me to get out of this? I tried flashing the system.img and boot.img from fastboot but it fails.

Yes. I installed a roll back update (something like that) by getting into the force update mode. After it finished, I had to then apply the full stock firmware. The problem was that I somehow put the firmware of another phone, because my model number was from a different Huawei phone.

Hi. I got tired of CM13, so I tried to go back to stock. I checked a guide online which told me to flash 2 files using TWRP. after that, I lost twrp and now my bootloader is locked. What do I do? I manually did an update with the update.app file, and it says update success, but when it reboots it stays on the honor 8 screen, I waited for 25 minutes and it's still there.

Try going into stock recovery and doing a factory reset after you use the update.app. You'll have to unlock the bootloader again and flash twrp if you want root.
Restoring to MM using a full image will typically lock the bootloader.
It happened to me too, it is possible you still didn't use the right image.
This is how I recovered mine:
1. Go here to download the latest firmware for your model: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=129406
2. Use the Huawei Update Extractor to extract files from the "Update.app". (Ignore the 'profile' drop down list in the app.)
3. Unlock your phone's bootloader.
4. Flash these four images (extracted using the tool from step 2):
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
5. Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. This is needed to reformat the internal storage (and make it encrypted I think). (Power+Vol Up)
6. Put the Update.app file inside the "dload" folder in your SDcard.
7. Boot into flash mode to let the phone flash the Update.app (Power+Vol Up+Vol Down).

2 things, 1 is that there are 2 recovery files in the UPDATE.APP, and 2 is that I can't do a factory reset from the recovery, because it brings me to the erecovery and it doesn't give me the option to factory reset.

You need to hold VOLUME UP and POWER button with the phone off to get into the recovery to do a factory reset. Once the honor logo pops up, you can release the power and volume up buttons.

I just did everything exactly the way you said. But it still stays at the honor boot logo. I don't mind waiting over night for it to boot up if I have to, but I've never had a phone take this long to boot up, even on first boot.
For a "brick" thread, it seems odd that the model is never mentioned so that someone can really point you to the right spot. If you keep going to erecovery, then it has to do with whether or not your cable is plugged in (likely you've been keeping it plugged in for your fastboot attempts, or that's a guess). I only go to erecovery with both up/down & power if the cable is plugged in. If I want to get to stock recovery (regardless of what the hell is in the "recovery" partition, TWRP, or who knows?) then I unplug it before trying any key combo from power off to get there.
Lastly, if you use this sort of thing as a template (I'm just going to use one for the frd-l09 as an example, but stick the right model in there for you) ::
Example to plug into Google to find your rollback with instructions:: site:consumer.huawei.com honor 8 frd-l09 rollback
Click to collapse
So if you've got an frd-l04 then plug that in where frd-l09 is. It'll just look on the site consumer.huawei.com just above where the various country/variant breakdowns are, like US/ZH/HU/Etc. are.
Pick the one out that is closest to what it seems you want. All the pages are in the local languages so I'm guessing the .pdf that explains what to do is in the language you'll want as well.
Good luck:: Let us know what model phone you have.
More: Contents of first "intermediate" update.app is 8 image files. I'm sure the 2nd one that is specifically your own phone's version of b162 has a lot more files in it. I've not looked for awhile but I think it's 21 or 22 files. This is a two step process, first is all the crap that comes in update.app from the rollback page (just a 100K file which sets you up in intermediate state for rollback) and 2nd you find your exactly right b162 for your model phone, and pretty much repeat the process.
Yet More: One odd thing about the Honor 8: I've not seen it on other phones is the partition layout is not really "trustworthy" unless you really have gotten to understand it. There appears to be at least 3 or 4 places you can get to that I used to think would all have to be in the recovery partition, but apparently the Honor 8 works differently, so no matter how bleak your odds seem, .. maybe not. I got to both erecovery and stock recovery and rollback while TWRP was installed and it worked just following the directions from their website.
Agreed on this thing.

Thank you very much, you saved me and my phone !!!
I made a mistake: my phone was under android m and I flashed by mistake the rollback update (to go m from n), then my honor was bricked on bootloop, no recovery, no update by dload....nothing worked....
Your solution was the right one !! again thank you very much
Interesting observation with the eRecovery (recovery2 partition). So I have TWRP installed, the system partition modified and user storage not encrypted. I was still able to to use eRecovery to connect to WiFi and download the factory image and it automatically repaired the phone to factory state. I noticed it doesn't re-lock the bootloader afterward. This seems to be the easiest method to unbrick.
Getting into eRecovery.
hi! Or extract the files? sorry for my english

Ok after the factory reset (which is peppered with mounting errors)...
failed to mount /data (invalid arguments)
unable to mount storage
When I try to flash cust.img and system.img they both fail.
I cannot check what firmware I was on before I started all this, but I believe it was the latest one. This is a FRD-04. I flashed TWRP 3.1.0.1 erecovery and I can access it and fastboot.
I have tried various different things and nothing I do can unbrick the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

have the same problem as you on my FRD-09.
I don't have this phone anymore, but the easiest way I find to restore it is using eRecovery.
The issue I am having is that my honor 8 (FRD-L14) is stuck on "your device is booting now.." and it does not shut down. If I hold the power button until it shuts down then it restarts by itself and it keep doing the same thing over and over.
When it first starts and the blue screen and the logo come up the phone vibrate twice and then it displays "your device is booting now..." and it gets stuck there
Here is what I can and cant do:
I can go into fastboot and it shows that the phone is unlocked and the FRP is unlocked
I can flash TWRP from there and I can go into TWRP
When I check in TWRP for partitions I can see CUST or DATA and it shows that the INTERNAL STORAGE size is ZERO
I was able to create the system partition but I am not sure if I did it right.
the dload folder on the SD Card has the role back but the three finger thing (vol+ and vol- and power does not start the system restore from update.app) instead it gets stuck on " your device is booting now..."
I tried Huawei_Multi-Tool and I chose the "unbrick option"...I extracted system.img, boot.img, recovery.img and cust.img and the tool was able to push all images to the device but still the device does not start.
The original stock recovery is not accessible either even if I flash the stock recovery image from TWRP
Any tips on how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance guys

You said you can go into TWRP right. Just rebrand the device to L19
First format data
Then flash the rebrand.zip
Then reboot and if it doesn't boot first go into recovery and factory reset then let it boot up again.
Try flashing stock recovery.img using fastboot. Can you now enter into the 3-button combination mode?

Yes, but he tried the dload method before flashing stock recovery, and he was flashing stock recovery using twrp rather than fastboot.
Thanks but I tried dload after I flashed the stock recovery.
And I tried flashing the stock recovery using facebook and twrp and neither ways succeeded

I had the same exact issue 5 days ago.
Here's what I did to solve it
NOTE - This is FRD-L14 SPECIFIC
First, Download these files -
1) FRD-L04 Original Recoveries and Boot Image
2) FRD-04 Rollback Package from Huawei
3) FRD-L04 Official MM ROM from Huawei
4) FRD-L14 Specific Stock MM ROM Update.zip
Assuming Bootloader is unlocked
Here's what you should do
-Unzip the Recoveries and Boot image folder
-Unzip Rollback Package
-Make a folder called "dload" (without the quotes) in the root of your SD Card
-Place the Update.app from the Rollback Package in there
-Make sure you have ADB and Fastboot installed - Installer
-Boot into fastboot by Plugging in your USB Cable and Holding Power + Volume Down. This may take multiple tries and multiple reboots to get it right depending on the reboot loop.
-Once phone is in Fastboot, go into the Recoveries and Boot folder, hold Shift and right Click. Click on open Command Window Here.
-If the option says "Powershell" instead, open Command prompt manually, and cd to that directory, or change this option in your settings.
-With command prompt open, do -
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Code:
fastboot flash recovery2 recovery2.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
IMPORTANT - Make sure you unplug the cable from the phone and are ready to press both volume buttons at the same time after it reboots
If you dont get it the first time, hold all 3 buttons at the same time to make it reboot and go into that mode.
Code:
fastboot reboot
-Remove cable, press both Buttons at the same time
-It should go into stock recovery and start flashing the Rollback package
-Wait for it to finish, it should reboot automatically
-After it reboots, you should notice that it went back to the same state it was, so reboot into fastboot and flash recovery, recovery2, and the boot image again.
-This time, put the Update.app from the Official L04 Rom you downloaded from the Huawei website in the "dload" folder of the SDCard
-Fastboot Reboot, Remove cable, and Press buttons again. This time it will flash the Official ROM, so it will take longer.
-If it says error right at 99%, reboot, it flashed correctly but it displays an error.
-If it says error anytime before the end of flash, reboot and try again.-After it reboots, you will notice you are able to boot again. BUT, you are not able to update due to it being branded as L04, sooooo
-Place the Update.app from the 4th link (L14 Specific ROM) in the "dload" folder of SD Card
-Three button method into the recovery flash again.
-It will start to flash the L14 Specific ROM on top of the L04 one.
-After it flashes it and reboots, reboot one more time once you are inside android so it encrypts the ROM.
-(Optional) Update to Nougat, apply other updates after that (There's like 3 Updates I think)
-At this point you have a 100% Stock FRD-L14 Honor 8 but, you can also
-(Optional) Reunlock Bootloader
-Profit?

No problem!
That shouldn't matter, this will get you to 100% stock, so all of those partitions will be reflashed.

It worked!!!
Thanks a lot!
but this is what happened:
After i flashed recovery, recovery2 and boot images, I rebooted the phone and it went straight to stock recovery and it asked me download stock firmware and stock recovery which was 1.66GB so I allowed and it downloaded it and flashed everything and did a reset and the phone booted normally.
The stock firmware that it downloaded and flashed was B122 MM.
One question though, does the flashing sequence of the recovery, recovery2 and boot matter?
Before you posted your post, I had tried flashing these three files in the following order: boot, then recovery then recovery2 but it never worked.
Also, the three images that tried to flash were extracted from the update.app from this firmware (FRD-L14C567B162_FULL) so I was not sure what was going wrong.
Thanks again for your help!! :victory::good::highfive:

Hello guys,
I had some problems with my Honor 6x L21 so I tried to flash new custom ROM that I didn't like in the end. I tried to revert back and found update.app method. I somehow relocked my bootloader and now tried to install update.app which fails at 5 % and says it is not compatible.
Now, I have erecovery with me that can get nothing after connecting to wifi. No update from SD Card option available.
When I try to unlock bootloader again, it fails.
Also, when I run command 'fastboot oem get-bootinfo' the following lines do come in result:
<bootloader> unlocked
OKAY [0.009s]
Finished.
However, my phone shows Phone Relocked and FRP lock.
Any help guys?
@amannan: I have a US BLN-L24, I was able to use the dload method to roll back to Marshmallow from Nougat. I'm not sure why it sometimes fails at 5%, I think Huawei recently implemented something to cause the update to fail if you haven't passed an online verification check. So basically, no upgrading offline for some of the newer firmwares, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think it has something to do with Nougat too.
In your case, all hope isnt lost as long as you can access eRecovery and fastboot. What you need to do is find the stock MM packages for your device. This will most likely consist of a small rollback file and a much larger firmware file. Go search Huawei's downloads section on their website until you find what you need, use your model as a reference point. There should also be a PDF file with instructions in it, read it.
For each of the 2 files you get, extract the zips, make a folder called dload on your MicroSD (not internal phone storage). In my case I had to first place the update.app file from the rollback zip into the dload folder, boot to eRecovery (hold volume up and volume down, then hold Power, let let of Power when logo appears but continue to hold the other keys). From there the file will automatically flash. Then I had to extract update.app from the large firmware zip and put in dload, repeat same process again. You should be back on MM.
If either file wont flash then go download Huawei Firmware Extractor. Use it to extract boot.img and recovery.img from the rollback zip's update.app, then boot to fastboot mode while phone is powered off. Plug in a MicroUSB charger into phone then plug other end into PC.
Then:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
Make sure to install drivers for the phone first, just install HiSuite on Windows is easiest way. For ADB and fastboot, install '15 seconds adb fastboot" (Google it). If the terminal on your PC says something like "file not found", then either use the cd command (change directory) to move working directory to boot.img/recovery.img location, or move the files to C:\adb.
Once you're back up and booting you can then proceed to bootloader unlock, root, ROM flashing, etc.
Hope this helped!

Dear AnonVendetta, Thank you so much for the help. I was able to use the dload method. I read somewhere that the last firmware version needs to be updated using dload method. I had B361 before it got all messed up so tried that update and it started working.
Also, the fastboot won't flash any img file since the FRP was locked somehow.
Thank you for the help
@amannan: Glad it worked out, you must have already made progress before I posted, your response was too quick.
I do believe you cant flash anything via fastboot if the bootloader is still locked.
I've only owned my Honor 6X for about 2 weeks, I've had to do an emergency recovery several times due to various issues. This is my first Huawei but I've owned many Android devices before, and rooted/custom ROMmed most of them, so I'm just a newbie to Huawei but not Android in general. I'm getting the hang of things.
Good luck!

Yes, dload method is the only way to restore the device in such scenario. If frp is locked then condition is worse as you can not flash anything but only dload will help you. Correct package should be flashed and will succeed.
