So i ended up udating the framewrok passed 2.5 and now i cant get samsung pay to work again. When i go to app setting there isnt a setting to unistall samsung pay framework updates. Just get the setting that says manage storage. if i try and sideload even the samsumg pay app i get a notification that all apps associated with this action have been blocked or what not. look like ill have to maybe factory reset the phone. phuuuhh.
I don't know why you got the update in the first place. Did you block samsung push and samsung galaxy with disable pro ?

I tried to buy a new watch face but each time i try to purchase it says Samsung billing has to update. i click to allow and something seems to install on my phone but when i try to complete the purchase i get the same message that Samsung billing has to update. Any ideas? I cleared cache on gear app and turned off the phone and restarted it. Nothing helps.
Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem. I've contacted Samsung support and they advised me to uninstall all updates for Samsung billing and since it didn't work, they just asked to: "please wait for the update the Galaxy Apps developers are preparing for Samsung billing. After the update, the issue will be fixed." So... That's good?

Same here... Tried to uninstall updates for Samsung billing, but did not work. Happened since i updated my S6 to marshmallow. Someone tried factory reset? I dont want to try it, cause last time i did that, my gear s2 watch reseted too.
Any ideas how to fix that?
I actually contacted Samsung and we cleared caches on several apps and did an uninstall and reinstall and then it worked. Try contacting Samsung as I don't remember everything we did
Try to install Samsung Pay on my Gear S3 - phone: "Installation failed, try later
I had Samsung Pay working on the Gear S3 with my Blackberry Priv (Android OS with Marshmallow).
I've now moved to a Blackberry KeyOne (also Android OS but Nougat). I have re-established the new phone with the watch. Notices, work, S-health works.
On the phone, when I open Samsung gear app, Settings, Apps, I see Samsung Pay is installed. If I tap on it, it says "lastest version installed." I cannot UNinstall it (it is grayed out).
But on the watch, each time I invoke Pay, I am prompted to install S Pay in your Samsung Gear app and tap okay. It says check the phone. Where it fails (but as noted it claims it is installed.)
I got quite spoiled using Samsung Pay with the watch and miss it.
Any help appreciated.
For me it looks like Samsung only support Samsung handsets...
Samsung Pay is full of Security/Knox stuff...
So it is IMHO tooo hard to fix it easily and make it with every known non Samsung handset compatible... as End user...
And at the moment it is hard to find users who can help you with Gear S3/SPay problems...
So you more at your own...
Best Regards
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 7.0 on the old Renovate Ice rom. I recently had to wipe and reinstall the rom because I messed it up (can't remember what I did now that I think of it). I used to be able to toggle emergency alerts in the message app. Now, I can't anymore and I get all kinds of annoying **** at least once every other day like ATT test alerts. I can't disable it anymore since the reinstall. There is no "Privacy and Emergency" option under settings and none of the options in Samsung Messages have switches next to them and pressing them does nothing.
I really really need to get rid of this. Are there any hacks somewhere to do this? If no one knows, what custom roms can I use to do this? If possible, are there any Android 7.0 custom roms that would work? I really really don't want 8.0 because I'll lose Xposed compatibility.
Alright well I used a system app remover to remove samsung messages and installed a 3rd party app. The sheer incompetence of Samsung to make a working alert toggle switch is astounding.
A warning to anyone that has to or wants to do this themselves to avoid going through the multi-day process of upgrading to a new rom that probably works better and then putting all your **** back on your phone: Once you uninstall the system messages app you will NOT be able to reinstall it because of Samsung security that apparently prevents you from doing this. Trying to reinstall messaging or messaging services will give you the "Can't install because conflicting package name" horse ****. Someone that REALLY has a lot of time on their hands and knows what they're doing could perhaps convert a later version of Samsung Messaging to a zip rom patch and flash it via TWRP as a way of bypassing Samsung's security but that would be much more trouble than it's worth.
Anyone tried or make it work? Samsung pay or Google pay? On a8 2018? Samsung clearly states that a8 is compatible with pay but it cant be installed via play, google pay installs just fine but when i try to set it up for nfc it tells me that theres a problem and that phone is probably modified/rooted etc witch is not. So, is it useless for paying? Ideas?
thx
got it solved, for anyone who has a problem with google pay and phone is not rooted, disable oem unlocking, clear google pay app cache, reboot the phone and thats what did it did it for me, some people mention disabling usb debugging also but i didnt touch that
Hello everyone,
I've been searching trying to find a fix for this, but I can't seem to find one that works for my combo. If I missed something, please point me in the right direction. I have a Galaxy S2 Classic (SM-R735T) that I obtained from a friend because they don't use it anymore, and I'm able to get everything working on it except for one thing. I can't get Samsung Pay to work on it. I've tried doing a factory reset on the watch, removing all three apps (Galaxy Wearables, Samsung Pay, and Samsung Pay (Watch Plug-in)) from my phone and reinstalling them, multiple restarts, and I just can't get it to work.
Here are the versions I have listed for both Samsung Pay apps, and they seem to be fully updated.
Samsung Pay: 4.0.45
Samsung Pay (Watch Plug-In): 2.5.18.20106
Basically, I can get the phone and watch paired, and everything else seems to be working beautifully. Samsung Pay when I use it on my phone works wonderfully. But, when I try to open it on my watch, it tells me I need to log in to the app on my phone.. I click okay, and it starts to open Samsung Pay on my phone. It then pops up with the first attached screenshot, saying I need to update Samsung Pay. I click update, it downloads and tries to install the Samsung Pay update to what I believe is the watch (see the second screenshot to see the notification), but it winds up failing during the install. Has anyone been able to figure out a work around for this. The only thing I can think of is it seems this model of watch was released specifically for T-Mobile, but I'm trying to use it on Verizon. I'm not sure that would matter though as I do everything through Bluetooth and the phone.
