Xperia Z5 - How to activate the experimental menu? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone was replaced due to malfunction.
On the old phone I had one additional menu under the system group which had experimental options.
One of those options allowed further customization of the quick menu, like removing the bluetooth toggle which I constantly activate by accident.
Can't seem to find any information about this menu or how to activate it.

[Q] CM10 missing menu bar/button?

I have been using the latest CM10 stable build (cm-10.0.0-ville.zip) for a while now, and it's all been great. But I never noticed until now, in some applications there's no way of getting into the settings of these applications as there's no menu button showing.
For example, WhatsApp Messenger should have some 3-dot-menu-button-overlay but it's not showing anywhere. Is this a known issue for the latest CM10 build, or is it just me being stupid?
I already enabled this, and rebooted: Settings > System > Hardwarebuttons > Show 3-dots menu button in apps
You should be able to enable the recent apps button to open menu in system settings...

I know I should, but how is this achieved other than enabling the 3-dotted menu-bar button?

Nah I don't think long pressing home will work... If you go to phone settings look for an option like enable custom action. It will be inside a different option .that's not exactly what it says but similar... And you will be able to enable long press actions on your keys..

It does on Dark Jelly out-of-the-box.

[GUIDE] Accessing hidden settings menu

Hey guys
I thought i would just let you know how to find some hidden settings menu on our ace 3
To find the hidden menus, you need Google Gesture Search
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.gesturesearch&hl=en
Some settings hidden in our ace is power saving mode, pagebuddy, and many more for you to find out
Once the app is installed, gesture type the letters, for example, if you are searching up power then draw a "P" and then "o", etc until the power setting comes up.
I have attached screenshots below in case I'm unclear or you get lost

On 24.3.7, the 3dot menu "key-button" is missing now on many apps.

I have to resort to creating a shortcut to settings for that app if one exists! Some apps have no settings access & need the dots.
Strange too is how, on these apps, that on the previous build the dots would take up a lot of space in landscape screen.
Not rooted or unlocked.

Did you turn on settings / display / use long-press for menu? If so, then long-press the task key for the menu. If you want the three dots menus back, turn that option off.

That was it. I must have swiped it on inadvertently!

Homescreen shortcuts

Any idea, how can I disable automatic creation of shortcuts on the home screen?
In the launcher settings (usually long press on empty space > Settings icon on the bottom of the screen).
it used to be in the Google Play settings but it seems to have vanished from there

It should be there in Oreo, but obviously Nokia didn't implemented that in the original ROM. Attaching a screenshot

Way to add flashlight to lockscreen or gestures?

As title says. I have been looking all over to do this somehow on my note20 ultra, and None of what I have come across works.
There is a preselected list of widgets to add to lock screen, cannot add anything new.
And same with the gestures.
Is there just No way of doing this either of those ways, or am I missing something?
1. As of saying about gestures for flashlight in samsung,
There is a way to turn on flashlight by press and hold power bottom and then click on side key settings<open app< torch, that will enable you to turn on flashlight by clicking two times 'power bottom'.
But you have to be quick in clicking and just two times click.
If you click three times that will call emergency number of your reign.
2. In the case of lock screen:-
-> Swipe down with fingers then click on settings icon,
-> Swipe down and look for lock screen, click on it,
-> Swipe all the way down and click on shortcuts,
-> Turn it on if its off,
-> Then choose which side you want, to open flashlight,
-> Choose torch.
This will enable you to turn on flahlight by swiping in any direction from torch icon.

Neither of those methods are working for me. Double clicking the power button ooens the camera.
Power + middle is screenshot.
Power + top does nothing.
For the lock screen. I dint have any optio. For shortcuts. The screenshot shiws all thats available to try and change anyrhing available there.
After messing around with it. I remembered womthing about changing the side key functions. I was able to change the double click for camera to make it open flashlight instead.
Thank you for the help
1. Again hold power botton and than click on side key settings< click on open apps and then click on settings icon on the right side of open apps choose torch (first app).
