ok so i have a moto g that is fully stock and all my apps were from the playstore and i never noticed any bad lag at all. but one day, out of the blue, i wake up to my phone showing the blue m logo and then a black screen and repeat.
so i tinkered around with it and searched the internet and heres what i found out:
I can get into fastboot mode but cant use any tools except for the barcode tool otherwise the phone just goes back into its boot loop. (yes i selected with the volume up key)
the phone has no power what so ever unless its plugged in. and i dont have to press anything to start the loop, it starts on its own as soon as i plug it in. the led blinks white twice and shows the m logo for about 5 seconds then a black screen and repeats once more then it is black for about 5 minutes then its goes into the loop once more.
i cant flash the stock firmware because when i plug the phone into my computer and put it in fastboot mode, the fastboot menu pops up for a mere seconds then the screen goes black and goes into the loop again.
the phone is not damaged and worked with no problems a few days back. i have been through countless websites!
any ideas?
Hi,
Can you specify if it's a 2013 or 2014 moto X.... And I will have your thread moved to your device Q&A section.
Sounds like a stuck power button to me though.
Thanks!
Hello guys, hope someone could help me.
I have a Moto G that has a bootloop, I cannot get into bootloader menu either. I've tried combinations that worked for me previously (Power + Vol Down, Power + Vol Up + Vol Down) in different time intervals (Up to 2 minutes) and when I release the buttons the screen blinks and it starts again with the looping, like it tries to enter and fails. When I plug the charger it shows the battery logo and 0% and it loops in that screen too, it just won't charge. I was able to charge the battery externally and it's still bootlooping and no bootloader menu. What could have happened? I didn't install anything new, the last thing I did was plugged it with a car charger it was like 20% and it restarted and started looping. I've tried everything I could find on the Internet but I couldn't find someone with my same problem. Please help.
Hi. First of all, thanks for taking the time to read this. I know it's a long post, I'm just trying to be as detailed as possible.
I've a Moto G XT-1032 that stopped working a couple days ago. It has the original battery, original software. It didn't came with an original charger, so I have been using a Samsung Galaxy Tab one. The phone is almost two years old.
This is how it all started: It had low battery. When I got home it connected itself to the wi fi, and tons of whatsapp messages came at the same time. It went off.
I thought maybe it had drained the battery. Plugged it in to charge, didn't get the led on, and the battery showed 0% for an instant. Then the phone turned itself on, got the M logo and then the screen went black (like... some sort of backlight is on, but the screen is just black)
I turn it off, and it goes back on. No battery image, straight to the M logo, and then black screen. I tried holding power + vol down keys for more than 120 secs, finger pain is the only I got. It can access fastboot mode, but doesn't matter which option I pick, normal powerup, recovery, factory... I select them and then press vol up, but it just goes to the white screen with the M logo, then black screen.
When I plug the charger, and go to fastboot mode, it doesn't show battery charging. Just says battery low (or battery ok). When I plug it to the computer via the usb cable, and access fastboot, it shows battery charging.
The computer doesn't detect the device at all. First time I plugged it, it tried to install drivers, but failed. I downloaded them from motorola's page.
If I open motorola device manager, it tells me there aren't updates for my phone... So... I guess it's recognizing it? But I still can't see it. Windows only shows me my C and D drives, but not the phone. Tried different usb cables, different usb ports. Nothing changes.
I sent it to a service, they tested the battery and charging port, they said those were fine. But didn't find the problem.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Hello all,
My Moto G was running on 4.4.4 and last day morning i ran 5.0.1 update. once it has completed download installation i pressed ok for installation then left the phone there. after some time i noticed my phone is not powering on. it was fully charged in the previous night. i did many methods to wake it up.
removed the battery and plugged back.
installed new battery (replacement battery)
Device Status.
once if we try to power up the device. some time led blinks for multiple times then goes off.
i tried to connect the device in pc. getting error msg of usb recolonization error.
battery works with another same model.
is there any way to wake up my device.
please suggest me some ideas.
hey guys i jst installed the stock nougat firmware and after that i jst removed the unlocked bootloader and changed it to a google symbol and after that when i started the phone i had an update so while phone was updating the software is it all went blank and since then i tried to solve this problem
i tried this things:
1: 6 hours on charging(the only thing is happening is that led light is blinking (but fun fact when i remove the charger the light keeps blinking))
2: i cant get to bootloader the phone led just keeps blinking
3: when i connect the phone to pc and just keep pressing the power button the pc makes sound of connecting and disconnecting a device so i cant figure out whether it is on or bootloader or enything else
4: after 6 hours of charging if i kept the power button holding nothing happens(also tried the down volume button and power button for almost 10 mins each)
