Where can I download Odin? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I would like to flash the Nougat Beta on my Galaxy S7 using Odin, however, I can't find an official site to download Odin from. I downloaded it through this site: http://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/
I downloaded the 3.12.3 version and flashed the beta on my S7. It works fine, but I'm worried that I didn't use the official Odin and that I maybe installed malware on my device?
Please can someone tell me whether the source I got Odin from is fine?

There is no official site, ODIN is a flash tool, it doesn't contain malware, you choose what you flash with it
Code:

You can't say for sure that it doesn't contain malware when you download it from dubious sites...
When I flashed I skipped the mentioned site above on purpose and used ODIN which was included in CF autoroot's downloads.
But there's not the 3.12 version included

You can't be sure the exe isn't windows malware (Antivirus's are cool), but it is a flash tool for Android, you have to tell it what to flash, and considering there is only an exe and an ini file, it would be fairy obvious if it had .MD5 / .TAR files in there too, and were auto loaded ready to flash to the phone as default

Yup, that's what I meant.
And the fact that there's no official developer site for ODIN makes it a bit uncomfortable

If you install citrio browser, it will boost a little bit your download speed, i download big foles from there(it stills downloading a little slower but citrio gives him a little boost)

Maybe specify your model and country so maybe someone has the firmware you need uploaded somewhere. Otherwise it is hard to help you.
You can install latest factory firmware for your model with Samsung Smart Switch. It will download directly from Samsung servers at full speed and install it on your phone. It's the simplest, fastest way to go back to stock if you don't already have firmware file.

Because Odin doesn't work outside bootloader mode. If you don't know what you are doing, have someone more experienced reload the software onto the device.
Also check Samfirm tool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647) put in model number and region - auto mode - binary nature + check and decrypt auto then flash in odin

Thak you , i root with odin3. I took root file from here (https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ )now its done.

The issue is you turned of oem unlock which is always needed. I think only option is flashing of stock rom through odin no other option i know of. i guess its hardbricked mostly.
Download the latest samfirm tool available on xda.
Open the samfirm tool. Enter model and region. Tick Auto and binary nature.
Click on Check update. It will show the latest firmware available on samsung server.
Then click on download. It will download four file full firmware. Then flash it through odin.
You need a strong internet connection to download the file.
All the best.

Simply install TWRP using odin. And flash hyperion v2 rom alongwith fix file. I hope it'll sort out ur volte problem as well you'll get a high quality rom experience for this model. I am using the same in India.
Samfirm is completely garbage.use updato from play store, it's called android updates after u search for updato.download and Search up your firmware. Copy to computer and unzip then reboot to download mode.load firmware into AP slot. Tick nand erase and reboot. Begin flash of firmware. When it reboots u are fully stock. Start over, flash twrp then whatever ROM and root etc. Samfirm never even works. Don't waste your time.

DBT region receives firmware with OXM multi-CSC, which also includes TPH CSC (Portugal), so there should not be any issues.
Flash
I loaded the .tar files into Odin.
Auto Reboot is checked.
F.Reset Time is checked.
Everything else is unchecked.
After my phone boots into download mode do i have to press anything on it or i just press start on Odin ?
The only phone that i have flashed was my Galaxy S in 2010 and i haven't done anything like this before.

Use HOME_CSC not CSC, however, if there would be any issue during the upgrade, the storage would show only 16GB and you would have to do a factory reset anyway. If you are going to try to do the upgrade, I strongly recommend backing up your data.

Yes, the firmware for any regions included within OXM multi-CSC is the same.
For variant G950FD i neeed to use this same firm, right?
EDIT: i did this method and works fine. But the baseband was not to be CRB7? My phone says baseband G950FXXU1CRAP and the compilation number said R16NW.GF50FXXU1CRB7. Does its good?

Yes, that's right. Samsung did not update modem firmware or CSC package. Only bootloader and AP (system) were updated.
I flashed Oreo CRB7 final build from Germany and everything is great. But notifications for viber doesnt work as supposed. When i snooze them for only 15 minutes they never appear again and even after 2 hours when i open viber app i have new messages for which i didnt get notification neither sound and stays like that. But when i restart phone everything becomes normal untill i snooze some notification again. I did clean install, clear cash twice and factory reset the phone before Oreo.
Followed the instructions from this site step by step (it was flashing with extracting .lz4 extensions). Help?

Downgrade to earlier patch

Hello, i would to ask about how to downgrade to the earlier version of the stock ROM
I already download the correct country code, variant and everything else but when i click start in Odin
It says that cm.bin fail and the process is canceled, how to fix this issue?
Thanks a lot
SM-A750GN with XID country code, here is the firmware that i use https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-a7/SM-A750GN/XID/download/A750GNDXU1ARIE/241618/
and this is my device firmware now A750GNDXU2ASB4
or is it not possible to downgrade? any help around this as to not void my warranty if possible
There could be a couple of things:
1. You could be using an outdated version of Odin
2. You need to re-download the firmware, try searching updato for your firmware
3. Maybe the current/latest version of the firmware installed on your phone locks your boot loader to the current version (binary version matches the boot loader)and that is why you can't downgrade
What you could try (definitely at your OWN risk) because if things go wrong you can end up with an expensive paper weight:
1. Unpack the firmware with 7zip, remove the file (cm.bin) then repack to tar with 7zip
2. You can try to flash just the AP and CSC

You can't downgrade because the bootloader is protected by Rollback Prevention, the only way (maybe) to use Oreo is to flash TWRP and wipe system data and use any custom Oreo ROM.
If you want to know about Rollback Prevention then there is a attached pdf from the Samsung Technical documentation
