my s7, s*** smartphone - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

hello,
I have my phone for 2 months, and I made my phone fell this morning
the screen is broken, the phone turns on but the screen stays black ... what ??
Is it possible to resell it to buy another?
How much it cost me to replace the screen?

Ever heard of Google?

Yes i've used it every day ,and before post here, that''s great tool ! And you?? Have you got something for me or you just want to be wicked?

Your questions are pointless
How do we know how much it will cost to replace your screen? We don't know the prices of screens in your area or how much to fit them, Google and find out yourself
And why are you even asking if it is possible to sell it to buy another phone?
Put it on eBay and find out yourself, Google the price of another phone then you'll know
Pointless questions you can find out yourself very easily

I read my first post, and it's not complete , i would like to know if i can do something by me for fixed it .. or if i need to change the screen... and if i must change the screen.. the price or if it's possible to resell it like that ...

[Q] Cracked screen - options?

Hello guys,
Has anyone ever needed a screen for their i727? A friend of mine managed to drop my phone on a step, facing down.
So at first you could only see a little of the top part of the screen ( with the lower half non functional) and afterwards it went all black, you can't see anything on it anymore. Volume rocker and on/off buttons work.
Do you know what would be the best option for me to get a screen/display from, given I am from Europe/Romania? Samsung here said that they don't fix something not intended for our market ( lol )...
So, would ebay be a good option? Are they original ? [le:] --- hurr durr .-- I'm a new user so I can't post links to ebay... I found 2 sellers (for white version) [/le]
Also, could it be more than just the screen ? My laptop sees it (but obviously can't select the memory card). what else could be affected?
Thanks a lot and if anybody has any other sites ( I chose ebay because they ship here).
aristik
It's the screen. Youtube, search for "i727 disassembly" or "i727 screen replacement", look at it, if you feel confident enough - buy one on eBay and do the replacement.

I agree completely, my friend replaced his screen this way. However, if you are not comfortable doing it, you might just want to buy a new one. The phone is cheap now that the S3 and S4 are out.
Also depending on how bad the drop was there could be lots of things wrong/damaged with your phone.

thank you for your replies. I just dropped it off at a guy who has a service shop (well sort of) and he will take a look and see if anything else is wrong with it.. The phone is indeed cheap, this being one of the reasons I bought this model ( and also the 4 touch sensitive buttons at the bottom - not fancying the new trend of the galaxy family).
The thing was that I was trying to find something that was indeed OEM branded. I was afraid and still am to get something that will brake shortly after replacement. Even so, the display is 70% of the price of the phone lol..drat!
Anyway thanks for the replies...I was really enjoying the upgrade from my old infuse ..while it lasted.. :crying:
Cheers
Yeah, it is an expensive part but if you take the phone apart, you'll notice it makes up about half the phone.

[Q] Broken screen repair help.

I have dropped my phone and the screen kind of went crazy with colors and overdrawing images and slowly became completely unusable. Can the screen be replaced? I found a bunch of video and instructions on how to do it, but was wondering if replacing the screen will fix it or it's a bigger problem with some broken chip or smth like that.
If i can't fix it, any suggestion as to which phone to get as a replacement. I love custom roms and play with them all the time, but I am not uptodate as to which phone are good for this.
Thanks. Any help is appreciated.
Mef.
screen replacement
it appears that you not only broke the screen but also the LCD behind the screen. It can be replaced, I have done several. you can pick up a screen with LCD digitizer for less than 100.00 on ebay. I also saw several with frames. If you get one with the frame it is very simple to change. Make sure it is with the correct service provider and you can put your boards in the new one without heating yours up removing the old components and installing the new ones. If you have any questions or concerns let me know. I can walk you through it.

Thanks for the reply. I did find some replacements for the LCD as well and the instructions are good. I am now debating whether I should just get a new phone. Any suggestions as to which one could be a good replacement?
just my opinion but I prefer the samsung phones, However there are many great phones out there. When I'm looking for something I new I like to research as much as I can about the product and compare them against each other. When It comes to phones it depends on what you want to be able to do with the phone. Not to mention that as soon as you but the latest phone on the market a new one will come out soon after....

s7 edge vs lg g6 vs htc10

Hello.
I wanted to change my phone lately , so at first I looked at the phone I loved last year , htc10 (because of the clean android , no bloatware and the all around decent-ness) , until I noticed Id have a hard time finding screen protectors , cases , etc for the phone in my country , and it doesnt have warranty in my country and finding a repairman is hard if needed. so buying the htc 10 would be risky in the long run (and short run if I drop it or something)
then I saw the s7 edge on sale for a reasonable price (around $100 more expensive than the htc 10) so I considered that as well , but thats where I have my biggest question.
I have seen glass screen protectors for s7edge but all the comments said that it affected the touchscreen making it less sensitive to touch and all that . are the glass screen protectors for s7edge really that bad or are they the same as other phones' ?
(and by the way , weird as it may sound , s7edge is cheaper than normal s7 in my country , so I wouldnt want s7 , and I dont like touchwiz , so not a fan of samsung , but the s7edge price is nice when compared to my other choices)
then I saw the LG g6 , which I really like , but the software doesnt look good either (i've heard its similar to touchwiz about bloatware , and I dont like how it looks) and the previous flagships have had issues such as bootloops and broken camera lenses , which makes me worry about buying it.
i was also wondering if LG had any form of themes app similar to htc/samsung which could change the entire look of the phone ?
any recommendations which one to buy?
thanks in advance

Cracked Screen Need Replacement

I bought a used Honor 8 that has a cracked front screen. It's tolerable but I've decided to get it fixed. The screen that is on now was a replacement screen. The lady told me that it cracked not too long after she got it replaced and that it happened without her dropping it or anything like that. She thinks that the person who replaced it, didn't know what they were doing. As of now, the phone works great but the screen isn't as bright as the original and seems to have burn in. I have thought about replacing it myself and wanted to ask, has anyone replaced their screen themselves? How'd it go? Would you recommend it? And if you got it replaced somewhere, what was the cost? How did it look like afterwards? I appreciate any and all answers!

Hello!
My screen is broken too. After a long search i've decided to order from Witrigs. There is only the custom screen available which is not as good as the oem one., but these are the best i could find from a reliable source. There is a video on the screens page which shows you how to install the new one. It will need some cheap equipment too to open the phone, like plastic-opening-card and case-opening-tool(the guitar one), yeah and don't forget the the LCD frame sticker. (and the suction cup, if you don't have any at home)
I'm still waiting for the parts to arrive, hoping that the screen's quality is acceptable compared to the original one. Also ordered a custom back panel because my got scratchy.
I'll write my experience about the screen and the repair when the parts arrive and assembled the phone.
Sry i wasn't able to post links because this is my first post here, but its easy to find them. For guide go for the video.
It's costed about 35$ with shipping and the back panel.
