Am intimately aware of flashing through Odin, CWRP, and Flashfire, Les assume the phone is in download mode and successfully connected to Odin. However when looking for the required file ,(whether the required file be a BL or CP or some other file, the file does not appear, USB connection is not the problem. I feel like I am doing something really stupid but I just can't figure out what
What do you mean they don't appear?
They're not on the phone, they're on the PC because they are part of the ROM you downloaded
ODIN is the flash tool you use to flash BL CP AP CSC from the ROM you downloaded from the net onto your PC from updato or sammobile or samfirm tool

Right... so add them to ODIN and flash?
When the phone is in download mode, you shouldn't see anything on the phone, just a highlighted COM port at the top of ODIN
You need to explain more about "They don't appear"
If they are already on the PC, how can they not appear? Screenshot?

Let's assume a cp file has been downloaded to PC. If I place that cp file in Odin in the cp slot I won't see it?

You should see it as my screenshot above, not on the phone though

Ok so after getting into Download Mode.

Thanks worked perfectly.
Not a problem.
Can a DEV please create a Version for SM-G9550 Snapdragon Version? I already tried another CSC zip to change to VZW (Verizon) USA. Works perfect, phone is recognized after the to install bat as VZW
i took the VoLTE_Fix.zip from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634782202 its from the 955U Thread
"Now Unzip the VoLTE_Fix.zip Inside the SM-G955U1_System folder
Click and run 1_Install.bat
After zip is installed phone will reboot
Once phone is at setup screen reboot back to recovery
In recovery click Apply Update From ADB
Click and run 2_Install.bat Inside the SM-G955U1_System folder"
At this Point this works perfect , but i wonder about the boot Vibrate, its longer definitive. Is this normal?
Now my Question:
I need Vodafone (VD2) instead the VZW. Could a Dev build a Version with the CSC from VD2 inside? I tried a few times build own, but not really successfull.
i also tried the VZW flashable CSC test. But after install that i need to restore EFS infos to get it work
Really NO ONE?? NO ANSWER??
What exactly are you trying to do here? I know with the US Snapdragon varient changing CSC features amongst carriers is one adb command away.
Have you read through any of the carrier switching threads?

I have extracted VD2 from CSC selection zip from S8/S8+ forums (exynos versions but CSC is same for snap too)
Made a zip file, try flashing via Recovery and see if it works.
VD2-CSC-S8S8p.zip (This has OMC file structure... if this doesn't work, you may try renaming Folder_OMC to Folder_CSC in the zip and try)
Wow, that one works. First update to CHC_G9550CHC1AQJ4 , then TWRP 3.1.1.1 . insert your zip. After restart I only need to "activate" the correct CSC in Phone Info app. Then i reset the Phone manually and all set to VD2. And Sales Code is set to VD2. Thanks.
Look here.

Could you tell me how do you build this csc? And maybe you know a good program to pass verify stock adb package transfer . Because the volte zip from verizon works in adb without root and twrp.

I've tried winrar, 7zip and the stock windows 10 file explorer to extract the zip file . Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

As far as I'm aware the update for pie beta should be installed via stock recovery. It is not a Odin flashable file
And this is why I suggested you not try the upgrade. Very easy, and I mean, very ease to brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

Because you don't flash the oneui. You put the update.zip file on your external sd card, power off your phone, while powered off - press and hold the bixby button, press and hold the volume up button, continue holding them and press and hold the power button until you get into the recovery screen. Continue to follow the instructions on the page you linked to me...but these instructions were one that page.

Right there is no full rom for one ui yet. you can odin clean to the latest oreo update but then you must flash from sd or sideload from pc to apply the one ui update.
Hello
My phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 had encountered some problems and I tried to flash it with N7100XXUFNI4.
However, it failed and tells me that PIT file is missing.
So when I added a PIT file, it says repartition operation failed.
And now this is what my phone currently looks like:

Can you still get to download mode?
When you flashed the PIT file, did you also flash the stock firmware along with it? Did you have the "repartition" option checked in Odin when you flashed it.
If not, try it.

Hello, thanks for your reply!
I cannot get into download mode anymore, there is no words or icons available.
Yes, I put the PIT file and the stock firmware together in Odin when I flash.
I also did checked the repartition option.

It seems to me that you might have flashed the wrong firmware or the wrong PIT.
Does your device charge? Does it vibrate when you power it on?
Have you tried using the button combo to boot into download mode then press volume up to enter download mode then try flashing via Odin again? Regardless of what is being displayed, it might actually be booting to download mode, if so, you can probably still flash the device.
The display not displaying correctly might be due to the kernel not being correct for your device. The kernel contains the drivers to make the display work correctly.

I know, I know. I´m a stupid c*nt.
So I booted in download/odin mode, loaded TWRP onto it. Touchscreen wouldn´t work. Rebooted into download mode/screen again, loaded default firmware on it because TWRP wouldn´t work.
Now it only shows this:

}
(found picture on the internet).
Can´t turn it off, I only can reboot it by holding down ´Power+Volume down´.
Emergency recovery / Device initialization in SmartSwitch doesn´t work.
Model is SM-G955F - S8+
Is there anything that I can do now besides buying a new phone?
Alright, I found out that I can reset the phone using Odin3 and a .tar
Keep this thread as archive in case someone needs it in the future.
Hello, same problem, can you please describe you did step by step?

Just connect your phone to your PC, open Odin, load a .tar file into AP (e.g. twrp .tar file) and click start. Should automatically restart the phone and fix the problem.
Remove hidden.img from the md5 file. The error you are getting is because the modem.img isnt flashed. You van use 7zip to edit the files.
Sorry im not at home atm so cant tell which file it is.
