i think its problem with headsets which dont have mic...

Maybe a new ROM or kernal will help.

A110q, Have tried many headphones like Nokia CoLoud Pop, digi flip, etc. The catch is that, you will have to press the button on the headphone to get proper sound.
Any headphone without mic and/or remote works fine but one thing that I have noticed that the in box headphone has mic and button and it works fine, just that it sucks.
Micromax is well known through out the country so I believe I am not the only one with this issue?
So is there any fix for it?
currently using 4.2.1
This is the problem with all old Micromax phones. They have 3.5mm jack similar to that used in some old Nokia phones, so some old Nokia headsets with mic are supported but not new ones and other headphones with mic. But new Micromax models such as turbo ,turbo mini, magnus etc have no such problems. The only solution to this is to find some Chinese headphones with mic made for Nokia or to use headphones without mic.

Thank you!

Hi,
Bose headphone's in-line remote and mic (maybe mic works) does not fully work with Xperia Z3 (android phones) out of the box.... so was wondering if there is any cable out there that can be used on these headphones and has in-line mic with remote that works on Z3 ?
any idea if this will work? -> http://forecasts.bsch.com.au/stormcast.html?ops=gfs:2014120218:2014120506:aus:ts:null:0#sc
p.s. does anyone knows the schematics of cable or electronically what makes the remote button work on Z3 ?
Im sure you can find a pin adapter online, my old Philips earphones came with an adapter, to use with iPhone etc.
Hello, my friend has an older phone with Android Gingerbread and she bought nice shiny new Sennheiser big headset with combined jack for both input and output. When she plugs it in and calls me she can hear me but I cannot hear her, because microphone does not work. The jack is totally the same as on other earbuds headphones with integrated mic which we have and which work with this phone just fine. The new shiny ones work with my newer (Xperia Z3 compact) phone with mic too. I don't understand what can be a difference. There is no settings in this LG Android regarding headphones or microphone. The icon in the top bar is always headphones regardless of if I plug the earbuds or the Sennheiser where mic does not work.
Any idea how to fix this or what can be causing this?
so this looks like a mystery I guess :-]
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
What is the device of your friend?
I have been using my xperia c for over a year, I bought a skull candy s2dufz-385 and they were awesome for a week. Then the left speaker died, when I checked the reviews everyone had the same problem so I purchased a better headphone, sennheiser cx 180 they were awesome for a month, but after that one speaker (right) died, (I.e.) volume decreased
This might be a wired question to ask, since always one speaker of headphone dies, is itpossible that the problem might ne with my xperia??? Or am unfortunate enough that I always get khatara product??????
Am losing so many headphones please help
*update : or is it because I use my headphones while charging????

I have used Sony headphones and nothing like this happened, currently I am using Beats Studio Wireless (with and without wire) but nothing like this has happened. I guess you are not handling your headphones properly.
