A total newbie in rooting, please pardon my ignorance.
I am a Sony fan, I have a couple Sony tabs, Z4 and Z3, but but I am running out of internal storage on my Sony Z3 Tab. I have now Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 T719.
Not too crazy about the TouchWizz and the Samsung system. If I were to root my Samsung Tablet, can I then put Sony firmware on it?

Well, the Xperia z rom which you saw installed on the galaxy s3 on YouTube was most probably a custom galaxy s3 rom included many features ported from the Xperia z and themed to look like the z's UI.
So, you obviously can't flash a Galaxy s3 rom on the Xperia Z or vice versa. However, you could try looking for custom roms for your Xperia ion which have Samsung features. Or, if you're only after one or two features in particular, you could just install a replacement app for it. For example, the touchwiz launcher has been ported to most devices, floating video has several alternatives on the playstore, etc.
I think the one thing you're going to struggle to find is a port of the Samsung Camera.

i wants to root my Samsung galaxy S4 mini I9192 4.4.2 Built id KOT49H.I9192DDUCOF2. when i google it ,all rooting guides said only about S4 mini I9192 4.4.2 without mentioning Built id(there are some but none of them same as mine). i am not expert but i know i m using kitkat OS, by rooting i can get Lolipop.

Anyway, S4 mini never receive official Lollipop update, so go ahead, root your device and flash custom ROM with 5.x.x baseband.

I have gather I will have to root my device and install a custom ROM, but I'm not certain how to do this properly. Where could I get help (by re-posting this question) or a guide that might show how to do this. Is it even possible? Thanks.
