Hi folks,
I bricked my phone by deleting everything from TWRP by checking everything from 'advanced format'.
Now my phone is completely bricked - black screen and does not respond to power button.
The only thing seems to work is that it can be seen as a flash drive when connected to PC.
I see the phone's internal storage now has only one empty folder - TWRP. :crying:
Could any one help me un-brick this phone please?
Many thanks!
Edit: Problem solved.
By holding volume up and power to force power off.
It automatically reboots and re-flashed with stock ROM.
TWRP version: 3.0.2

Download and copy any custom ROM of your choice to external sd card (update.zip format) by using any card reader (if your pc/laptop is not recognizing your tab and storage when connected).
Now power off your tablet and press and hold left volume button and then press and hold power until Acer icon appears and white text in the upper left corner, now release the buttons.
It will automatically install the ROM!
NOTE: Do not extract the downloaded zip format ROM. Copy it as it is.
Hope it helped you.
Hi,
Thanks for the response, its not working. Nothing on the screen on power up. The whole system is gone, no boot or recovery partition.
I guess the only way is to use some tool to sort of reconfigure the partitions into the internal memory. I have no idea how to do that. Appreciate any advise.
Try to get into download/recovery mode and flash stock ROM.
I guess it got soft bricked.
Thank you for reading in advance! Any ideas here would be appreciated!! I will try and describe what happened in as much detail as possible...
1. Flashed MIUI on my Xperia miro, was working fine
2. Restored apps and system data from Titanium
3. Tried opening my contacts but got an error message, some android process not responding and then the contacts app would crash too (this happened multiple times)
4. Decided to do factory reset so I backed up everything again onto Titanium (I'm not too worried about the back up as all apps can be downloaded again/contacts collected again)
5. On MIUI went to Settings/Backup and reset/Factory reset and reset the whole thing including unmounting SD card
6. I left the phone to do this and when I came back it was completely unresponsive
I now can't do any kind of boot (just power button, volume up + power, volume down + power, both volume + power) and I can't boot into fastboot or flash (volume up + USB, volume down + USB), it doesn't vibrate when powering on or show any LEDs, the only response I can get from my phone is that the computer recognises it when I plug it in, but it can't find or install any drivers for whatever mode my phone is now in...
I've tried everything I can think of (e.g. trying to boot into recovery etc) so now I'm stuck :crying: I can access an external SD card and put files onto that then put it back in the phone if that helps at all.... Thanks in advance!!
Maybe your battery is dead? Charge it via external charger , and then try connecting in fastboot.

I have an lg l70 that will boot up but setup wizard stops. All I get is your recent screen appears hear. People can call me but I can not navigate really because I guess full installation was not completed.
I was trying to install paranoid rom, installed twrp did fartory reset in twrp, installed paranoid rom sucessfully. Tried to install google apps, got error 70 due to insufficient space. Rebooted in twrp and now I am stuck.
I have an lg ms323 from metropcs. The phone will not go into any mode if you turn phone off then turn back on holding down the power button and +volume (releasing power button when phone vibrates). It just goes back to old carbon 4.4.4 rom again without installing anything.
Do you know of anything I can do to try and save the phone. When hooked up to usb and computer, I can see my files on the phone, both internal storage and external sdcard.
Any help is appreciate

Hi,

Good luck!
Good day everyone,
I have been facing a huge problem in the past weeks after I have done one mistake.
I was installing a newer version of TWRP recovery and instead of installing the image I installed it as zip.
My OS was gone, I couldn't get it to "recover" my OS in any way. The kernel seems fine.
I have tried to use a micro SD and USB cable to install a new ROM but TWRP couldn't detect my SD card and my PC couldn't connect to my phone.
I also wiped my whole data.
My phone doesn't boot in the recovery unless it's not charging and start with ONLY pushing the power button.
Holding power and volume up will make it vibrate 3 times and restart.
Charging the phone makes it stuck on the android logo after the battery status.
The phone overheats and the battery drains extremely .
The only message I got from TWRP is, "No OS installed".
Other logs are inaccessible or wiped.
I would appreciate any advice
Thanks in advance!
1. Turn off your phone
2. Enter the phone Flashmode by holding the volume down button, then connect to a PC (the led should be green and your PC should recognize your Z5).
3. Flash the FTFs in Flashtool.
Information about how to that can be found on this forum.

This might help.
So I have Galaxy S7 (Flat). It had installed TWRP with Magisk on stock Android. I decided to install LineageOS (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-q-s-lineageos-with-microg-for-samsung-s7-flat-edge.3921094/) (clean install using TWRP) and it installed successfully, everything was fine, I've turned my phone off and on few times and system was booting without any problems.
But then I decided to boot into TWRP (using key combination) to install magisk and... it's stuck on loading screen forever.
I can't even turn it off ! And my phone is getting hotter and hotter. Please help !
I can't turn it off, because simply holding power button doesn't do anything.
I can restart it by holding power + volume down ,but it just opens TWRP again.
I've read I could boot into Maintenance Boot Mode ,but it requires to turn off a phone, which I'm unable to do.
Only thing I am able to do is to boot into Download Mode, but it doesn't change anything (still cant turn off phone in this mode)
Should I try to disassembly the phone and take out the battery manually? I don't really see any other option.
Did I bricked my phone ?
@edit
I have backup of stock system made by TWRP, but it doesn't change anything as I cant use TWRP.
I didn't install LineageOS custom recovery.
Ok, so I left phone overnight to deplete the battery. And it didn't work ! I thought that battery is dead and phone is off, but the moment I've plugged the power cord it automatically turned on into TWRP screen, like a zombie !
However I've solved the problem. As I was able to get phone into Download Mode (by holding power+volume down+home) I used Odin. I've installed newest Odin on PC, Samsung USB drivers and flashed the newest TWRP tar. Although it was scary, I was almost sure I've bricked my phone. Adb/fastboot were not detecting the phone.
And after re-flashing TWRP everything works fine. Also LineageOS booted like a charm, it stay intact.
So, it seems that installing LineageOS somehow corrupted my TWRP, despite that I un-ticked the option to install LineageRecovery ,so technically it shouldn't mess with it at all.
Anyway, problem solved.
