Hi, I have an ACER A200 Tablet. The partitions are totally wiped out and not able to boot, basically nothing on screen when power on. Anyone can advise how to recover from here? Any tools? ADB etc nothing is working. Thanks.

Download and copy any custom ROM of your choice to external sd card (update.zip format) by using any card reader (if your pc/laptop is not recognizing your tab and storage when connected).
Now power off your tablet and press and hold left volume button and then press and hold power until Acer icon appears and white text in the upper left corner, now release the buttons.
It will automatically install the ROM!
NOTE: Do not extract the downloaded zip format ROM. Copy it as it is.
Hope it helped you.
Hi,
Thanks for the response, its not working. Nothing on the screen on power up. The whole system is gone, no boot or recovery partition.
I guess the only way is to use some tool to sort of reconfigure the partitions into the internal memory. I have no idea how to do that. Appreciate any advise.
Try to get into download/recovery mode and flash stock ROM.
I guess it got soft bricked.

Hi all,
Was wondering if i can get help or a solution to my problem.
I have an advance II novo 7 tablet, First of I''l start at the beginning.
I flashed my tablet and before i did i done a nandroid back up,
now i have realised i have flashed it with the wrong rom for the simple fact when i press
left, my tablet pointer goes right. In my tablet it wont sync with pc nor will it boot in to recovery mode.
All my programmes are missing except terminal and a few others, my tablet will not connect to wifi.
So i can't just download a copy of CWM prem, an install it.
Oh yeah my memory card is full but it's like a virus, i can't access it and as above
everything is back to front. Can i even install or do something via terminal?!?
Any help would be much apprectiated, as at the moment I'm sitting basically with a dead slate.
Kind regards.
Joseph.
From my experience, the custom ROMs have a shortcut to boot into recovery. Press and hold power button, when menu arrives, goto Restart > Recovery, press OK.
Please tell if it helps or not
I just messed up big time. I wanted to do a clean install of a ROM on my TF300. I went into CWM and under mounts and storage I selected "wipe data and data sd" Now I can't seem to load CWM anymore and I can't find any way to transfer a ROM onto the sd card to reinstall. I have been able to access my TF300 through fastboot, but I don't know how to get it all to install that way. Are there any links or is there anything you guys would suggest so that I can get my TF300 working again?
Thanks
Now I can't even get into fastboot. It's stuck on the Asus boot screen and that's it. Even when I hold down the power button and the lower volume key it only loads the Asus screen and doesn't give me any other options. Did I just brick my tf300?

Is adb working? If so we can flash or push a file with that.
See my signature for a link to access the bootloader menu, that may help. Forget about trying apx as it is useless without nvflash previously installed.
Are you on the ICS or JB bootloader?
Going forward only use the standard wipes unless instructed otherwise. Cwm is a problem on this tablet and then you wiped your internal sdcard as well.

Mine just loads Asus screen and boots CWM - which is good. But CWM won't see my internal or external SD cards.....:crying:
So i cant install any ROM - not stock not CM.
Also my device is not turning off, just rebooting so i cant enter fastboot also......
Any ideas?
I recently flashed a new ROM and everything went well. 2-3 weeks later my phone died from lack of charge, I connected it. I turned it on and my start up screen begins but it just stays there...the phone doesn't turn on. I've let it charge completely, and it still will not turn all the way on.
Is there something I can try? How does one get into recovery or download mode with this phone?
Start your phone by pressing volume up and power button together. This will boot the phone into boot loader menu. Then use volume button to scroll down and select recovery. Press power button to boot into recovery.
You may try flashing a diff ROM and see if it boots.
Sent from my Nexus S
The ROM (a Hellybean version) is just not working...I reloaded it and I still get stuck at the startup screen. As this phone doesn't have an external SD card, how would one go about putting in another ROM?
Or simply, how do I go back to stock? Is there something like ODIN? Sorry the noob questions...I know my phone front and back (old Captivate) and I'm actually trying to fix this for my boyfriend. Thanks

Go into Recovery-> Mount and Storage -> Mount USB Storage, then you're Computer will recognize your phone, and will able to see your SD card, then put Rom in the Sd Card, unmount SD card from recovery, Go back, do a factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, choose zip from SD card and happy Flashing
It worked Thank you guys! :good:

I need to got to their website .... Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on to, "Downloads" once on the download page, you should see a few tabs on the right hand side. One is the 633Mb file that has everything you need to put your system together. The other tab is the actual PDF instructions on how to preform this these tsks. Can add, once you have downloaded and opened up those files, you will see another "manual inside" if i recall correctly, the manual is in English, after the Chinese .....
Hope this can help
I have a dead lenovo IdeaTab. It powers up and will hang at the Lenovo screen. The only way out of this is to use the reset button. I have tried to do a wipe/factory reset with no luck. When I tell it to reset to factory default, it hangs up with the android picture on the screen just stays there. Again with the reset button and it freezes on bootup at Lenovo screen.
I can hook it to my computer as a USB drive but is sees nothing. I am at a loss.
Any ideas how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.
PS I cannot even get to the settings menu to switch to dev mode ... I have Win XP as my operating system so if you give instructions to fix this thing keep that in mind.

Yes It hangs after recovery as well. Data wipe completes then I reboot ... goes straight back to Lenovo screen and stays there.
Up volume + power is recovery mode
Down Volume + power is test mode.
Wifi fails... everything else seems to test good.

Have you tried connecting the pc while in Recovery mode?
If you have go to Device Manager on your pc and look if it sees the device. If it does it will probarly see it as "unknown device"
If it sees it as Unkown Device,
Look for the Lenovo drivers for your phone. Install them.
Reconnect your device while in recovery. This time your tab should be recognised.
If it has install ADB. I recommend this: Minimal ADB&Fastboot
Launch this and type ADB devices. If it recognises your device. Well thats great. If not and your pc has recognised it. Then try messing in recovery. I had this same problem once with a old tablet which was from polaroid and didnt/barely gave any drivers at all.

Ok I have found the device and can read from it with ADB.exe I have downloaded source code in rar file and can extract. There is one primary file called Kernel with multiple files under that. How do I transfer that to the tablet or is there another method through ADB to restore to factory default.
Thanks so much for the help.

Not so fast
If you flash only the kernel you shall achieve nothing.(at least not in this case because you have another problem)
But before I continue. How did this happen?
And are you maybe using a costum or the standard recovery?

As it was described to me by my daughter ... A new game was downloaded and while playing that game or another game, it froze and would only reboot to the Lenovo screen and never get any further.
I have the download from lenovo. Apparently it is the full package but I am not sure exactly what to do with it.
