Heyaa!
That happened to me as well, I was so excited when I got my new S7 That I didn't realize I was using the Recovery for the "Qualcomm/Snapdragon 820" edition of the S7 when I had the Exynos Version. I also tried countless of times to reboot the phone but heres what you do.
Just force reboot the Phone to enter download mode, It took me alot of tries to get it working until after force rebooting the phone alot of times it eventually entered download mode. Once it entered download mode I wasted no time and I flashed the PROPER RECOVERY for my S7 Exynos.
Make sure you are using the correct TWRP Image, and did you have OEM Unlock checked in Developer Settings before installing recovery?
Please read THIS it's what helped me fix my device!
Kindly update me if something happens
Godspeed!

Thank you for the answer!
I have the phone beside me for 2 days straight an I try it multiple times but i cant get it into Download Mode. Is there any way to smhw force it into it without trying?
Beside that: I rooted it multiple months before and it worked like a dream... it just went black that day (it got charged in that moment, no input came in any way) and since then this problem occurs.
Ill keep trying!

If it happened all of a sudden, I've read some users from reddit brought it in to Samsung. If it won't get into download mode no matter what you do, I believe it might be an emmc failure. But hopefully its not

And for anyone who finds this thread cause he is search for a solution, go to Samsung.

Another bricked captivate thread

Alright, after spending hours upon hours researching multiple forums I can firmly say I'm stumped. As an FYI, I change ROM's frequently and have preformed these actions multiple times. So this isnt about me being a noob and doing something incorrect due to lack of knowledge (at least i hope not).
After multiple methods I can not find a single way to get into download mode.
Methods attempted:
1. cards and Battery out
waited up to 30 min with battery out,
battery in
hold volume buttons (tried to do this before the battery goes in as well)
usb plugged in (odin on in background of course)
I have gotten into download mode multiple times using this method, however, doing it now (and multiple variations, including holding only volume up or volume down, tapping power once and a bunch of random things people from various forums 'claim' to work) will result in only one thing; having the battery charging screen pop up and freeze on me. I know it is frozen as the progress timer is stuck at the 12:00 position and doesnt change, even if left there for an hour or two.
If the phone is allowed to power up normally (or i press the power button when trying to go into download mode) the phone will go to the standard ATT screen flash once then show up again and finally go into recovery mode. My research hasnt shown that i can do anything from recovery mode without having access to the internal SD.
upon further research, I came across only one other thread of e=people who had a similar problem, however the OP said he performed the download mode method mentioned above over and over and then it eventually worked. Which doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me, but nonetheless he said he got it within 40 times, I must have done this over 100 times now with the same frozen battery screen result.
I even tried ADB, which is something that was new to me. But after getting ADB to successfully work on the command line, it does not recognize that the phone is connected (my assumption is because in recovery mode, which is the only place i can be with the phone on besides the frozen screen, the internal SD isnt mounted for mass storage). So ADB didnt work either.
I am within my 30 day period, but of course, I would prefer to just fix this thing as opposed to going down to have 'the talk' about bricking my phone with ATT. Has anyone seen this issue? Anyone else have any ideas? Anything I can do from the recovery screen?
Thanks for your help
Adb should work in recovery mode.
Let me know 2 things: your batch #
What ROM you were using when it went out

PS don't tell att you modded your phone

Yea I had the same problem when i bricked my brothers captivate. I did all the 3 button method and i couldnt still go to download mode but i figured another way on how to get there =) thanks to me. But this method only works if your computer recognize your phone like if your stuck on atnt screen or galaxy s screen or even more if its all dark screen, but most importantly is that your computer recognize your phone and you have clockwork recovery. Here is the link of my post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842484
@fattire
1. Where do i locate the Batch #
2. It had just finished flashing into Cog 2.3b4. I had flashed to stock (like I normally do) before flashing to Cog. Looking at the screen, everything looked like it went fine and Cog was installed properly. After it finished it started restarting the phone, and this is where I am now.
P.S. Yeah, that goes without saying just so much of a hassle with the ATT people....
P.P.S. I didnt know if this was normal or not, but in recovery mode the computer can see the phone's drive but it (the phones drive) is not mounted so I can not access any of the files on it. From all that I have read ADB is working correctly and have confirmed it in the command line. I have the correct drivers ( and i know they are the right ones bc Ive done this before on the same computer with the same USB port). Odin also recognizes the phone and says it is connected but upon trying to flash to stock or anything else it just hangs, again my assumption is bc the internal SD is not mounted correctly...
@G1
Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately it appears the phone is not being mounted correctly on my comp to recognize it properly. So your method will not work.
But keep the ideas coming!! Anyone else?
There's a solderless procedure to go in download mode.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841512
@Silver
I attempted the procedure and it only resulted in the phone booting up to the att screen then going into recovery mode.
After this procedure, performing method 1 to get into download mode does not result in a stalled battery screen, it now goes into recovery mode. Maybe I fried something....
Oh well off to att tomorrow.....

If you can get to recovery mode then your fine well it depends if you have clockwork recovery. Clockwork have an option that will take you to download mode.

And as for download mode i cant go into it, and i mean i have tried like a kabillion times( sorry for fourth grade talk) and nothing ever happens it just boots into 3e recovery menu or it goes to that screen, neither of which i can do anything about. is there anyway for me to just reset everything or have windows recognize so i can use odin? any sort of mode that i could get into unless you guys can help me get into dl mode or recovery mode(besides the 3e)

It's kinda hard without know exactly what your friend was doing on the phone.
Have you read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069032? And tried the different methods suggested?
If you can boot into recovery you should be able to boot into download mode without any issues.
ODIN will only work if you are in download mode, also if you do the steps to get into download mode and you don't see download mode, but just like a backlit screen:
Open odin, and plug the phone in via USB, odin should still recognize the phone as being plugged in.

SM-S767lv (tracphone/Straight Talk) phone won't boot into download mode

I was attempting a network unlock on this device (not frp) as i actually own this phone. i managed to get the combination file flashed through odin and i obtained a network unlock code that worked just fine. i cannot get the device to boot into download mode for the life of me. i can get the device into recovery but not sure where to go from there. i've tried everything. i have the proper firmware downloaded but i can't flash it. odin picks up the device after it has booted into the combination binary. and upon selecting download mode or upload mode from within the UI it asks for a pin then does nothing. i tried straight talk and samsung technical support and they were absolutely no help. please help.
me too

I have been round and round with this device... I found that from recovery boot to bootloader takes it straight to download but not odin mode, phrase saying do not turn off target...wtf.. also at times, not always for some reason, holding ALL buttons to power up takes me in to dwnld mode... Im at the point I am willing to brick this unit just trying to get past frp.
this is running pie, im next goiung to attempt dwngrdng to 8.0 to try and bypass frp... It is my only available device and I am cvurrently without phone as apparently my moto e5 can not take stairs one at atime.. good luck.
remove sim...reboot to bootloader from recovery
sory, you prolly alreadt did this , im new here, just totally liking seeing someone elese hating the device atm... lol

S10e Literally stuck in bootloops after 2020 Update

So i updated my phone automatically yesterday from the latest update, after it was done, i haven't been able to access my phone in anyway, it keeps on looping samsung logo and a window that says "This phone's bootloader is unlockedĀ“and its software integrity can't be verified" and so on, ive tried to enter either Download mode and recovery mode, but none of the methods seems to have an affect on the phone at all, please help, thanks
Hmm if u have PC download Smart Switch and do Emergency Firmware recovery. That should fix it totally.

Same issue here. s10e stuck in boot loop (between samsung logo and warning about the bootloader being unlocked) after yesterday's update.
So far I had no success putting the phone into recovery or download mode.
The phone was rooted, then flashed with custom ROM, then flashed again with stock firmware. I kept the bootloader unlocked because I read it was risky to re-lock the bootloader.
So, is it now hopelessly bricked?

Thats a good question, far as i know, my phone is unable to get any form of connection to the pc, not able to start up in recovery or download mode either. What i know for sure, there is a way out, we just have to find the way
Never attempt to update if you have rooted and made any changes to the system, deleted or added system apps, modified kernel, changed boot logo, etc.

So, here's how I put the phone in download mode.
I left the battery to drain completely, then without pressing the power button, I pressed the volume down and Bixby button; and only then I plugged the cable. Without pressing the power button, the phone started straight into Download mode.
Now Odin sees the phone, I'm about to flash it with the stock firmware and see what happens.

Maybe this thread helps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10/help/galaxy-s10-bootloop-updte-to-android-10-t4023201
It's probably Samsung's vaultkeeper that caused the bootloop.

I just wanted to give an update of how I rescued my phone and kept all the information on the phone memory intact (this was one of the challenges, as I had some photos on it).
I put it in download mode by draining the battery, then tried to flash the updated firmware. It didn't work, leading once again to boot loop and all I could do was boot to the stock Android recovery - not helpful.
So I got it to download mode again and flashed the stock firmware it originally came with (prior to the update). In Odin, I put HOME_CSC in the CSC field, to keep the phone memory from being erased. This solved it.
Hope this info can help someone having the same issue.

Question HELP PHONE STUCK ON BOOTLOOP AT GOOGLE WRITING AND CANT GET DATA OUT

Hi all,
Im in a desperate and urgent need of help.
My Mrs pixel 7 pro is stuck in a boot loop that restarts 5 seconds after the google writing appears when starting. I wasn't home when it happened but she doesnt really make sure her phone has some battery before turning it on, as soon as she sees 2% she starts it, so im guessing maybe she bricked it while the phone was trying to apply an update when turning it on as she said that the external battery didnt have any juice left inside.
Anyway,
I know i can wipe the phone from recovery mode and make it into a factory reset phone. The issue here is we have over 6000 photos and videos of our son in that phone that she hasnt copied to the external hard drive i gave her for months due to her not liking that her little laptop is slow.
I tried recovery mode Reboot, i tried going into safe mode (no luck as it will go straight into fastboot mode). She doesnt care about a lot of things and obviously she never unlocked the developer setting or bootloader so device state is also locked.
I am begging you, anything any info or advice on how i can get those pictures out of the phone. Is there any way i can flash the stock firmware just to make the phone start and copy them after?
Any possibility or chance or retrieval?
I am willing to pay anyone that can guide me in the right direction as there are over 6 months worth of photos and memories.
Thanks in advance and may the luck be on my side.

If you can enter recovery mode try to sideload the same exact ota package of the rom she's running, maybe that can help. Good luck!

As @acuicultor said;
Here's Googles official OTA updates and instructions etc.
From what i've read briefly and as far as i can gather (still running a stock pixel 7 pro - for the first phone in god knows how long, so i'm not well read on this device but...) if you can sideload the latest OTA update via sideload then you should in theory be able to save the data and boot again. But if you flash full firmware then your device will be wiped in the process (if that's even possible with a locked bootloader).
Very best of luck
EDIT: hmm thinking about it, you won't have enabled USB debugging in dev options, hang on, i'll reboot direct to recovery to see if i can get the device recognised without USB debugging enabled. Sorry to be vague (hopefully someone more experienced with this device will chime in with more advice), like i say, i'm not rooted, flashed with custom rom - nothing, just plain old stock so i've not read up much on proceedures for this device. Bare with me!!
Had another thought, do you or have you been using Google photos to view your images on the device. If so, did you enable backup photos online when you first set the app up? If so, they could be backed up automatically...
Edit: my bad..
Try this link
If that fails just Google 'Google photos sign in'
Just tried from recovery to run some adb cmd's, no joy without enabling debugging 1st
There may be hope... If your photos aren't backed online already from above link...
EDIT:
1. From power off state (make sure the device is charged before apply any ota update) Press vol down and power together. As soon as it boots to google logo, let go of vol down, then power. That will put you in fastboot mode where you use the vol up/down to navigate to Recovery mode and power button to select.
2. Then when you have the screen that says 'no command', press power button and CLICK vol up (releasing vol up straight away but keeping power pressed). That'll take you a blue menu at top of screen.
3. Use vol buttons to navigate to 'apply update from adb'. I have checked using 'adb devices' and 'adb reboot sideload' cmd's on PC and the device is now recognised...
Will write further instructions shortly. (no guarantees this will work tho without losing data...or even if it'll work at all - i suspect the OTA update with just fail to transfer)
OR there is another option, using the same instructions above (1) in fastboot mode use the volume buttons to navigate the menu, power button to select Rescue mode. Then contact your service center for support who will advise/offer support - hopefully, which may end up having to send the device in and still offers no guarantee of preserved data

Following the link it's all explained there:
- no USB-Debugging needed
- booting recovery by key combo
- no loss of any data when using the OTA files
Also turning on USB-Debugging in developer options is not necessary for the recovery. It's enabled by default and moreover the recovery doesn't consider any system settings like disabled/enabled USB-Debugging.

FYI: Stock recovery only uses a minimal adbd with a very limited set of commands. That's why some known ADB commands won't work.
