Hi guys,
I'm a newbie on this forum but I read a lot. thanks ya'all down here, you're doing a great job.
My issue is that I'm trying to update my firmware and It is getting failed with remote 52 image chack fail.
I firstly try the fw 6.12.1540.4_DevEd_NoWipe_TWRP3001, same error
then fw 6.12.401.4_WWE_TWRP2870
before the fw flashing process, my OS version number in the bootloader was coloured red and has two numbers: OS-1.1.709.1 (2.33.401.5)
My phone spec is as follow
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.19.0.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.19.21331147A1.08G
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 1.10.709.1

(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: f0a5a6ee
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
finished. total time: 0.020s
after flashing the fw zips, the OS version line in my bootloader still coloured red ans has two version numbers
like this: OS- 1.10.709.1 (6.12.401.4)
I've also tried to flash an hboot zip and got into an error also and after rebooting My phone got stuck in RUUmode with 4 triangles in each corners. I run the cmd fastboot oem boot and the device boot up but I'm afraid that the issue of the 4 triangles will come up again once I will off the device on purpose, right?
Can I have your help to deal with those matters please?
I've found a solution for my issue. I've downloaded and flashed a stock hboot of the phone. now I can enter bootloader mode and my firmware was even updated.

Hello!
This is a little complicated. I have an XE and I wanted to upgrade from 2.3 (HBOOT 1.18). I tried to S-OFF first with revolutionary, but it didn't work (not even with tacoroot). Then I wanted to unlock the bootloader with the HTCDev method, I have the Unlock_code, uploaded it with fastboot and then selected yes. The phone reboots but it's still LOCKED. I repeated a few times, but no success.
I thought, OK the stock ROM by HTC is enough. I installed 4.0 with the newest RUU (HBOOT 1.29). This is where the bad things started. The installer worked well, but I couldn't start my phone anymore. It is stucked in bootloop. I tried to downgrade (with RUU and flashing zip with fastboot), no success.
So: S-ON, locked bootloader, bootloop... what could I do? Oh and when I plug in the USB cable, the phone turns on by itself.
Please help! Thank you!
from fastboot post the output from this command

I tried this many times with multiple versions. I can't downgrade and with v3.33 I have the described problem
i recently bought an htc one xl, worked fine, but was stuck on Android 4.2.2 and didn't receive any updates anymore.... long story short, its now stuck and i can't flash any ROM on it.
recovery works and fastboot does work too, the only problem it seems that the internal memory is corrupt.
when i try to install a ROM i receive the error message "unable to mount /system" .... and other directories. using ADB sideload doesn't change anything and the problem remains.
i tried flashing different recoveries but still the same problem.

Go here and read the all of the first post. Then download one of the two Marshmallow roms. Which one you download will depend on how you want to install it. They are the same except for the flashing process. For option one you want the exe version of Marshmallow. For option two, download the zip version and rename it to 0P6BIMG.zip (the first character in the name is a zero, not the letter o). Option 3, download the zip and follow Dottat's directions for using fastboot to flash it.
