Screen sensitivity has no relation with charging. Do u you have any other specific scenario rather than charging when it got happened ?

No, the touchscreen is less responsive when the phone is plugged in.There is no other scenario in which it happens.

Do you have a case on the device? Reason I say is that I am waiting for my case to arrive and I notice that the screen sometimes does not respond. When my wife complained about it also I noticed when watching her use the device her thumb on the hand that was holding the device was touching the edge of the front glass. She moved her thumb and responsiveness came back. This phone is super thin compared to my previous phone. Just an idea.
I notice that too and in my old phone as well. But only if I use a different charger with stronger power output. It won't respond to touch at some points.

I only had that problem with my legacy devices...lol. Sometimes a simple reboot while plugged in helps.
It happens on my old device too. This is caused by using third party charger. If u do so, please do not.
So far using honor 8 while charging using original charger is just fine. I even game on it sometimes. No touch screen issue.

No it won't. As we said tbis only happens with 3rd party chargers.

I suspect some months ago Huawei slowly started changing kernel for Kirin socs, changing fast charge behavior.

For Kirin SOC it's proprietary chargers but for Qualcomm any QC certified will do.
You have to use either H8 or M8 original fast chargers.
I'm using the original charger, but I have this problem only at certain moments in the day.Must be that honor 8, or the charger is sensitive to EM perturbations.

Might be the electric current causing it.

Have you tried to plugged in a protected against discharges socket? One of those fancy surge protected and stuff...
Do you have a case on the device? I had a similar issue while holding the device and accidentally touching the edge of the front glass with my holding hand and trying to tap. The screen will be unresponsive. A good rubber case fixed it for me. Just an idea.
It could be the case, but I'd definitely see does it work on a surge protected socket, ensuring the supply is constant.
I apologize in advance for necroing this thread.
I have an L04 honor 8 and i've just OTA updated to B360, everything working fine but i have this very problem. When charging the phone (genuine huawei fast charger) touchscreen doesn't respond as it should and scrolling is awful. As soon as I unplug the phone it gets back to normal.
Any ideas? It didn't have this beahaviour before upgrading.

Tale case off, take screen protector off, clean screen, try another power outlet, try hard reboot(hold power button until reboot).

I do not know whether others have this issue and noticed the touch becomes a little unresponsive to clicks when the tablet is charging.
Wanted to know is this something only with my tablet or does anyone face the same issue its just I need to press a little hard to click scrolling and all is fine
Same thing happens to mine

I noticed this on my Samsung Galaxy SII phone today. I figure it's that the capacitive screen is messed up somehow by the extra electromagnetic field of the charge coming down the wire or something. Maybe I have a "noisy" power supply. I might changing chargers tonight and see if that affects it at all, in case the charger is dodgy and creating some sort of line noise. Who knows.
If you hold the device firmly in your other hand (rather than, say, having it on a table) it seems to improve things a lot. After all, that's how capacitive works.

Yes it is how capactive work but it is Samsung's fault not to proper ground the screen , HTC products are well grounded and don't have this issues

Well I thought so I was worried that this was an issue with charger or something but until its normal issue I am ok with it
I've had this happen on my Samsung devices when using no-name chargers, never with the official charger though.

It happens with the stock charger too and yeah it is Samsung's fault. I was quite surprised when I first noticed it coz the difference in responsiveness is huge.
Juat a quick note , after changing the charger the problem is solved , the problem is in the grounding of the charger not with the note itself , but the fact is that most Samsung chargers are defective , 3 out of 4 chargers that I have have this problem

last night, my phone was overheating. and then i'm trying to cool it down by putting it in front of a fan. when i use my phone, my scrolling is error. it stops when my thumb/fingers is not touching ( do you get it ? :silly: ) . on a normal phone, the screen keeps scrolling even if my finger/thumbs not touching and slow down until stops. but not with my phone. it just stops without slowing down...
can anyone help me ? :fingers-crossed:
sorry for my bad english
Try restarting??
And JB has higher inertia while scrolling. That means if you scroll lightly, it will stop very fast, unlike Gingerbread 2.3.x.
Also, a possible cause might be that you were charging. XL has a slightly aberrant scrolling response while charging, most likely due to the interference caused by the charging battery.
Yes. It worked

Hi!
I noticed this problem with mine too. I was charging my phone and using it on Facebook. Scrolling worked fine but when mi finger was on the screen (just touching the screen, no scrolling), the image went up and down. It looked like the screen didn't know what to do.
But I was not using the charger given in the box, I was using an older one given with my Xperia Mini Pro from 2011.
When I use the charger given in the box, there is no problem.
I've seen this problem on X10 Mini Pro too.

I don't know where it comes from, sorry.
as far as I know, it happens with all chargers. But maybe it just escapes attention sometimes? The charging battery affects the capacitive touchscreen response.

When I saw this "problem" I let the phone charging with my "older" charger. But when it was finished, I tried it with the new one. I went on every application that need to scroll but all was right.
It may be something with electricity quality, like speakers which have interference... (That's just an idea)
yeah. It happens only sometimes. I suspect when the phone draws considerable charge from battery, and the battery from the charger, resulting in higher electromagnetic interference.

You're probably right.
So when I plug my N5 into charge, the screen starts recognizing "ghost" touches and does its own thing. Like when its charging its distorting the electric captive touch... Anybody else having the issue?

I am. I'm suffering it with my Nexus 10 as well as my Nexus 5, in my N10 the problem is much worse.
Same here, although for me its more often for my screen refusing to record my touch than recording ghost touches.
This is the case for Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 I had previously.
BTW, you can use an app like this to help testing the issue.
If you aren't using the charger that came with the phone this will happen.

In my case this happens with the official chargers, both for the N5 and N10 :crying:
I have the same problem here.
I already had this problem with my Nexus S. Using always the charger received with the phone.
I've noticed that sometimes is more annoying than others. It doesn't depend on the charge level, if you are charging by PC or how many apps are opened.
I think it's a temperature related problem, and it is happening when you are using the phone "a lot" while charging. But I'm not sure about that.
Anyone has more information about this?
P.D.: Now I noticed that I was experiencing this problem. My charge level was 96%. When it reached 100% this problem faded away.
hey hey hey fellas....atlast found something which satisfies everyone regarding ghost touch....the latest qualcomm has made severe changes inside turbo powered charger which couldn't able to stabilize the input voltage fluctuations. and that is why we all expirence ghost touch... i even checked my socket with Multimeter...hell yeah that was true....
atlast ive plugged stock moto turbo charger to the stabilizer, believe it or not i played nova 3 for exactly 44 mins beside charge was on !
so this caused ghost touch !
hope you guys understood
trust me....
sweet thing abt moto g4 plus is...it never ever lags though it heats up a bit ! and can handle heavy games like nova3 like charm
have a try... connect it to a stabilizer

what stabilizer? can you elaborate. is that something we can purchase from Amazon?
stablizer, one we use for fridge and tv...
they give stable current to all electrical devices !
when i connected my charger to it, i had no problem...to be frank my charging temp was 41deg(charged from 0-100, took 75mins to charge, pretty low temp and took less time to charge even)
jus search for stablizer in amazon ! btw ever home mostly they'll be using it, else u cud buy one actually very useful one
Stabilizer? Isn't the same as a no break? Cuz I have one for my PC and is were I also connect the turbo charger and still have the ghost touch issue time to time... :/ Or is it a difference between the stabilizer and a no break?

Stabilizer is the small one and no break or ups system is the big black box.

Lol it's small but not that small hehehe
In India in many parts of the country the electricity supply voltage fluctuate so to prevent electronic items from getting fried by that fluctuation we use stabilizers and ups or no break are used mainly for desktops which provide some extra time to close the system when lights go off.
Some ups comes I integrated with stabilizer some doesn't you have to check with the supplier of yours is having a stabilizer or not.

I have the same problem of the ghost touch and the solution I found was to disable the Motorola Active Display so that it does not make strong changes in the brightness of the screen.
I realized that if you make sudden changes in the brightness level, the effect of the phantom touch starts, for example if you have the brightness in half and change it very suddenly to maximum the effect takes place, if you want to make the change of Shine must be done gradually

Passthrough charging power bank!
Instead of stabilizer, I will test with power bank with quick charge 2.0 that can charge the power bank while it loads the G4 Plus. (Passthrough charging)

Not necessarily. My son's G4 had the same problem. Ghost touch when on charger and later on some issues when off the charger. We did RMA and received the phone back after a week. No more issues even at high CPU loads using the same charger.

Thanks, I'll look into it!
Hope you find it to be what you were looking for; I can only assume you wanted light to do the job, rather than sonication or something.
Only downside, is despite it having a USB-C and type A on the device itself, it maxed at 2.1A power, but you can always warp your cable through. Oh, and making sure the screen is off may help it not overheat from being brightly hot boxed.

Will definitely keep the screen off, most likely will keep the phone off anyway will cleaning. Should take all but 10 mins or so

All you have to do is buy eyeglass wipes(premoist). They have alcohol. Wipe phone down and done
