If you're rooted you can use System App Remover. It just works reliable and you can test first to freeze the apps you want just to see if it messes with system stability. If it does you can undo and if it doesn't, you can permanently uninstall.
System app remover works well
It's almost impossible to delete an important module or app as they're classified and can be undelete from recycle bin.
Do not remove apps you don't know the purpose of. If you can find the app in Play Store, most probably it is safe to remove.

For now, a different home launcher is the only remedy.

Native weather app can be removed. It's not found in play store.
Dialer, contacts and some others cannot, even if replaced by others.

Yes. That's why I said most probably.

Even so with some modding, patient, time and risk all apps could be replaced.
Some Modaco custom ROMs have stock Huawei apps replaced with Google's to provide vanilla-ish experience.

There is nothing special with modaco roms, just bloatware less optimised stock rom

"Preloaded Widget" by MartinWei.
If it got my hometown right as my current location I wouldn't be look looking to disable it later tonight. It just scrapes AccuWeather for all is info anyway.

I do transparent clock and weather as it seems light, complete and good looking.
As a dumb American I appreciate that it gives the options of either Celsius and Fahrenheit temps, but the same option for km/h and mph wind speeds would be nice to have as well. Plus we use coal not wind power, so a plume of black smoke that moves at different speeds would be a better icon/animation than wind turbines.

This would be perfect for tablet, since you dont need a dock for the phone and such. How did you get it onto your tablet (I am assuming that you did).
Running it now. Though I might recommend to add a feature for removing all bottom buttons

I designed SickSky for phones and not for tablets. The problem is if I allow it as compatible with tablets on Play, then a lot of people would not be happy with how it runs on a tablet (ie no landscape, no tablet-specific layouts etc). Anyhow it is still in beta for now.
Unfortunately the Play Store says it's incompatible with the HD2.
Says its incompatible with my Galaxy Nexus also.

It was like you just disappeared, and other than some scant tweets from your feed, felt like it's been forever.
On-topic: I take it unless otherwise, do you plan to include the ability to create additional homescreens, or is SickSky just a "single screen" deal?

From what I remember Slimbean has a non-standard DPI by default, so you will most likely get compatibility issues with a few apps on Google Play. I have however had quite a few reviews from Galaxy Nexus owners.

Not ignoring, didn't have an answer. Not sure why it isn't compatible on market. I don't have a ton of free time for SickSky.

It has been a good couple years. For now I am going to focus on building panels to suite most needs. Next up will probably be a shortcuts panel. Not impossible to add widget panels later on, but going to stay clear from that for now since I wouldn't use that myself.

That's cool. When I saw that development ceased on Zeam's Google Play page, I downloaded ADW EX Launcher (I still hold the Zeam apk files). The one feature that these two have that no one else seems to include were the ability to hold a good number of apps in their dock drawers.

Please see attached images from my Huawei 5Mp camera (resized for upload to XDA) ... firstly stock Camera app v2.0.002, then secondly Lenovo SnapIt v3.5.6. Both images are 2592x1944px but original stock Camera photo is 850Kb whereas original SnapIt photo is 2.18Mb. For all the difference I can (not) see, I think I'll just stick with the stock Camera app (its a lot less confusing
Look at the center building and you can see the different. Snapit Look better.
They look the same to me too.

Yes I have. I removed the stock system clock, installed timely, and it works flawlessly. Looks better too. Inside gravity box I told it to launch timely when I hit the clock in the dropdown menu. It comes with a widget which I use on my lockscreen.

Of course except when we test apps.
I don't like Google Photos nor do I use it. But I have to use it as a gallery with its crappy sorting.
So I was wondering if an AOSP gallery was a thing anymore? If so where can I get it?
Everytime I ask for a gallery people talk about QuickPic which is owned by Cheetah Mobile which is known for stealing people's information so there's no way anything of theirs is getting on my phone. I'd rather have something official by Google or by a trusted developer.
Thanks

You're right - split screen doesn't work with Nova launcher but, for me, that doesn't matter. Overall, until ColorOS progresses quite a bit further, I'd say the gains far exceed the losses.
Nope it doesn't work, it just forced back to default
