Ever since I installed the AT&T leaked test ROM, my Fuze beeps twice when connecting on calls (right before the phone vibrates on connection). It only happens on outgoing calls that I make. I installed the new official AT&T ROM and it still beeps.
I've searched out there and found that some people had this problem with the HTC Wing. Alas, that registry fix does not work on my Fuze (cannot find the same key that they reference). I know other people are having this same issue (I've seen comments) but no one seems to have a solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
lol i wouldn't call it an issue , id mess with advanced config , im sure i saw something to do with the vibrating function there so maybe theres a beeping one too.

it's seriously the most annoying beeping sound I've ever heard on a phone...and it's loud! I seriously want my phone to stop doing this - so annoying.
Solution
So an update to my issue and how it was resolved.
At some point earlier this year I received a text message from an international phone number that I did not recognize (either Canada or Mexico I can't remember). There was no body to the text message, just blank delivered to my phone. I think this happened in late January or February. It was at this time, or shortly thereafter, that my phone starting "beeping" upon connecting phone calls. At the time, I had been trying different ROMs on my phone and believed it to be a ROM issue but it never went away, even with the new updated official ROM.
Fast forward to last week. I was looking over my detailed phone bill online and I noticed a line item called "OFFRCHSTDCMROAM" for which I was being charge $4.99 per month. I went back and looked through my billing history to see how far back this went and it first appeared on my bill in February. I called AT&T customer service to have the charge removed and my account credited for the past few months. They were more than willing to do this as neither they nor I had any idea what this charge was for.
Immediately after I get off the call with them I made a phone call and...no beep! Whatever that service was, it was the culprit in causing my phone to beep whenever it connected on outgoing phone calls. Now that's gone so is the beeping. So, if anyone else has this beeping problem they should check their detailed bill for this mysterious charge.
At 6:09am [EST] this morning (5/16), I received a call from a colleague of mine who indicated that my phone had called him 4 times at different intervals (12:26am,2:09am, 5:28am, 5:29am). When I saw his incoming call, I was like why's he calling me this early in the morning? I told him that I didn't call him and that I was still sleeping. Has anyone experienced this with their windows phone?
I did looked on my phone after getting off the phone with Marcelo at 6:09am and I noticed that my phone also called someone else [Jillian K] at 1:04am.
The last time I called [Jillian K.] was 5/15 - 3:06pm and after that, I made 3 more calls to 2 other people yesterday. However, I have not called Marcelo at all in some time.Other than Marcelo being among the 10 recipients that I texted regarding a game schedule early yesterday [5/15] around 11am.
Has anyone experience this? Thanks for your input.
I have attached a picture of the outgoing calls (w/the 1 incoming call from Marcelo)
Maybe you are sleepwalking
OT: no never had that
Yeah, I only know of drunk people that call at all hours of the night.
However, unrelated, I've had a similar problem, where my HD7 is screen locked in my pocket, I'll receive and miss a call, which unlocks the screen, and then the phone goes crasy bumping against my leg. Last time I had 3 outgoing calls before I heard the phone about to leave a voice mail.
Worst part was I had the phone on the coffee table the whole night.. unless there's a ghost in my apartment. I did noticed few things today -- I had IE tabs on the phone (3-4) that I didn't open. Later this noon, I received an email from Bank of Ameri. that someone tried to access my account online and was unsuccessful. Did logged in to check and to change my pwd.
The last app I bought was gMsg and I used it briefly to message my soccer group about game time. so may be the app is misbehaving?
I'll observe again tonite..
Have you developer unlocked your phone? What OS Version are you running? Have you ever flashed a ROM? Edit: On a related note, are you the first owner?
Figure it out?
which web sites were opened?

weird. Your proximity sensor should have prevented this.
Nothing? I was really curious about this lol.
Do you have any "weird" apps installed that might be causing this ?
Either that or you got a bugged phone dude.

Someone been using your phone: there's no doubt left in my mind.
I posted this thread 5/16 and since then several things have happened. For those asking about version, unlocked n etc. I'll answer all in one swoop.
First my Hd7 is dev unlocked but only apps like walkman7, tvshow7, wifi shorcuts, and etc. Haven't even used those in a while.
software version: nodo (as of today - decided to wait for final Mango)
I've no kids or wifey. Girlfriend was away on company business that week unless she suddenly acquired supernatural powers to control my phone from where she was.
Since i reported this, i've sent my phone in for volume button wiggling issue, so my device has been software reset (factory). Haven't seen it since. Also, at the time when I reported this, at least for 2 months, my phone just randomly reboot itself. I haven't had that happen since getting my phone back from HTC for the volume button fix and re-config of my phone from factory reset.
All I know is a factory reset seem to have fixed it for me. Keep in mind that after the fact. reset, I still went back to dev unlock my phone again and it has been great since. YMMV.
A few days ago I discovered that people I talk to over the phone can't hear me, whether they call me or I call them, while I can hear them perfectly.
My voice if very muffled, impossible to comprehend, sometime it cuts out completely and there's also a persistent "static" noise in the background, kind of like wind blowing. I can usually make myself heard only if I raise my voice by a lot, close to yelling actually.
I tested the microphone via the service menu AND the Xperia Diagnostics app and I'm even more puzzled. Initially I'd say that about 70-80% of the time I had to raise my voice a lot so that the recorder can pick up anything and the results I got were essentially what the people I talked to reported. I looked up the issue on various forums, fiddled with the settings, disabled xLoud, noise suppression, took the SIM out and put it back in, did a repair via the PC Companion AND a factory reset later on and nothing seems to consistently work. Sometimes they can hear me, sometimes they can't. Testing results are also much better now and I'm able to clearly hear my voice most of the time, but when actually calling someone, even when they say they hear me clearly they can still hear that annoying static. I now have noise suppression turned off, since that seems to help.
To my knowledge, this started to happen after the 4.2.2 update, a very buggy update. I also had a problem with headphones (two pairs in otherwise working order) not being recognised, even though both were initially working well with the phone. Eventually I had to repair the phone twice for that (the first time it didn't fix anything) just to get the phones working again. It's after that that I noticed this mic problem.
I also found this thread and I wonder if that lil' piece of rubber can be the problem. Apparently those are Ions, but I'm thinking maybe there's enough internal commonality between that and the XL that I could actually have the same problem.
Other than that, what would you advise? Try to go back to 4.1.2?
Service is my last option due to time and distance concerns. Thanks!

Well since you said that this started happening after you've updated to 4.2.2 you have 2 options
1. Reflash the 4.2.2 update
2. Downgrade to 4.1.2
I hope that helps

Unfortunately, I can't be sure if it's due to 4.2.2 or just a coincidence, since it didn't start immediately after the update. Like I said, that thread about the Ion mic problem got me thinking that maybe this is what happened, in which case it's only a coincidence that I also updated to 4.2.2 a couple of days prior.
"Reflash the 4.2.2 update" - is this different from repairing it via the PC Companion? Like I said, I already did that and a factory reset later on and it didn't help with this.
In any case, thanks for your help! :good:

You can either use as you said repairing via PCC or just flash FTF.
Hey there,
So i have an S4 which has been rooted since the day i bought it, out of the blue two days ago, my phone stopped being able to make calls and receive calls. good news is i can text completely fine, and use the data for internet or apps, but the calling just stopped. When i dial someones number, it acts like its going thru, but there is no ringing on my end, and when they answer neither person can hear the other one... if someone tries to call me, and i click to answer the call, they will hear a long buzzing noise but not if i try to call them.
Now i recently factory reset my phone, and the calling came back and worked perfect for a whole 10 minutes... and then went back to the same crap of hearing nothing. I have done everything i can think of, this just came out of no where. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated, just need to figure this out. Please help!!!

Hi All Friends / Technical Guys in XDA forum,
I'm facing serious issues in my Xperia Z3 mobile phone. Before one month I've purchased Xperia Z3 phone from online market. After i received the item i noticed phone doesn't work NFC function. After two days i noticed GPS also not working as well. And Battery drain in stand by mode. Now day before yesterday phone calls also not working. It means my voice doesn't hear to other party. And when i listen to music using headphones. I can hear really loud cracking noise through the both headphone speakers. Also I've changed couple of my headphones, every headphone has same issue. And WIFI really slow. I've checked WIFI from couple of wifi routers.
Issues List
NFC not working
GPS not working
WIFI slow
Huge battery drain
Can't hear my voice to other party during calls
Really huge cracking noice in headphones
Solutions that i have tried
Factory reset the phone
Flash the OS using Sony FlahTool (androxyde)
Change Marshmallows (Current OS) to Lollipop and KitKat
For WIFI I've tested using multiple routers and changed the channels in router
And checked using Speed Test, Speed test got 50+Mbps but surfing speed is daim slow
For headphones issue checked using couple of headphones
For GPS checked using GPS test, did not connect to any satellite
For calls issue tested voice test using Sony diagnostics not recording my voice
From the above solutions none of them are worked.
So guys i need to know why this happen? And what is this fault? Is it because of the defect mainbored? or other issue?
Please if you guys can tell me what is the exact issue from this details. i can replace the part if it is hardware issue.
unlock bootloader and etc
the best thing u can do unlock bootloader then flash a custom kernel and flash custom rom then wait and see it resolved or not
@John8Metallo8Corben Thanks for the reply. Actually this phone is prototype. If you can may i know what you mean by unlock bootloader? it means root the phone? And may i know about good custom roms for the Xperia Z3.
Not sure if prototype phone get software update, so maybe revert back to original firmware can help?
From xperiafirm find the oldest firmware (store or journalist firmware) and flash while wiping everything in flaahtool.
Really thanks for your reply mate. @gm007 I've checked whether it has any software update for the prototype phones, But unfortunately i haven't found it in google. And i revert back to two OSs (KitKat and Lollipop). I thought it will work but not good result. Same issues have after revert back. But after some researched i found one solution for two issues. One is about proximity sensor, other one is can't hear my voice to other party. Those issues will okay when i press the top speaker area and bottom mic area , When i lose it, again have issue. Now i will give this phone to mobile repair shop. But please let me know if you get any answer for these issues. Thanks again for your reply
Disassemble your phone and clean all the connections and contacts, maybe ur phone has swim in water.
