EDIT: I recommend to update to LOS14.1 built by Cozzmy13 since May 2017, seem stable without any major issues besides video recording freezing at 30s mark, so can't really record anything longer than 30s FIXED, pretty much everything else works fine. You should be able to do dirty update, but just in case always make backup. Don't forget to download ARM64 SuAddon for superuser and flash opengapps pico ARM64 7.1. Continue in this thread:

short review
boot is faster than Hikari No Tenshi, default theme seem to be a bit darker than HnT at least in quick tiles, Last app through Menu button works fine, no wifi 5/2.4ghz switch (as in other CM14 builds), switching from full brightness in camera to previous brightness elsewhere seem to work OK, default vibration has normal intensity, not as strong as in HnT
new (untested) - lift to wake, power on sounds option, extra settings edge double tap (was in HnT build too actually), force allow apps on external, force activities to be resizeable

no problem with Google keyboard through Opengapps
fingerprint setup notification on top of settings for Mi4c (which lacks FPS) was also in penultimate build by Hikari no tenshi but you can just swipe it away and ignore, very minor annoyance
blank default SIM for mobile data even when using only 1 SIM was also in all previous HnT builds, I dont really consider it bug, just go to SIM settings and select it first time and it's fine, it's minor annoyance at first install
can't verify pebble and google app
double tap on power button for camera works fine, double twist doesn't work (or i don't understand how to do it properly, tried many ways, none of them work)
RAM was 1.2GB for me, don't care about Antutu, I would prefer actually Efficiency mode for longer battery life, will play with kernel adiutor i guess
default DPI is 440 btw.
very smooth on my Mi4S, no problems with keyboard. I think there should be a pack of gapps from opengapps that works correctly, includes Google App.

Νο... this is a common problem with mi4c nougat roms ... i will try it again. Also this rom doesnt have CM theme engine.

select it manually in SIM cards settings, it's mentioned in OP, if still having problems remove all APN and add appropriate one for your carrier
I can confirm some bug founded by @BlackXhorneT,
And I'm found another bug (maybe only me),
-Calendar app force closes,
-And in setting > display, I can to turn on everything like ambient display etc, and after closing setting app (by pressing back button), and retry open display setting, some options come back to off again by itself. But ambient display etc still work.
Another bug. When you make a system profile and you go to select to changepreferred network type it says cyanogenmod settings stop and it goes back to the settings menu.....
Very important(for me) to have a profile for home for the road for the car etc......

yes, it's system bug, i reproduced it, actually quite a lot settings crash, not even worth reporting
as for Google calendar, i use business calendar which works fine

The point of the topic:
Post your issues found in STOCK / CM11 or post a solution.Simple as that,very productive.
I'll start with a list of bugs:
CM11 ISSUES:
-Video recording lags in reduced luminosity.
-The phone heats too much when playing/watch videos for long time and so on.
-Volume during call is too low.
-Ocasionally freezes & crashes.
-Some graphical issues when the phone freezes.
-Wifi MAC Address is always 00:0a:f5:89:89:ff.
If there are 2 Xperia L using CM11 / Custom Kernel connected to the same wifi, both connections will be dropped.
STOCK ISSUES:
-Video blinks in low light(from what I've read it focuses wrong on the light source and starts blinking).
-The proximity sensor remains on after a missed call.
-Multi touch doesn't work as well as on CM11.
-Some weird freezes during call ( the screen remains off / freezes and you can't end the call / sometimes even answer )
-Camera doesn't have as much detail as in CM11 ( if you zoom in,the image doesn't clarify).
-Wifi MAC Address is always 00:0a:f5:89:89:ff.
If there are 2 Xperia L using CM11 / Custom Kernel connected to the same wifi, both connections will be dropped.
CM11 FIXES:
-Lag in video recording can be reduced by lowering the exposure.In medium to low light " - 1 " works pretty good and in very low to low light " - 2 " .However,when you use " - 2 " ,the recorded video will be very dark.Still haven't found a solution for this.
-About heating problem,you might want to try @Shivam Kuchhal 's kernel.He reported that his phone doesn't get heat up more than normal.
-About volume during call,it's been solved partially in newer releases by editing snd_soc_msm file.However,if the value is too high,the phne volume will also be too high and the speaker will produce distorsioned sound.However,I see they found a resonable value and both,the volume during call & speaker is about fine.
-For headset buttons not working,you must edit Generic.kl file.Here's a short tutorial to help you:
Go to: system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl and change as below

STOCK FIXES:

Proximity fix not working!!!
More Kitkat Bugs List:-
1. Headset buttons
2. Camera experiencing crashes randomly, sometimes cause overexposure and being unstable at flash mode
3. Black graphical glitch/scanning effect first time after you turn your screen off then on again after first restart/turning on phone.
4. Call bugs(e.g. distortion etc.)

6. battery draining faster then on stock rom. (was improved on early nightly releases....now its back again)
7. GPS not working again (for some it does...others it doesnt....again...wasnt there on first nightlies)(Mostly Happens In CM11)

10. Some apps are unsupported on playstore...
CM11 bugs
CM11:
1. Switch to HDR mode and within 3 snaps camera app will FC.
2. Headset buttons.. I have to manually edit that Generic.kl after every nightly update.
3. As mentioned above, graphical glitch after updates.
Some of bugs that u mentioned @David pro has been fixed by users, but device maintainer didn't merged it for some reason in official builds. So, get started:
1. These buttons can be fixed, someone(I don't remember who, Sorry) has created a modified Generic.kl. You can find that file somewhere on this forum.
2. Camera quality is medium, but videos are very poor..
3. Still exist

5. As I said, videos are bad
6. Caused by Google Play Services, 1st method is use xposed Framework and one of its add-ons, 2nd is just disable Services from Settings>Apps(i'm using second one, because I just don't like Xposed)

10.Well, some of them are only for one platform or type of devices,eg. Tegra 4 games.
No heating issues noticed so far(I use my kernel obviously) and yeah the camera and video quality isn't anything worth praising. Also the hwcomposer issue happens only one time after every boot, after that its all fine.
I normally use AOSPA.
Actually,I think the cm11 camera takes better photos than stock,but it can be buggy sometimes :silly:
About GPS,it's working fine for me too.
About video camera being laggy...I think it's because our phone lacks drivers update.It's hard to believe the video camera will ever be 100% fixed.

Haven't experienced those kind of issues when I used stock.Try to do a factory reset or flash the ftf again.Maybe you added some mods or apps which affected the system.
Overall,we have to admit that CM11 is blazing fast and that's why I'm still using it.I'll update the OP now with your solutions.Thanks guys and keep helping eachother.

another BUG with the stock ROM
1)walkman app flickers in the widget lockscreen
2)poor memory management need to restart the phone daily else the phone lags like a hell
3)camera app didn't respond ,it doesn't even the focus sometimes ,clearing the app data solves this problem temporarily and i think it was not present with the .12 update ,so if anybody could extract the camera app from the .12 update similar to the phone app freeze issue the problem might be solved.
3)walkman app or any other music player makes music to stutter when the same song is played more than one time provided if the songs are stored in memory card also i know that my sdcard doesn't have any problem because it worked fine with galaxy s3.my sd card is sandisk ultra class 10 32 gb
4)battery drain heavy when wifi is switched on compared to previous android 4.1.2
note:i have not rooted my phone or modded my firmware .all i run is the apps taken from the playstore.i have done a factory reset for more than 4 times.

guys please try to solve the issues with stock ROM because they are the stable ones and the bugs are easily repairable if the bugs are reached to right hands.so pls first concentrate on stock ROM
I've been playing around with 4.4 video recording..what i think is the lags occurs when we record in low lights related with the kernel..i'm testing with snapcam as its has auto flash when recording in low lights..First result is same as stock..but in snapcam it has touch to focus when recording..after touch,the recording will get a bit darker when it refocus and walla..no lags..
What i found is, the camera will automatically reduced the exposure to -1 for avoiding the lags even it is on default setting..
When moving the camera in low lights,the recording will lags again after few second..that is with continuous focus..set to normal or auto..no lags..so our stock cam using continuous focus for recording..
Back to the kernel thing..from what i see from the recording is same like this when i'm playing with cnt rom to to get wifi and overclock working.
Ok,so I went back to stock.I'm amazed by the battery life,it lasted 2 days and I used the phone a lot ( especially for calls ).
However,after using the fix for freezes during call and so on,I still have experienced this morning an issue.While I was talking to someone,someone else called and the phone was beeping but the screen was frozen.I had to press the power button to lock the device then unlock it to get the screen to show who's calling and to give me the possibility to answer the call.What do you think I should do?For now I'll wipe phone app data,but I'm also waiting if someone knows a good,another solution to post.

Notes and Updates
NOTE
I have been running this build for two days now and so far , meh it's alright.
Audio [mic] and Camera issues are definitely annoying.
SELinux is COMPLETELY disabled on this build. If You want security go back to stock.
SELinux enforcing is the goal though.
I strongly recommend using a "traditional" root os SuperSU over systemless-root.
Reasons:
Opengapps requires a factory-reset or fresh install to set up correctly!
Privacy Guard based root sucks. It forgets alot of permissions granted.
Use BETA-SuperSU-v2.52 , I wil attach below as it seems hard to find by conventional means.

Apart from that, some of my observations during a small period of usage :

Screen brightness doesn't reach full capacity
Speaker volume is low I think
For me, I felt the display had some slight glitches. Enabled GPU rendering in developer settings and felt it got better , can't guarantee on this though
Had to revert to stock based since sim functionality for me wasn't available ( I have a dual sim phone)

The build i just tested out had full WOW, HOW THE HELL DO I TURN THIS DOWN BRIGHTNESS. :silly:
So either atm i get crappy brightness as max level which is like 75% of stock.
Or i get the nice stock brightness but the slider breaks/doesn't work.
The speaker volume is limited to where it actually should be. Use a mediaplayer that has an option for software decoding, that is a 100% [double] boost. It's not the idea to bomb out the speakers by default, each user can find their own tweak.

On the "daily build" thing, my upload time is horrible, so i will not be pushing out excessive/pointless builds. when i have something else fixed, then i will upload another build. Currently i'm boxing with the brightness issue and getting the mic working for audio recording.

I didn't notice any glitches display-wise, do you actually mean lag in some screen transitions?
I only tested with radioball and raging thunder.
The build i just tested out had full WOW, HOW THE HELL DO I TURN THIS DOWN BRIGHTNESS. :silly:
So either atm i get crappy brightness as max level which is like 75% of stock.
Or i get the nice stock brightness but the slider breaks/doesn't work.
The speaker volume is limited to where it actually should be. Use a mediaplayer that has an option for software decoding, that is a 100% [double] boost. It's not the idea to bomb out the speakers by default, each user can find their own tweak.

On the "daily build" thing, my upload time is horrible, so i will not be pushing out excessive/pointless builds. when i have something else fixed, then i will upload another build. Currently i'm boxing with the brightness issue and getting the mic working for audio recording.

Might be just my sleepy eyes too, lol. And in the beginning, everything was feeling laggy, till I enabled those GPU options in the developer settings and turned the screen off and turned it back on.
Don't rely on this data though, I hope someone else verifies this thing before you take it up as an issue .

There was lag in the beginning, no doubt. Lag was there since the boot animation itself.
Yes! Screen tearing is the term i was searching for. I felt like I saw minor issues of screen tearing along with the lag. ( especially when I scrolled down the settings )

Normally, if I'd flash a stock based ROM which was meant for single sim, one sim would work in the dual sim models but the memory card would be not detected . sadly, that wasn't the case with cm though. Not even a single sim gets detected.

you tried enabling only single SIM mode in Sony's (or other) "Stock" ROM and then flashing this ROM ?
Then at least one SIM might work - unless of course the Z5 devices handle things entirely differently

Um, actually, was running rom aur and then had disabled one sim ( just because i didnt want to use that sim) and then had flashed this.
Unfortunately, not even a single sim worked in this.

Been trying this out since yesterday. Nice ROM, very smooth. Its great to see an AOSP rom with 90% of functionality. Battery usage is on par with stock.
One bug that I noticed is that if bluetooth is on (regardless of whether it is connected or not), it'll keep a 'bluesleep' wakelock which preents the device from going into Deep sleep.
Edit: Another note on the deep sleep problem. Even after turning bluetooth off, the phone doesn't deep sleep. Other wakelocks (event3, event4, event6) show as keeping the phone awake. Reboot fixes it and the phone can finally deep sleep.

Fantastic rom! Finally got rid of all the crap Sony bloatware.
However two questions. The camera on the back can now only shoot 8MP photo's. I've disbled the 8MP option in the setting, but it still won't let me shoot 23MP photo's. Is there a way to fix this?
Also the fingerprint scanner doesn't seem to function. When trying to add a fingerprint, it immediately fails (registration cannot be completed). Any fix?

about the camera,you need to wipe camera data after toggling 23MP mode. You'll then see the 23MP resolution in settings.
about the fingerprints, thanks for the hint. This is a bug. Sometimes it works though, so you might get lucky if you try a lot.
also, it's cool to know people are using this rom lol
if you're interested, I can post custom HOMEMADE builds that contain some bugfixes.

ok cool. I'll post an updated HOMEMADE build.
Main bugfixes are:
1. camera doesn't randomly crash at start anymore.
2. bluetooth doesn't cause device to stay awake
3. bluetooth and fm can be used without rebooting the device inbetween (not concurrently though, using bluetooth when fm is on will disable fm for example)

Official updates for omni 6.0 only come in form of security updates, i.e when Google uploads a new revision. That's why i can't update official that simply. Although to be honest I haven't asked if there are exceptions
I've flashed the rom today and it is working very well. The fingerprint scanner now works fine, even from the settings.

I flashed the Homemade version yesterday. I too am able to add fingers after initial setup in the settings. I tried to delete a finger in order to retry but the OS shuts down and reboots.
I believe I found a bug. Homemade version.
While listening to Audio, the whole phone locks up after what seems to be random times. I've listened to audio for a few minutes then it locks. I've listened up to around 45 minutes then locks up. Never more than an hour. If it helps, I've had this occur with Google Play Music, Poweramp, and Pocket Casts apps.
To resolve this, I have to hold power and volume up (Force shut down?)

yeah so it's still buggy I guess. I don't think i'll be able to fix that though, sadly. However, I can confirm that the issue doesn't appear on android nougat.

hmmmm, yes you are right. I was able to reproduce that. I think I know why that happens. I used another fix for mp3 playback. The solution that's used in OFFICIAL is different from HOMEMADE.
well, the good news is that android nougat requires neither lol.

Today I've tried to add some more fingerprints. But now it fails.
I skipped the fingerprint registration during the initial installation and added 3 fingers later, but now it just fails every time.
I also encountered the audio playback issue while using Spotify today.

Note: Since the patches essential for making this device work has been merged into LineageOS main repo, there is no need to maintain a separate unofficial build anymore. All fixes go to the official repository and you can expect the official LOS nightly builds to contain the most updated code. You can still use this thread for bug reports though. But bear in mind that some bugs that only appear on specific batches and cannot be reproduced on our devices are harder to fix.
Introduction
This is an UNOFFICIAL build of LineageOS for OnePlus 7 Pro (5G version NOT TESTED, probably won't work). While most features should be working, remember that this is a very early version and things could break, especially for a device as new as this one. I have literally just got hands on it last weekend and spent a few days fixing issues like the fingerprint scanner and motorized front camera. Please always flash with caution.
What's working
- All basic stuff like telephone, bluetooth, nfc, camera, volte, etc.
- Fingerprint scanner (works but with a few minor issues that doesn't affect using it)
- Front camera motor
- Light sensor (sort of, read below for information)
- 90hz screen (with some bugs described below)
Known Issues + TO-DOs
- When booting, the system will alert you of an "internal problem". This is completely fine, just ignore it for now no more internal problems since 20190629 because it comes with its own vendor image.
- Bluetooth audio not working sometimes. Fixed in 20190622
- Auto brightness doesn't work. Partially fixed in 20190622
- In some cases the phone will crash when playing audio. Seems to be problem of AudioFX. I'm looking into it. If you get stuck in recovery after the phone crashes, you can fix it by simply re-flashing anything. Even re-flashing Magisk will work. Fixed in 20190624
- Light sensor doesn't work exactly as it is in official ROM, causing some issues with auto brightness. This is due to the fact that the light sensor is located under the screen, and OnePlus seem to have some magic in their frameworks code to cancel the effect of the screen. For now, I did a very very dirty hack to make it at least work, but no magic is implemented. Expect some issues with this thing. If you find it annoying, I'd suggest disabling it at least for now.
- I have tried to implement an algorithm to correct the readings of the in-display ambient light sensor, but it is still very very funky especially in low-light environment. Fixed since 20190706
- Fingerprint scanning has some quirks here and there. Sometimes the screen goes entirely black except for the scanning area, sometimes the screen may flash a little bit while scanning (tried to reduce it since 20190629). On landscape mode it appears at the wrong place. (fixed since 20190629) But it at least works. I am working to figure out exactly how to make it perfect but it would take some time. (These were also bugs present on the OnePlus 6T / Xiaomi 9 implementation. I have tried to clean them up and fixed some of the issues that were present. At least the screen now doesn't dim like crazy as on OnePlus 6T / Xiaomi 9 implementation, because it dims the correct amount to make screen area other than the scanner circle to appear as bright or dark as it was before increasing the brightness for scanning. Also it works around the somewhat eye-straining Android brightness-changing animation by using a kernel interface provided by OnePlus, exactly as how they did this in their official ROM.)
(Note: if your fingerprint icon gets stuck on home screen, try the following steps: lock your phone, turn on the screen, swipe up for password/pattern unlock, then immediately press the back button, then use fingerprint to unlock. I'll try to get this fixed in the future.)
- Screen colors and refresh rate is a bit messed up when booting. If you find your screen laggy or strange, just turn it off and turn it back on. Fixed by a hack since 20190629, but expect a slight short blink when booting.
- No 48MP for camera. Kind of what you'd expect for these imx586 devices.
- This ROM doesn't come with its own vendor image yet. It needs to be flashed over OxygenOS to function properly. Comes with full vendor image since 20190629
- Importing keys to TEE does not work. Do not even try it, you may lose access to your data.
- SELinux is permissive.
How to flash
Use the TWRP recovery here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-recovery-t3931322
Since 20190629, you DO NOT need to flash OxygenOS before flashing this ROM anymore.
Note: this rom is only tested with firmware images from oxygen 9.5.5 for now. If you encounter any problem for things like mobile data, please try using firmware from 9.5.5 first.
This procedure is a bit tedious, but it's only because we are on an A/B system device.
1. Restart to bootloader, use `fastboot boot` to boot into the TWRP image
2. In TWRP, wipe data (better: format data)
3. Flash this LineageOS image (this installs it to the other slot)
4. Go to Reboot -> Bootloader (this will reboot to the other slot)
5. Again, use `fastboot boot` to boot into the TWRP image
6. Install OpenGAPPS / Magisk etc. (this installs to the current slot)
7. Reboot system

Stock Camera App
I have a modified version of the OxygenOS camera app here for use with LineageOS. It mostly works after a simple hack, however:
- No 48MP available. There must be some magic in official ROM on the frameworks side, and I doubt there is much to do about it
- Gallery integration does not work. Clicking on the gallery shortcut in camera will always say "no photos". You need to go to gallery app manually.
- Slow motion works but it will show a black screen when first started. Switching to another app and then back will fix it.
Remeber that I am not a professional camera modder at all. I have little knowledge in this field, and this is only a fallback solution given that nobody else has worked on modding the official camera of this device yet.

Looks like on fps test I'm getting 90 although earlier I was getting 60 weird it bounces around like that lol also can't seem to get my Galaxy bids to connect or even get seen.
Edit. Also faceunlock seems to work pretty well also.

Simply because when I started it I didn't get 9.5.8. Didn't bother to update the blobs. But the rom should work ok on 9.5.8.

Also auto brightness seems to not work

The only system wide equalizer system that still works (the one explained here) on our device is causing the problem related to recording video in Facebook/Facebook Messenger/Instagram. Force closing the app now enables the video recording and as soon as the app is restarted the problem occurs again. And that's weird because the DSP isn't supposed to mess up the microphone or whatever facebook finds faulty and cancels the recording... Weird... Will look this up and update if solution is found.
Going back to the PRO version of that app now totally ignores the volume control of the device, which means in this .5 built the audio paths were modified. With pro version video recording is still failing. This is not a fix from xiaomi, this is an internal workaround, which is bad!!!
Even clearing the system, problem still persists. Checked permissions, checked storage writing, all is working, except video recording.

What was fixed:
-Video record sound can now work with Google Voice turned on
-Ram management works fine for me (4/64)
??? Questionable effects:
-Lock screen sounds work for me (testing after a reset, still working just fine)
-Charging/USB sounds seems too low for me (problem persists, the vibration of the device is actually covering the sound)
Other than this, everything else remained the same as per what I wrote in my previous replies.
Qualcomm's app for data collection is still there, so this may be another partial release. They fixed something but the broke something else in another place.
Another lazy update, the battery is draining much faster than on .4 version, waiting for calibration. I'm starting to get sick over their incompetence to test and deliver a good end user experience.

Let's not conclude quickly that the memory leak has benn fixed. I am trying to trigger it.

The device did not wake up from sleep, I got a random reboot.
magisk works as it should.
I install the update OTA this morning from official pie, the phone work well, the phone signal is a bit weak but all works well. No gesture in smart Launcher 5, i have fluid gesture for this feature.

I upgraded through ota from 10.0.18 to 11.0.4 and then i did Factory reset;
- New Charging sound was gone
- Lockscreen sounds doesnt work neither v11.0.4 nor v11.0.5
Anyone else getting super slow charging with this update? This is my first attempt to upgrade from Pie, and I've gone from 23% to 25% in almost an hour on standby...

face unlock function is gone completely, but after poking around I found that is the 'feature' and requirement of android 10 due to google's security concerns. ok...
but the problem I am facing is of a different nature. After update, I did factory reset but did not remove fingerprints prior to that operation. Now fingerprint enrolment fails every time I attempt to add another fingerprint. I was doing some digging around before posting this, and I already did try some of the solutions suggested for some other models which I have found scattered across XDA / so I already did boot twrp and erased via twrp file manager some of the files in /persist/data but that did not help.
any suggestions that could help, please?! thank you!

Seems bizarre that the Pixel would not force this message on you and the Android One phone would but at the point this phone is exactly that, just a bizarre curiosity. Bye bye Xiaomi.

You've got to hand-exit the XML file in the settings suggestion data folder. You'll need root. Or you could boot (not install) TWRP and edit from there.
If your bootloader is locked, there doesn't seem to be any way to stop it. You can clear data on settings suggestions but the suggestions will come back and can't be dismissed.

This happened to me after upgrading a Xiaomi Mi A2 to Android 10 from Android 9.
Might be related to the "/data/data/com.android.settings.intelligence/shared_prefs/suggestions.xml" file not updating some values properly, since some users with rooted systems have changed manually this values to "true":
<boolean name="com.google.android.gm/com.google.android.gm.setup.AccountSetupFinalGmailSuggestions_is_dismissed" value="true" />
<boolean name="com.android.settings/com.android.settings.notification.ZenSuggestionActivity_is_dismissed" value="true" />
And the suggestions don't appear to them anymore.
I had to do this a few times, as new things popped up.
