Since mango beta has been released, im waiting that some software house announce that they are working on wp7 voip app. but till now nothing. Anyone has soem news?? Skype said in autumn, but others like Viber, frings.... ???
As you wrote, Mango is still beta. So, Marketplace does not accepts apps with new API. Wait for official release plus few month...
Of course I wasn't talking about app in the marketplace, cause as u wrote, there can't be any mango app in market. I was talking about announcements of developers or software house, which till now have not been made.
For example BBC already demoed his mango app...
I'm thinking it's because:
- VOIP apps requires a lot of investments to infrastructure, servers, customers support etc. Also cell providers not welcome that kind of apps
- also everybody are waiting for MS/Skype release. It's too risky to invest some money without knowledge of future WP7 Skype features.
Hopefully they add Lync VOIP.. not just the IM part.
I am about to release a new type of root app and am in need of beta testers. The name and concept of the app have yet to be released. There are three requirements for becoming a beta tester: 1) You have a rooted device 2) You enjoy ***** (secret element?) and 3) You do not share the app with anyone (you will receive a unique APK for the duration of the beta test). Applying does not guarantee that you will be selected for the beta test. I need a certain number of users with a wide array of devices.
You will only be contacted in the event you are selected. At this point, it is not known when the beta test will begin but the first beta should be completed within a week. This is not a passive beta test. Do not apply if you just want to receive an early release of an app. You will be expected to participate in at least one survey and to provide constructive criticism (if necessary ) and feedback concerning features, app flow and usage and any bugs that may be discovered. You will also be required to share non-personally identifiable information concerning apps on your device(s) with other users of the app. This is by design and one of the main purposes of the app. If you are not comfortable doing this then do not apply. If you have any questions, hit me up on Twitter at @BrooklynAvi or PM me.
There is no need to fill out the form more than once as it will only make it hard for me to select the right people. Please do not contact me to ask if you were selected or what the app is all about. If you are selected I will contact you. If not, then you'll have to wait for the public beta.

Mozilla would like to announce the availability of*x86 builds of Firefox forAndroid. If you've got an x86 device and haven't tried Firefox - it screams. Even if you've been testing x86 builds on Nightly over the past couple of months, we'd really appreciate you taking the time out to test our latest beta build with your normal flow. One pro is that our Beta builds are automatically updated in the background through Google Play.
Our plan is to iron out any remaining x86-specific bugs over the next couple of weeks and release support as part of FF22.0.
Thanks for your help and ongoing support!

Blackberry release working version of BBM Android
Though the software teams at BlackBerry suggested they’d be beginning the roll-out of BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) as an app for Android and iOS starting this week, it would now appear that they’ve hit the proverbial pause button for both platforms. While it’s unclear at the moment if this cut in downloads and service to the chat app ecosystem for both Google and Apple’s mobile OS had anything to do with BlackBerry’s announcement of history-making losses for the quarter, it is clear that the results are thus: some people can use BBM today, others cannot.
Straight from Inside BlackBerry’s Luke Reimer comes word that some issues have arisen for both the Android and iOS versions of BBM. First, it would seem that the BBM app for Android was never officially released, but the BBM team saw a whopping 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours of app release.
Be the first to find out when BBM™ is available on Android™ and iPhone® :silly:

By now everyone should be realizing that most/all of the available BBM apks are unofficial/fake and you use them only at your own risk. Even the play store has had fake BBM apks available for download. If you must announce, yet another version of BBM please use this thread.
Thanks!
[official][discussions] leaked version of BBM"black berry messnger" /Update #3
General discussion of the BBM application for Android.

hi Android and iPhone users,
This is Andrew Bocking, head of BBM at BlackBerry. As a follow up to our first blog post on Saturday, I want to take a moment to provide you with an update on the rollout of BBM on Android and iPhone.
Last week, an unreleased, older version of the BBM for Android app was posted on numerous file sharing sites. We were aware of an issue with this unreleased version of the BBM for Android app. This older version resulted in volumes of data traffic orders of magnitude higher than normal for each active user and impacted the system in abnormal ways. The version we were planning to release on Saturday addressed these issues, however we could not block users of the unreleased version if we went ahead with the launch.
We attempted to address the problems caused by the unreleased version throughout the day on Saturday, but as active users of the unreleased app neared a million – and accelerated – it became clear that the only way to address the issue was to pause the rollout for both Android and iPhone.
The team is now focused on adjusting the system to completely block this unreleased version of the Android app when we go live with the official BBM for Android app. We are also making sure that the system is reinforced to handle this kind of scenario in the future. While this may sound like a simple task – it’s not. This will take some time and I do not anticipate launching this week.
Thank you for your patience while we take the time needed to deliver the experience you expect from BBM. We will continue to provide you with updates here on InsideBlackBerry.com and through @BBM on Twitter. We will notify everyone who has pre-registered on BBM.com when BBM is available on Android and iPhone."-Andrew Bocking, EVP, BBM
