[Q] Best Marshmallow Rom? - HTC One S

Hello i have a few questions regarding android 6 and HTC ONE S
What would you think is the best marshmallow rom available for the HTC ONE S? I've read Slim6 and CM13 are fairly good as daily driver
Is the hardware on the HTC ONE S capable of offering a good user experience with android 6?
Is it worth the upgrade from stock JB to MM?

The experience of MM is pretty well except of battery life.
Battery life is very poor that i had to carry my charger on me all day , and thats was very annoying which eventually i reverted back to ME rom based on jb , u can find it in the forum , amazing rom with parts of sense 7 .

[Q] Nexus One stock ROM port please?

Hello fellow Desire S owners and enthusiasts. I would like to see this happen, I love stock Android and I have been trying for several days to port Nexus ONE ROM 2.3.3 to our device but I didn't have success. So I'm hoping somebody here with more skill and knowledge may do this. I don't really like what HTC is doing to the devices the Sense skinning is only eye-candy and I don't like it one bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
if you replace the launcher and install the stock apps then youre halfway there, out of interest why did you buy the desire s?
Because I like it's design mostly, I came to it from a Desire HD that one got bricked but it also had Cyanogenmod ROM available and that was very nice. I love the device itself I also had the normal Desire but the battery life was very poor on that one. Anyway, I'll keep trying to get this done.

[Q] Looking for ROM advice please

Hi there
I have an HTC Desire HD, currently running CM7.0.3 ROM. Its my first ROM I have used and it seems to be one of the popular ones. I'm loving the speed my phone is now running at, and the smooth UI, But there is one big problem since I have flashed this ROM, My battery life is ridiculous. 3 hours of usage and its down to 15%, Im charging my phone twice a day and its about 2 months old.
Stock android had excellent battery life. Now besides the battery life I am kinda bored with the ROM now.
I'm looking for advice on which ROM you recommend, There are so many, I just want some personal opinions.
This is what I am looking for in a ROM:
GOOD BATTERY LIFE
Stylish panels and buttons
Must be based on the latest Android software
Overclocking options
Smooth and fast running
Ag hell, If you know of an excellent ROM with Excellent battery life then let me know. Please post a link to its page and why you love it.
Thanks!
Coredroid are a great set of roms for the desire ...ive been using them for a while and they have never failed me

Official ICS - user experiences? - possible to downgrade again?

Hi guys
Sorry for asking this question, if it has already been asked. I did try searching the forums.
My girlfriend is buying the HTC Sensation on sale in 2 hours time.
I wonder if I should make her update directly to the official ICS before beginning to set everything up in GB. We live in Denmark which AFAIK should have received official ICS.
What are your experiences with the official ICS? Is it very buggy or is it better than the stock GB on Sensation?
Is it smoother or more laggy?
Does it drain more or less battery?
It seemed to me that the first official ICS had some bugs... but can I assume that most of these have been fixed in a small update which can be run afterwards?
I know that custom roms are nicer, but I believe she would like to stay on official ROM at least for the first 3-4 months.
Also, can she downgrade to the official GB version again after updating to ICS?
Any recommendations or stories about user experiences are most welcome!
Thanks in advance
BR, Martin

You can update it to ics normally. .. its so stable more smother with better ui sence u can give it a go try to see if the update relesed from setting al>>about phone>>chech for update I think it did hit ur country. .... U can downgrade to gb any time u want by flashing back the firmware and then flash the europ version go to development section read the 3rd thread the guide of sensation it will learn u how to downgrade and debrand, ,,,or brand it again
Good luck

I can definitely recommend the official ICS upgrade on the Sensation.
It has been running on my Sensation XE for about 4 weeks now, with battery life nearly doubled compared to Gingerbread. It is fast and smooth like butter on my Sensation XE.
I've not felt the need to root my handset, I really love the Sense 3.6.!
I sold my Samsung Galaxy S II before the 'official' ICS upgrade, but I already had the leaked ICS running on it well before it was made available.
I bought the Sensation XE with the knowledge that the official ICS would be available shortly.
And I don't regret that move.
As someone who used the HTC Sensation on Gingerbread for 6 months, getting ICS was like HTC giving me a quad core new phone for free. It is MUCH better with ICS. Battery life lasts at least twice as long. Performance is on par with iOS, something which I could never say with Android 2.3.
Compared to my iPad 2, it is now 90% the smoothness. Before it was hardly 45-50% as smooth.
So yeah, I would like to say good job Google! And good job HTC!
ICS has hardware acceleration, boasting better battery life and a smoother experience, I can't go back to a phone or rom that doesn't have it.
ICS is amazing, yes. Sense 3.6 is a great upgrade from 3.0 but ever since I rooted my phone and installed sense 4 I am never turning back. It's so clean and smooth I just can't go back to any 3.X Sense version ever again. You won't be sorry if you give sense 4 a go ahead.

Thinking of upgrading from Sensation XE soon...

Well I got a Job and my Sensation XE seems like its old now, but I cant decide on a replacement, Ive got my eyes set on the S III, One X+, Nexus 4 or the HTC DROID DNA.
To me what i'm looking for is performance and which has a bigger ROM selection, any suggestions would be appreciated, I can wait for another month or 2 if anything new is coming out and the above are just what ive looked at so if there are better please let me know
Nexus 4 will have more development but most roms will be aosp based, so no sense or tw if you're into those. Its performance is slightly worse than the droid dna but better than every other phone.
HOWEVER, when there is a new version of android, you won't have to wait for anything. The devs will quickly update their roms and you will always have the latest android version first.
Droid DNA is great.! And you should consider xperia Z too. (best from Sony)
Or wait till s4
Life!

MIUI ROM

Hello,
What are your thoughts about MIUI ROM's ? Why they are not popular? Well they look great, are they buggy or performance is much worse? Battery life? I think they are popular in asia or wherever east of the world?
Is there any good MIUI roms around? Thank you!
Nothing is wrong with Miui...it's been one of my favorite ROMs all on my devices. For some reason...it doesn't get a lot of support on the HOX. I tried the version on this phone but Google Voice does not work and I need it to work. Try it out...very smooth and fun to use...as long you don't need Google voice

MIUI used to be my daily driver. The reason I liked it so much was because it had the smoothness of jelly bean, but then the Sense JB came out and I'll admit I love that camera.
