T-Mobile - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

John legere just said he has big news tomorrow on the pixel. Given that Google said it's exclusive on vzw, what could it be?

Maybe announcing it will support the 1 gig update to the network next year?

Looks like they are giving service credits (325 dollars) if you bring a pixel and sign up for the tmobile one plan. I have Unlimited family plan and not going to change.

I'm moving from TMO to FI, but I did notice that the signal for TMO here in Minneapolis was at least 15-20% better for the Pixcel than on my N5, which is nice.

Is that because of the added spectrum?

Just changed my plan. It was kinda funny cause I kept asking if there were any catches like it only being a 3 month promotional period or something but they reassured that it was permanent

, it only has 200 min. My 10, and data not LTE.
this plan no good
No it's LTE look at the last thing on the add "all on Canada's first lte network" I also had to get a new lte sim back in march when I got my I727R and if on 16th when my plan changes over (billing cycle) I loose lte and only get H or um bands I'm going to go postal on them.

I'm on Tbaytel/Rogers and I have a $50 plan that includes 300min talk, Call display, unlim texting, voicemail, Hi-10 (Like My10, but it automatically zeros out the top 10 local #s I call), and 5gb of data. It also roams for free on the Rogers network.

I got that plan for almost 2 weeks now. It's 6GB data/200min/my 10 across Canada / free call from 6pm to 6 am/unlimited text.
And yes its LTE
I think it's a pretty good plan...

I guess, still to much for no voice almost., and you can call Canada but you can travel roaming free in Canada.
Compare to this: this is my skyrocket plan:
Unlimited Voice anywhere in Canada - free long distance to USA/Canada
Unlimited International/North America SMS/MMS
10G of Data (also share it whit tablet + $12)
Visual Voice, Call Display + the usual
TOTAL with TAX = $85
Also know a great way to get a deal on rogers cable: Hi-Speed Express, 300G limit $60.
PM me if you have Q's.
I got the plan myself. My old plan i paid the same however i didn't have my 10 or lte. Now I have lte with 6 gigs without paying more which I am happy about.

I have to say few months ago I would say its crazy cheap, but lately we had some kind of cellular revolution and now you can get unlimited calls, texts and data for around 30$ a month after 3gigs you may get throttled and we don't have 4th gen but still.

Solavei wireless

What are your thoughts on this company? Both as a user, or a reseller?
The info I gather is you get unlimited everything, with a 4gb data cap on T-Mobile, for $49.99 a month. That's $10 less than the T-Mobile plan which is only 2gb cap. And $5 more than straight talk which throttles you if you stream anything. Thoughts?

Uh it's a pyramid scheme. While its OK and all, they are definitely making a lot of money in the process. If support is good then they should be good.

There are several users claiming to be on their service, without being in their mlm. Lots of interesting features allowed over other tmo mvno. But no recent "deals". Activation, sim, shipping and such start to add up. Coming close to tmo's latest $70 unlimited noncontract plan. I'd be willing to check the service out if they offered the same deal as before of the end of last year.
Mlm? Also there's no activation anymore it's just $49 a month now.

Multi Level Marketing
Anyways on Solavei, it is an interesting MVNO, much due to the fact it has free roaming and conditional call forwarding. Both postpaid features, with Solavei the only exception. They also state the data (4gb) at which they throttle, which is a trustworthy action to the consumers unlike ST. If you can actually refer people well, this has the potential to be an incredibly cheap or even free plan.

Bumping this thread up, I joined as a customer as well as in sales, it's legit for sure, met with my sponsor and all, so far I love this whole idea and evening about this. The two selling points for me was data size with the rest of the features being unlimited, and having not just T-Mobile, but also having AT&T available as needed.
AND I got a completely mint s3 for $300.

Experience with tmobile prepaid?

Thinking about switching after my contract is over at the end of the year...
I love T-Mobile in my area, I get about 14mbps data speeds. I've been with them a year and have never dropped a call.

[Q] Nexus 5 on Verizon(Big Red)

I know the Nexus 5 has LTE support, but I just wanted to be sure before I purchase it, that it'll be usable on Verizon. Always wanted a Nexus device!

Won't work with Verizon they are of control freeks

Definitely a no go on Verizon. Pretty much everyone offers LTE now, and the Nexus 5 works with all of them... except Verizon.

I bet Little Red will get it next year... that's one of the reasons I switched carriers.
Seriously. Thanks guys! I was an inch away from buying it. Hopefully Verizon pulls the stick out of their asses and brings the Nexus 5 over. I get the feeling they just don't want a device of such a caliber to be sold through them at such a low price. Needless to say however, if the Nexus 5 comes over to Verizon, I'll have to retire my HTC DNA. Love it, but the Nexus 5 is such a sexy phone >.<

Jesus. Going with Verizon was the BIGGEST mistake of my life.

I ordered 2 nexus 5s and going to play ETFs and never touch Verizon again
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
So, what's the basis for the incompatibility? Is the Nexus 5 just flat-out incapable of working on Verizon if I were to plug in a Verizon SIM?
Will Google have to make another version of the 5, or is this something that can be rolled out with a firmware update?
I've given up trying to understand Verizon's customer satisfaction strategy, but want to understand the nuts and bolts of why it won't work on their network.

Yeah, I bought a 32GB version today too only to find out that it will not be compatible on VZW. Luckily, my contract is up pretty soon, I think. I plan on going to my VZW store and finding out the exact date. But yeah, I'm hopping off of VZW as soon as possible. I'm so sick of their nonsense. AT&T Straight Talk, here I come!

Are we getting refund and reset upgrade eligibility ?

looks like verizon user are getting a refund show up on their account and reset upgrade eligibility automatically
Are we getting the same treatment from sprint?
the last time the refund was fast but it took 3 hours on the phone over 5 different calls to get the upgrade reset.
This is the only way they are getting mine back.

I just swapped my note for an s7 Edge. On a samsung fast wireless charger, my new edge runs hotter than my replacement note ever did. I'm wondering if I made a mistake and should have just held onto it. For those that swapped for an Edge, how much money did you get back? I only got about $53, and was told that $25 would be credited to my account, the rest went to taxes.
But I'm thinking of returning the Edge, use my old HTC m8 H/K until something else comes along.
That sounds a bit messed up you'd have to pay taxes on the credit, since that difference was already taxed during the original purchase.
You just got that amount double taxed...
