Just sending a shout out to anybody on Rogers until august 8th they are offering a 6Gig data/voice plan for 60$ a month just Google rogers 6gig super plan for details

Just changed my plan. It was kinda funny cause I kept asking if there were any catches like it only being a 3 month promotional period or something but they reassured that it was permanent

, it only has 200 min. My 10, and data not LTE.
this plan no good
No it's LTE look at the last thing on the add "all on Canada's first lte network" I also had to get a new lte sim back in march when I got my I727R and if on 16th when my plan changes over (billing cycle) I loose lte and only get H or um bands I'm going to go postal on them.

I'm on Tbaytel/Rogers and I have a $50 plan that includes 300min talk, Call display, unlim texting, voicemail, Hi-10 (Like My10, but it automatically zeros out the top 10 local #s I call), and 5gb of data. It also roams for free on the Rogers network.

I got that plan for almost 2 weeks now. It's 6GB data/200min/my 10 across Canada / free call from 6pm to 6 am/unlimited text.
And yes its LTE
I think it's a pretty good plan...

I guess, still to much for no voice almost., and you can call Canada but you can travel roaming free in Canada.
Compare to this: this is my skyrocket plan:
Unlimited Voice anywhere in Canada - free long distance to USA/Canada
Unlimited International/North America SMS/MMS
10G of Data (also share it whit tablet + $12)
Visual Voice, Call Display + the usual
TOTAL with TAX = $85
Also know a great way to get a deal on rogers cable: Hi-Speed Express, 300G limit $60.
PM me if you have Q's.
I got the plan myself. My old plan i paid the same however i didn't have my 10 or lte. Now I have lte with 6 gigs without paying more which I am happy about.

I have to say few months ago I would say its crazy cheap, but lately we had some kind of cellular revolution and now you can get unlimited calls, texts and data for around 30$ a month after 3gigs you may get throttled and we don't have 4th gen but still.

I'm not in an lte market right now, I'm on hspa/umts only. No 3.5g. 3g only. I have used 2.7gb of UNLIMITED DATA and I got flagged. Wtf is that?
HTC = Hate The Consumer
they throttle the top 5% on unlimited plans. spoke to a rep yesterday. although your usage to me does not look like a 5%'er
My average usage is 2.5 to 3.8 according to the rep I spoke to. He is also curious why I got flagged. He said he will look into it and call me back.

there are two threads here about this... one is titled throttled and the other is something along the same lines.. check them out for tips and gripes

Sprint may not have very good coverage but I can use all the unlimited unthrottled data I want . Not trying to rub it in (cause I used yo have AT&T and got throttled and capped) just saying it was a good switch for me.

The sad part is that even though sprint does not throttle their speeds Max at at about what we are throttled to lol. I left them in august and have not looked back.

Really??? I get a good 1-1.5 mbps continuous on 3g on my phone and computer when I use the hotspot. I font have 4g in my area to test that though. But when sprint launches their 4g lte in 2013 I will have it hopefully still unlimited too.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Yeah I was super dissapointed they did wimax and not lte.
Realize our 3g speeds are typically 1.5-5 , I have hit 12
When one gets throttled and can accomplish the apn trick...they are hitting 1.5-5 ...throttled
In my case here in Dallas i would get about 400kbps dload in most areas, which is why I left Sprint. Its different from area to area tho.

Yep had sprint for a few years and recently switched to At&t, the switch was night and day. I Showed my phone to a friend that still has sprint and he was amazed at how fast thing were loading especially YouTube videos and I wasn't even on At&t lte. I don't have an unlimited plan so I don't get throttled and average 1.3gbs per month so I'm good.

Im wondering the same thing. I'm not sure if wed have to renew our contract to get unlimited as with T-Mobile every time you add something or change it it Renews. Hopefully I'm wrong and they just lift the throttling without need to call.
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk
I was thinking of switching to Sprint when my contract was up, but now there isn't much of a point. I think I still will to try out the service and see how data speeds compareto T-Mobile in my area.
They give me a deal on 2 GSIII and I add a line. And I will.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
And I just dropped TMobile for straight talk. Still running on the same network. Maybe they will match data usage policy because straight talk's spring based phones have unlimited data.
Sent from my Android powered coffee coaster.
I wonder how strict they will be. I'd love to get rid of my Millenicom 3G account, which I use for about 15 - 25GB a month (mostly during night). Wouldn't mind going into a 2-year contract just for that
I know tethering is off-limits in their ToS. I guess I should be asking how safe and undetectable using tethering in cyanogenmod 7/9 is
I'm on a family plan for 3 phones, I am wondering if anyone can help me figure out a new plan that can use data usage with out worrying. Here is my current plan:
1000 Talk - $59.99
Unlimited Messaging - $20
3 Phones with 200mb - $10/each ($30)
3rd phone added to line - $10
Total = $120
Do you guys know of a better plan or way to get data on the phone that is unlimited but throttles it if needed?
Well when my wife had T-Mobile the only thing they would offer her when she needed to upgrade was a 2GB/5GB/10GB options. Since they wouldn't let her keep her unlimited, that's the only options I'm seeing via their website still. Either or would be better than 2/300MB.
You could've got unlimited talk, text 4gb 4g a couple months ago. About 70 total.

Oh yeah I saw those and if we decided to go to that plan we have to pay a migration fee of like $400 per each device or something.
They remove your upgrade and you lose money overall

Yeaah I know, its kinda dumb especially its all T-Mobile plans they want to charge a migration fee just so you can lower your bill. Smh, so I might just transfer to my brothers account and just split the bill. I'll get add a line - $5, android web - $20, and insurance, $8 or $4. One of those. And once split between me and him it will be about $70 exact a month
Ugh, I'm paying $180 for 2 phones with data plans on Verizon..... I wish I could get 3 phones for that cheap lol.

Yeah T-Mobile is great when it comes to prices but getting a good plan is hard, you really have to capitalize on offers and stuff.
Hi!
First of all I hope this is the right forum for my question.
At the moment my brother is in NYC and he has his Galaxy S III with him, but with his German SIM-card.
He will stay there until christmas and would like to have an American data-plan. Can you recommend a plan and a carrier? He doesn't need to phone and messaging isn't important, but he needs internet, Whatsapp etc. And he shouldn't have to pay for it after leaving the US.
Thanks in advance!

T-Mobile is a good deal if you do not talk much. There are few alternatives: androidandme.com/2012/10/news/top-5-pre-paid-wireless-plans-for-android-phones/
Thank you for that answers!
What are your thoughts on this company? Both as a user, or a reseller?
The info I gather is you get unlimited everything, with a 4gb data cap on T-Mobile, for $49.99 a month. That's $10 less than the T-Mobile plan which is only 2gb cap. And $5 more than straight talk which throttles you if you stream anything. Thoughts?

There are several users claiming to be on their service, without being in their mlm. Lots of interesting features allowed over other tmo mvno. But no recent "deals". Activation, sim, shipping and such start to add up. Coming close to tmo's latest $70 unlimited noncontract plan. I'd be willing to check the service out if they offered the same deal as before of the end of last year.
Mlm? Also there's no activation anymore it's just $49 a month now.

Multi Level Marketing
Anyways on Solavei, it is an interesting MVNO, much due to the fact it has free roaming and conditional call forwarding. Both postpaid features, with Solavei the only exception. They also state the data (4gb) at which they throttle, which is a trustworthy action to the consumers unlike ST. If you can actually refer people well, this has the potential to be an incredibly cheap or even free plan.

Bumping this thread up, I joined as a customer as well as in sales, it's legit for sure, met with my sponsor and all, so far I love this whole idea and evening about this. The two selling points for me was data size with the rest of the features being unlimited, and having not just T-Mobile, but also having AT&T available as needed.
AND I got a completely mint s3 for $300.
