I am looking for a cross reference that lists the specifications for all recent Android cell phones.
For example I would like to find all Android cells phones that offer dual band wifi (802.11.ac + b/g/n) and then be able to compare additional specs from there.
I've seen a number of sites that ask you to select this phone and that but I'm looking for something more high level across multiple vendors.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So I work for a very small cellular company (less than 40k subs) and my boss is ordering second hand devices with Android 2.3.6 OS Version. I've been hunting around online for the past few days to give him documentation on how out dated and what potential issues this can cause for customers. All I have found is from the Android Dashboards: (i can't post the link since i'm new to the forums)
So we have had multiple customer's in the last few days with this error: "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC: S-7:AEC-7 DUAS-N731-ACEW4] whenver they try to update an application. I've been trying to find a way to articulate to my management that the reason is the outdated OS of the devices we use, but I can't find any documentation to prove this fact.
I don't know if this is even the right place to ask the question, but everyone I've spoken to (reps and google, samsung, LG etc.) have pointed me to this forum. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist
Kindly register a account on XDA Forum so that you can ask/post questions in respective forums Well yes Android GingerBread Version is too old version now and many devices which were using it has now lost the development , the reason is that the many such devices were on 512mb of Ram and later on every stage of Android Upgrade System requirements too increased which later these devices lost the development , though there are still few devices which are running lollipop on 512mb Ram but is not easy task to achieve the same
Kindly post your question here Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

There was nothing in the box to insert in the slots and pressing on the hole and surrounding areas for varying periods doesn't do amythinpg and I cannot see any way of telling whether the device is charged or charging. No support is available in Canada. Only advice I get from computer shops is to throw it away. This appeal for help
Is probably too nooobie to get an answer but I thought I would try before destroying what in other respects seems a good device

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I suppose you have contacted the seller with this issue, and they have been less than helpful. It could be that the battery is dead on it (or worse in this situation, not present) so try leaving it plugged in for some time before attempting to make contact again.
In the mean time, please register for an account so you can post in other forums. The Cube Talk 9x/U65GT Equipped with MTK8392, the 8-core Chipset Devoted to Tablet PCs thread (in the > Android Development and Hacking > Android General > forum) seems to be where your device experts can be found.
If no luck there, you can also try the [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly] thread (> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
I'm not really sure where to post this question as its not a phone specific question.
I'm working for a company which works with providing GPS positioning for sports. We generally use dedicated devices like Queclink's GL300 ( www queclink com/GL300). But we are currently looking into making an Android app to possibly replace these devices. We've made an app which performs pretty well except for the positioning which can be very "jumpy" and not as steady and accurate as the dedicated devices. And the positions vary a lot between devices.
So the question is, can the position of an android phone be improved somehow if we go down on a lower level than what a normal android app can do? Or can anyone recommend a specific phone which has a better GPS chipset than the rest? Anything that can lead to more accurate positioning and less scattering of the positions?

Hey fellow Androiders
I hope you don't mind me reaching out to this forum, with a question.
We are hoping to get some advice from someone who has experience with Android SensorManager. Currently, we are in the process of Beta testing our app and find that we get vastly different readings from device sensors depending on the manufacturer and type device type.
Is there a way or a function that would normalizes the data? so that it appears to be the the same or similar on all devices.
Thank you in advance
Andrew

Hello,
I am looking for an Android-based "TV Box" that has good (any?) community support. I've found some devices with great hardware specs, however none appear to have good manufacturer support (updates). I've only owned Nexus phones and tablets since the Galaxy Nexus days so I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to updates and I prefer the ASOP experience. If someone could help me find a device or point me to the correct forum to ask, I'd much appreciate it. What I'm looking for is:
HDMI Output (Prefer 4K)
8 Core CPU
2+ GB RAM
32GB+ Storage (or expandable)
Wifi (Prefer 802.11AC)
Ethernet
Bluetooth
Thanks,
Thomas
