Hey fellow Androiders
I hope you don't mind me reaching out to this forum, with a question.
We are hoping to get some advice from someone who has experience with Android SensorManager. Currently, we are in the process of Beta testing our app and find that we get vastly different readings from device sensors depending on the manufacturer and type device type.
Is there a way or a function that would normalizes the data? so that it appears to be the the same or similar on all devices.
Thank you in advance
Andrew

Hi everyone, I tried for hours a lot of screen recording apps in my Chuwi Vi8 (on android), and all of them, gives me problems and I can't record any video.
If you have got the same tablet, please, tell me an app wich I can record the screen and the configuration.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and here is no forum specifically for the Chuwi Vi8 at this time but you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. I also found a thread relevant to your device at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/chuwi-vi8-review-cheap-z3735f-8-tablet-t3066807 that might be worth browsing.
Good luck!
I am one who is currently and desperately trying to block these unprovoked calls and messages from unknown and not from my contacts. One can says simply that I should go to the play store and download an app or two. My issue is that this solution, even with supposedly the best apps I got from there, they do not work all the time. I'm thinking that there but more of a professional approach to this issue which so much of us have and are experiencing. From my minimal knowledge of handling and managing a rooted phone, I do believe that many more options are opened for this issue. But the only things which I can think of as to why that would be are that the stock rom was not built as stable as a custom rom where it's built a lot better, with many more features too. I know a little of exposed and have used a rom with but never known if it has modules for this. Therefore, I turn to the experts here at XDA to please let me know how the experts would handle my situation so that I can follow their lead. Thank you very much and happy holidays.

I am constantly encountering 'bricked' tablets and only recently came across a Nexus 7 1st Gen 32Gb. It was locked on the Google Logo but I sorted it with the usual volume and power button combinations. I do get them however when that simply will not work and I see all the different versions of software out there to "flash" or reset these tablets. Can I ask which ones the readers on here would unhesitatingly recommend please ?? I would really like to be able to delve further into android tablet problems and hopefully solve them. Many thanks for any advice given...much appreciated.

I'm finally looking to upgrade my phone from the Verizon SGS4. I'd like to stick to Samsung, though I know they've really locked their devices down since I setup my SGS4. I'd appreciate any advice from you pros, or if you can point me to some in depth guides if they relate to my question.
My question is, what phones are best for rooting and customization now? I like to keep my device as stripped down as possible.
My priorities are:
No bloatware/malware
ability to only load the few apps I need
security
battery life
processing speed
Thanks for your time!

I would like to measure speed using the camera of an android device. Camera will be mounted in a static position, the subject will always be the same size and the distance to the subject will always be similar.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
