I bought an LG G3 Verizon a year back and since then it has been running android kitkat and has obviously become very laggy over the year. I now want to install CM 13 on the phone but Im afraid that if I install it I will need the sim unlock code again.
Can someone please clarify this for me? I live outside of US.

Greetings and welcome to xda. Firstly please give us chance to get to your post before you bump it, you are allowed to bump a thread after 24 hours.
With regards to your question, as far as I'm aware once your phone has been sim unlocked it will stay sim unlocked no matter what rom you install on it. If you ask your question here though

the experts there will be able to confirm this

Hey All,
I currently own a Moto G (just bought it today), 1st gen and I believe it is from Bell (Canada). I've tried using this thread; http://www.elementalxdesigns.com/ec...our-Moto-X-Developer-Edition-and-install-TWRP to unlock my device, but when I put the code in the website (Motorola's), it says my phone cannotb unlocked. Is there another way to go around this? Is my device not unlockable?
I just really want to receive the Lollipop update but I'm not sure how if not to unlock and install a rom that has the lollipop update in it. Could someone tell me how to go about unlocking or how to receive the update normally? Thanks very much in advance. a
Any help is appreciated. :')

What carrier? Did you change the APN to your carriers? If not, that's your problem.

Yeah already try that. I live in Chile so I have a foreing carrier.
I think it has something to do with being a verizon phone in a different country.
There still no way to root my phone with android 5.0.1 ?

Hello everyone, I'm making this thread because Im having some trouble updating my phone to the latest version of Andriod.
I have an LG G3 D850 factory unlocked. This means it's an at&t phone, so I'd need an at&t sim to update it. The problem is, I dont live in the US, Im from southamerica, Uruguay specifically.
As I dont have the sim or anything, my phone is stuck in Android 4.4.2.
My question is, is there any way for me to update my phone? What happens if I download and install the D855 version for this phone (the international version) will it block my networks?
Thanks for reading!

Hello!
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum to be posting this question. If there is another place to post, please let me know!
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5. The bootloader is locked and I just don't have the time to mess with it. I would love to mail it to someone who could help unlock the bootloader and put on a ROM like Lineage OS. If anyone here would be able to help with this, let me know your price and how much time it would take to do this. The 6.X upgrade was performed so I've heard it might not be able to be downgraded to allow the bootloader to be unlocked. Really this is all out of my knowledge-base so I apologize if I'm not explaining everything correctly.
Either way I'd love help with this. If you are the US that'd be ideal as mailing internationally is no fun.
Thanks!
Hello all,
I got a budget Samsung phone a while ago, the SM-J737V, expecting the usual 2 years of updates, from oreo > pie, and then to Q. But Samsung (or maybe Verizon I suppose) screwed me over and only gave me oreo > pie and then nothing.
What I'm here for is to ask all of the kind developers on this forum to please assist me in finding a way to unlock the J737V's bootloader, so that maybe one day this phone may see Lineage OS or AOSP, and so my phone will not die less than 2 years after I got it.
Thank you, and godspeed.

You can check this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-unlock-bootloader-samsung-galaxy-j7.3409080/
But IDK if this will work on your device. Best to ask in this thread first before flashing wrong files to your device.

Nope, didn't work unfortunately. My J7 is a newer one with no fastboot support and a locked bootloader.
Good day, I have a Samsung Galaxy j7v for about 3 yrs or more that my friend bought from a person overseas and from I got the phone it keeps asking me for a pin. It seems the phone is tied to an organization and as such I can't use the phone, is there anyone that can help me with removing this organization thing from the phone please?
