Hello everyone, I'm making this thread because Im having some trouble updating my phone to the latest version of Andriod.
I have an LG G3 D850 factory unlocked. This means it's an at&t phone, so I'd need an at&t sim to update it. The problem is, I dont live in the US, Im from southamerica, Uruguay specifically.
As I dont have the sim or anything, my phone is stuck in Android 4.4.2.
My question is, is there any way for me to update my phone? What happens if I download and install the D855 version for this phone (the international version) will it block my networks?
Thanks for reading!

Hello, and welcome to XDA! You could ask your question in the dedicated help forum for your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help. Or simply choose a lollipop rom from here and flash it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development or here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/orig-development. To post questions in these forums, you will need to register.
Good luck!
I'm from francophone country and I bought accidentally lg g2 sprint ls980 zvd (American version I think) on 4.4.2 KitKat that I can't automatically update to lollipop, the phone isn't recognized by lg pc suit and LG Mobile Support Tool is saying that the version I already have is the latest.
So is there any method to manually download and install official lollipop rom on my phone?
I don’t want to install an unofficial one to keep all functions (like video recording for example)
Please help.

Hello sir,
I'm not a developer, just a beginner who need help to solve a problem.
Hello, I have and LG G3 on AT&T (It was an American LG intended to bought to use in the UK) the phone is unlocked, and has the model number D850. The phone came running stock android Kitkat, with AT&T Bloatware. When i went into the settings to update the device, it states that there is no update to my device at this time, even though it says in the update history last update: not updated. The phone was listed as unlocked, and was said to be working on all UK networks. Is there any way to get Marshmallow without flashing? If the only way is flashing, is there a way for it to be done without rooting? Are there any roms that are official and are supported by D850? i don't mind losing all my files, as long as Marshmallow can work on a D850 model on AT&T. Thank you

Hello all,
A little background information. - I had an LG G3 - running 5.1.1 - It was originally a Verizon phone - Software version: VS98535B
It is an unlocked phone and I am living in the Dominican Republic on the CLARO phone service now.
I love the phone, it runs great. But it has never updated to MARSHMALLOW. I was told that if I don't put a VERIZON sim chip in that it won't update OTA.
Is is possible to upgrade it manually - (I have tried but had no success downloading the manual update software on my laptop and trying to update my phone. It always says "Phone is currently up to date.")
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I bought an LG G3 Verizon a year back and since then it has been running android kitkat and has obviously become very laggy over the year. I now want to install CM 13 on the phone but Im afraid that if I install it I will need the sim unlock code again.
Can someone please clarify this for me? I live outside of US.

Greetings and welcome to xda. Firstly please give us chance to get to your post before you bump it, you are allowed to bump a thread after 24 hours.
With regards to your question, as far as I'm aware once your phone has been sim unlocked it will stay sim unlocked no matter what rom you install on it. If you ask your question here though
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help
the experts there will be able to confirm this
Good Luck
