I just rooted my Galaxy tab 2 7". I also have a Kindle Fire and I had issues with the Fire where it got an OTA update and I lost root. Could the same thing happen to the gtab? If so, I'll put a custom ROM on it asap.
Or put simply: does or can the Samsung get over the air updates to the OS that can break root?
i have a droid 4 jellybean 4.1.2 the root program razr_blade runs and completes says phone is rooted. when i run the app root checker on my phone it says it is not rooted. i just did a factory restore and then tried to root. also programs that use root features also say the device is not rooted. how do i go about fixing this?
I had a perfectly working rooted HDX 8.9 running on safestrap in dual boot mode with the original FireOS and an clean Android with all Google Apps. Yesterday, I rebooted to FireOS and the damn thing updated the OS to ver. 14.3.2.2 in the blink of an eye, the one where apparently there is currently no root available. Am I stuck now to FireOS? After the Update, Safestrap is not active any more and the device has lost root.
Is there any feasible option to downgrade the HDX Apollo to 14.3.2.1 ?
Help is warmly appreciated...
i'm still new to the android hacking community and i am trying to root my zte n800 awe. i currently have all the files required to root the device but it requires a adb side-load. currently i do not have access to a desktop or laptop to do this with, is there anyway i can use my Samsung infuse 4g (rooted) to do the side load operation to root my zte n800 awe?
I am recently diving in to Android on a Digiland DL7000 tablet. It is a MediaTek processor running Nougat (Android 7).
None of the one-click rooting tools work, so I'm slogging through the ADB process and would like to use SuperSU.
Has anyone done this with the Digiland DL7000 tablets yet?
Try this method:

im looking to root this on. DL8006
unlocked bootloader. but don't know how to push SU without a custom recovery
Like I said one post up - use Magisk for this.
