The CPU Load is always high? anyone can hel me? - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Hello , I've received my xz for ten days , but the CPU load is always high even when the phone is idle. Just like the screenshot, there is obviously no app currently running in background , but the CPU load can reach 38% and all 4 cores are on. Back to the days with my z3, the snapdragon 801 often only have 1 or 2 cores working in idle state, so anyone can tell me what causes this problem?
Btw, when I switch on the stamina mode , the phone will become very laggy, I think it's also related to the CPU load problem.
I appreciate your help , thank you.

You need to check the battery and see what apps are displaying there as to taking up your usage..
If you cannot figure it out you may need to perform a factory reset and monitor as you install each of your apps.
the stamina mode will make the phone laggy as it also decreases the performance of the CPU

CPU usage

Is this normal in WM5? CPU usage is 70% all the time (even after hard reset) and games are running very slowly. Is it problem in my device or is it normal. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you for any help

70 % remaining or used?
Not normal, which application eats the cpu?
70% used (in XCPUScalar)... when I look into DRrunning apps it shows that idle proceses are using 75-85 cpu usage.

This is normal, it takes around 15% to show cpu usage.
Ok but it is normal that every game has really poor framerate? Even my friend with mda 1 has now better performance than me...

Nope, but which rom do you have? Have you a lot of background apps? What is the status of the memory?

I am using C_shekhars ROM (24 pagepool, 40 ramdisk)
As I said it is doing it even after hard reset with no apps. I have almost 50MB free program memory now. I think thats enough for a game like worms world party, so problem must be somewhere else.
why not try without XCPUScalar
maybe it's underclocking the device
I did hard reset and everything seems to be fine now... really strange because I tried hard reset several times. I'll install apps one by one and find that one which is responsible.
Thx for all help

What tool are you using to show cpu usage ?
Most of the time, only showing the cpu usage takes around 15% of the cpu!
Cheers,

i am using DFRunningApps (Task Manager v1.9) which is come with current

Yeap, as I mentioned earlier. Showing the CPU usage with TM takes around 15 % because it is updated every second.

This is an excellent idea.
XCPUScalar does not properly store your settings when toggling 'dynamic' mode on or off - the process is this:
1. set dynamic on, then set up your cpu vs load speed ranges
2. EXIT xcpuscalar
3. launch it again
4. set dynamic off, then exit
5. start again
6. choose a speed for when the machine is charging on the first page (the slider above 'dynamic' mode toggle)
7. exit
8. start again, turn on dynamic mode
9. exit
10. DONE! it's now safe to run, and will remember your settings
this bit me in the ass for a long time. sometimes it would underclock so hard I couldn't answer calls - other times, it was running at 500mhz and giving me about 2 hours on a full charge.
XCPUScalar won't let you configure everything at once. it's great when you get over that.

How to improuve your battery usage

Hello,
To monitor what is eating your battery install "system panel" app activate monitor from settings let the phone at list 2h in idle and check monitor history if you have more that 1% on cpu in idle or/and cpu graph dont have many 0 activity then someone is eating your power.
To check who is doing that normaly after installing apps you should monitor this graph. Many apps have bugs and processes try some tasks and eat battery.
To start disable all active installed apps with some tools like titanium etc and enable them 1-2 at the time monitor your battery and so on.
I succeded to make my phone last even 4-6 days at low usage of it.
Also a good ideea is to find an app that can pass to flight mode automaticaly in the night if is not a problem for you.
Good luck to all

Good one.
This should help somebody for sure.

i come back with how to make your phone smoother
many kernels for android have more frequencies and governors etc even stock ones
if you want your phone more responsive get a kernel manager which allow to set profiles
when screen off you set lower frequency to min possible and when is on you can try to half of maximum and see how phone works
hope it helps
PS don't blame me if you damage your phone
relating to battery life after test what i said in firs post make sure not to have hardware parts on like bluetooth gps radio etc if not needed these are not seen in the graph from that application

Great battery life!!!

After doing every possible combinations of ROMs and kernels and everything else under the son I have found the recipe for longer battery life and awesome performance all you need is the Deep Sleep Battery saver Greenify app and Go Power Master Hibernate all your apps then go to Go Power Master and make Greenify and Deep Sleep battery saver whitlisted apps schedule it the way you want Deep sleep battery saver that is as too what apps to sync so often or whatever and example I am used to running my phone dead four or five times a day I charged my phone once in two days when I used this combination so forget all those setting your processor to all these different speeds and profiles just use this and you will see the difference BIG difference unless your over clocked to 1.5 GHz or something even charging the phone and talking on it your battery barely drops this is one hell of a combination took a looooot of time to figure this or but works like a charm

If you have Deep Sleep problems, that Deep Sleep Battery really helps, but just turn it off (or freeze it) after waking your phone, since it still runs on background while you're using your phones, and consume some RAM, which we don't wanna...
Go Power Master, hmm... That "Optimization" thing just means "Clear Memory" (Background Memory). So if you have Task Managers who have that function, you can ditch GPM with your own Task Manager, less Apps installed
Greenify. The best so far. Cancels-out stupid background apps that persists (much better with the new version, GSF bye-bye! ). I only stay at my unstable 4.0 ROM for this baby (and also Xposed). If Greenify can be incorp'ed with GB firmwares, that would br awesome, which is not possible...
Additional tips:
• Lessen RAM usage (meaning close other running apps, foreground or background), to lessen CPU pressure.
• "Top-Off" your charging time. Do an extra 15-20 minute charge after 100% charging. If "fills up" the mV capacity , for the best full-battery experience
• If your phone can, Underclock/volt. Even less than a hundred mHz. It save some 15-30minute more juice on your phone. Just Overclock if needed, same as Setting the CPU clock to default.
• There are Rooted phones specializes on battery saving by:
*On Multi-Cores: Stop a core(s) to run. Really helps keep the CPU pressure off.
*Kernel Governors: Smartassv2, Hotplug, blah blah blah.. Search it...
• Limit / Lessen the usage of phone while charging. I don't know why, but I think its to, uhmm... prevent the battery pressure from charging-discharging, i guess!?
• Others are pretty basic. Backlights, GPS, Data, WiFi, Bluetooth... Yeah, no need to explain..
+1 good

Why my android CPU clock is running at max speed?

Hi,
I own a micromax canvas elanza 2 , unrooted and bootloader locked. I recently noticed that my battery is draining too fast. so to check ram usage i downloaded an app called system panel and it showed over 80-90% ram usage and full clock speed (1190mhz).
I tried factory resetting and rebooting but it only resolves ram problem (that too again goes to 80% usage after sometime). My clock is still at 1190mhz.
please help me.
Thank You
Have you installed an kernel or tinkered with the cpu settings in any way?
No, I haven't installed any kernel. But yeah, once I installed an app called game booster 3 by its rating(4.7). It has three modes but all for rooted users. Those modes said that it would make all my cores run but I don't think it would have any effect since my phone is unrooted. I tried boosting but no significant change on the game. So I uninstalled it. After then also my phone was running fine.

Need help on battery life and CPU usage

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and the battery was doing fine. A few weeks ago the phone started getting quite slow and the battery life went way down. I had installed a few apps around then, so I removed them and still battery life was bad. I tried restarting the phone and that didn't help. At the time I was running Marshmellow and I was using OSMonitor to watch the system. I was finding that Android OS was taking most of my battery and 30% of the CPU all of the time. Not long after that Nougat became available and I upgraded thinking that might help. It didn't help and OSMonitor no longer worked. I switched to GSam Battery Monitor and used adb to give it the permissions to see all app information. I'm still finding that the Kernel is taking 28% of my battery and Android System is taking 37% of my battery and I can't figure out why. I would rather not need to do a full reset and install all of my apps and settings again, so I'm asking if anyone out there has ideas on things to try and fix this. This is a non-rooted phone running the stock image from Samsung/Verizon.
Thanks for any help.
try activate the Battery Saving option and use it for a day and see if helps
I've had this happen to me before. The phone was getting seriously hot while it was happening too. I decided to do all I can without doing a factory reset (I was on vacation at the time, so no access to something to backup my data).
I cleared the cache of all apps. Then I disabled all of the stock apps I didn't need (like Gear VR). I also shuttered apps running in the background to about a max of 3 apps open at any given time. That stopped the insane heat issue, but Android System was still sucking 30% of the battery. I turned off Always On Display, that got me down to about 25%. A factory reset got the phone down to around 10%, and I never saw the issue again.
Before you do that I would recommend checking out this thread below as there does appear to be a bunch of other possible solutions provided by others.

But then my background syncing is turned off too...
I didn't need this before, so wondering why I should need it now.
I had same issues and was able to fix it. See the following thread for details.

Try this , it helped me a lot .
Download from the XDA forums the Kernel named : "Apollo Kernel" v7
Just flash it , and when you install it , if you dont use your phone for high end games or hard work, that requires high end specs , then you can underclock the cpu/gpu .
It s a battery life saver, plus , your components will be much better in terms of thermals/life
