I subbed to your channel. I would like to see a review of the black spigen tough armor case. It funnels the audio/mic to the front of the case and i want to know how well it works. I didn't see this feature on the gun metal tough armor you made a review on. Thanks.

It works fairly well, but if you have big hands you could end up blocking it easily. Not exactly mind blowing but it is adequate imho

Thanks, i got distracted and missed that bit first time around. Wish google put their speaker on the other side. I guess i can always just turn the phone around but feels unnatural. I have small hands so i should cover as easily.

Ultra Thin Hard Case

Has anyone found something minimal like the Incipio Feather, the Spigen Exact-Fit Slim Case or the Case-Mate Barely There?
Yeah! There are a metric crapton listed on the first page here (including the Spigen): http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/accessories/available-nexus-6p-list-t3225377 =)

98% of those are TPU/silicone cases. I think the only hard shell case is a clear one that has the laser auto focus covered (not sure how that affects performance). Spigen only has TPU cases for it so far.

Unfortunately, neither of these seems as thin as the ones I referenced . . .I'll keep looking. Thanks.
I've ordered the Ringke Fusion case, Thanks for the recommendation ! it looks fantastic, and slim enough to not make the phone bulky

the Ringke fusion case says in the description, "Ultra-slim design with a perfect fit for all-around protection with minimal bulk. " looks like the ultra thin hard case the O.P. was looking for, not sure why OP didnt go with that one.

Because neither it nor any of the others are as minimal as I'm looking for. What I want is just a shell that protects the surface and has a raised lip to keep the screen from touching a surface. Not looking for something to protect more than minimally from a drop. The ones I listed are are like that.
Wish Ringke would make the Slim case for the 6P. Have it on my Nexus 5 since I bought it.
Hoping that Spigen releases their Thin Fit case or Ringke their Slim Fit. Both in Soft Feel/Matte black.
I prefer the Ringke as it covers all four sides while the Spigen leaves the top and bottom open.
Spigen came out with an Ultra Fit case (in clear) which I continue to use with my Nexus 5. Perhaps they'll come out with a 6P version in the next month or so. I may hedge my bets and get the Fusion or Ultra Clear to hold over for now.
I can't vouch for any of these and I'm not sure if they're exactly what you're after, but here are a few options I came across that might be worth looking into (difficult to tell materials on some, ship dates may suck, etc):
*Also not sure whether cutouts are up to date for laser AF or whether old renders are being used.

The first pics they had on Amazon didn't even match the back of the 6P.
Now they have updated pics that match, but like you said, looks like it blocks the laser focus. We'll see once it arrives.
I ordered black was supposed to arrive today, but they updated the shipping. Now it's scheduled to arrive Tue next week.
I went back to Amazon and they don't even list black anymore, just blue, red and gold.
If it blocks the laser focus, back it goes...on Amazon's dime of course.
I have the ringke slim for my lg g3 and I'm hoping they come out with one for the 6P. I really like how thin that case is.

I just received the Monoy one, and it feels nice and thin but it does block the AF... contacted customer service to see if they plan on fixing it.
Sitting back and waiting for a Bear Motion case. Adds so much grip and slim enough. I've never dropped a phone with a Bear Motion case on it.

How do you like the case? Does it fit well? Do you use tempered glass? What make you choose Ringke over Spigen?
I am deciding between these two cases as well. Spigen has the black strip on the back fully exposed while Ringke has cut out for the camera and flesh only. I might choose Ringke just because I can use a lanyard. Spigen looks nicer though.

+1 I hope they do soon. It's the only case I've been using since the N4, then N5, iPhone 6s. I noticed that on the latest ones there's an edge above the screen that I don't like, supposedly so you can put your phone face down and not scratch the screen. I never do, so I'd rather not feel that raised edge when I swipe.

Ultra thin cases?

does anyone make ultra thin cases anymore?
If I get a case I would just want it to keep the phone scratch free and provide a lip for setting it face down.
examples: Spigen Ultra Fit, Rock Quicksand Composite Poly-carbonate Shell Case
I suppose I should add that I saw the slim cases post with the spigen and the ringke. The spigen page isn't loading for me and their 'slim' case has proven to be rather chunky on some phones, not like their ultra fit which doesn't seem to exist anymore. The ringke looks like it might work though, it's 1.2mm and has a lip on front. I'm looking for more options, nothing against ringke or spigen, but choices would be nice. Obviously there aren't a ton of cases for the pixel so the question is more general. Are there specific makes/models of cases that are super thin for phones recently that I can keep an eye out for?
Wait for a Calicase.

that is super thin for sure! thanks. I think I'd prefer a poly-carbonate hard shell but I may have to give this one a go considering how thin it is.

Bearmotion is making one...I had bearmotion for my M8, worked great, and had a very similar (though not as rough) feel to the Rock Quicksand on the GS3...I do wish Rock Quicksand would come out with one though.
I've had my eye on an iBeek case. It has a smoked rim and clear backing to show off the Pixel or Pixel XL's two tone design. Just not sure why shipping is so far out.

my issue with the bear motion case is the almost non existent front lip. I place my phone face down all the time. that being said with as cheap as it is I'll likely order one anyway just to test it.
Thanks to everyone for suggestions
So far I have received the RedShield, but still no phone to put it on and take pictures.
Anyways, its not "thin" it looks just like the OZRLY TPU, quite "standard" imho.

I purchased the maxboost and love it. Super slim and discreet. The grip is ideal for me because I want to effortlessly remove and place the phone in my pocket. I've had grippier cases that made removing the phone from my pocket difficult while seated.

I usually prefer the TPU cases and I just got the Google Pixel XL Case from Cimo for my Pixel XL. For the price, I would say its pretty great and wonderful quality.
I need an Ultra Thin Clear TPU between 0.2-0.3mm thick. You guys seen any yet?
Spigen Ultra Hybrid vs Ringke Fusion.
Which one is the better case? Ringke is cheaper so I'm leaning towards them. I've used the Ringke Fusion for my Galaxy S6, and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid for my Nexus 5. Does anyone know which case provides a better fit for the Pixel XL?
I have the Maxboost mSnap thin case, and it's pretty good. It's incredibly snug, thin, and well aligned for all the ports and buttons.
The long to negatives would be:
- slippery, though it feels like it's just the result of a slick factory powder coating that will diminish after a week of use, increasing its grip
- buttons are hard to press due to how small the cutouts are.
I can happily live with it until a premium, ultra thin case comes around.
My Ringke Fusion shipped yesterday from amazon so it should get here next week and I'll be able to give it a try. Right now I'm using the Spigen Liquid Crystal case on my phone and it fits really well so I can only guess the hybrid should be similar. I am partial to Ringke though because I'm one of those people who like to hang phone charms off my phones and their case has a cut out for them.
I'm loving the rhino shield crash guard bumper. It doesn't even make the XL feel bigger like it did on my 6P. Fits really well and the only problem that some people might have with it is the buttons are a bit hard to press. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for something minimalistic.

I've already tried the OtterBox commuter and the Incipio. Not liking either one of these I tried the Spigen rugged armor case. It is the best case I have tried so far. It's also cheap.

I know I can "add" a kickstand, but it's convenient to have it included especially if it's durable.

Thanks for reviewing this, it's a case I am considering. Mobile Fun UK has this priced at £20.

How well does the UAG play with large audio jacks? I've got an audio technica headphone and the jack it came with is pretty large

It's not bad, it will take most headphone jacks

Spigen cases

Just ordered a Neo Hybrid. Prices suck, but I love Spigen cases.

Love spigen cases but I usually wait for them on Amazon first.
That tough armor looks, well, tough! I have one on my 3 XL. Is there generally a lag before they show up on Amazon? I show an estimated delivery date of October 23rd through 24th for the 4XL
I could get a caseology but I like the stand on the spigen

I've always bought my pixels after their initial release. The 4 is the first pre-order I've done and just went with a Google case for now since it's what I've had on my 2XL for a while now.
Amazon has 2 XL cases up now. Available the 16th. I'm getting the ultra hybrid.
I've always had the tough armor cases. Always good. For now I bought the Liquid air case. It is 10.99 on amazon right now. We'll see how it works out.
Ordered on Amazon, cancelled my order with spigen.com
I always had the Rugged Armor, but thought I'd change it this year.
I'd check Spigen's eBay for these cases. The official online store for Spigen usually sells them at full price and the eBay store's pricing is usually priced around half of the listed prices. They ship from Irvine, CA.
That soigen crystal case seems like a no brainer. Fully clear so you can see ALL the color of your device in all it's glory. Some cases cover the back, others cover the buttons.

Seems to be a good compromise between strength and keeping the device clear. Looks even better than the spigen ?

I just ordered that case this morning. It will be delivered tomorrow. There's two other cases from them for the P4xl, one with tempered glass back (clear case) and another clear case with a kickstand.

Will do
I went for the Burgundy Neo-hybrid. I was all set to get a clear case; the better to see my orange Pixel it but it was sold out so now it's black that wont see until next spring when I sell the phone. I'll also pick up a nice leather wallet case when one becomes available. Link to the Neo here ----> https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Hybri...el+4+xl&qid=1571356020&s=wireless&sr=1-6&th=1
I've been running a thin fit on my 2 XL since new. Love it. Just saw they have a white thin fit I'll be pre ordering on Amazon.
Just got my Neo Hybrid and Rugged Armor cases. I was originally going to just pick one to keep and return the other one, but wow, I love the way both these cases feel. The back has a nice matte feel to it. Fingerprints don't smudge on it. I have oily hands and it's not noticeable on these cases

Outa curiosity, which one feels like it has the better grip? I was planning on getting one of these 2 cases myself. Really like the looks of the Gunmetal hybrid one. Thanks for any feedback :good:

Hmm ... This might be a YMMV type of thing. Only just holding both cases with no phone in it, I would lean toward the Rugged Armor being "grippier". Only because on the Neo Hybrid, the sides of the phone case might be slippery to some. But close tie between the two.
