I ordered this on Feb 12 and got it today Feb 16, would of probably been faster if it wasn't for the weekend and Presidents day.
Unlike my first of the same color with checkered marks, this one is clear and smoke colored, Fitment is fine, putting it on for the first time was a tight fit but it will give you the peace of mind that once its ON, its ON forever and this sucker isnt going anywhere. Fitment is perfect and all holes line up. What I like most about this is that it extends over the Camera lens unlike the previous one in which there was no protection at all.
I like it and will be ordering from these guys in the future.
www.googlenexusoneaccessories.com for $12.99, price might be a little high but I am very satisfied.
Not a bad price for a perfect fit & good protection!
Is this actually a crystal case? if so then I think it's a little too steep on the price.
But it does have an acrylic / rubbery look to it compared to a normal crystal case, but then again, also the pictures are quite blurry.

No its not a crystal case. Its a silicon resin case thats somewhat elastic. Yeah those pics are blurry but thats the best I can do for now since I used my G1 to take the shots.

Didn't see a "resin" case on the site. Is it the "candy skin case?"

Just looked at the invoice and its listed as :
NEXUS ONE CANDY SKIN CASE - TRANSPARENT SMOKE
you will not regret buying this.
How does the feel of the case compare to the Checkered/Argyle smoke case? That's the case I have right now, and I would definitely be interested in upgrading if the material feels the same.
Ordered yesterday and awaiting ship notification.
Does this still work if you put it in the dock?
Just ordered. Waiting for shipping conf. I got the clear candy one. I like the look of the N1 so if I can show it off as much as possible great.
I am getting this mostly for the grip and feel. Though it is nice it will protect it.

This one has a more sturdier feel to it, but its just as flexible.

No it will not work on a dock, if you have no plans of using a dock then this is the way to do. I dont think that there are any cases out there that will work with the Nexus dock.
Would the case block the camera lens?
The case does not block the camera lens. There is a small opening over the center of the glass lens so while the lens is protected from most scratches I haven't seen any effect on pictures (thought I haven't taken many). One thing i noticed though is that the small opening seems to attract dust which is hard to wipe off. A can of compressed air solves that problem though.
Think I might just order this one, using the checkered case right now and would love the cover for the camera lens.
BTW, there's a 15% off coupon for this website. Just use the code "nexus15". (w/o quotes).
Makes the total $11.04.
Is this better then the crystal cases?
How much thickness does this add to the phone? I am interested in some protection for my nexus, but don't want to double its thickness like many of the rubber cases do.
Just received the case. Here are the goods:
Fits perfectly
Protects the camera without ruining pictures
Flexible rubbery plastic provides good protection
And the bad:
Couldn't get it to fit properly with my phantomskinz
Harder to get the charger to plug in (inserted at slight angle)
Overall it's very good. It'll protect against most falls but you'll still need a screen protector. It fit over my phantomskinz snuggly but the skin and the case kept rubbing and sticking together making it difficult to install properly (some of the alignment was off) so I opted to remove the back parts of my skin - now it fits perfectly.
-And the bad:
---Harder to get the charger to plug in (inserted at slight angle)
I can confirm this. Nothing a little exacto work couldn't fix though
It looks so good, does it fit to the phone?
I did a ton of searching and came across this thread/case.
Here is one installed on a Vibrant.
Phantom Skinz Chromatics Carbon Fiber with Pics - xda-developers
Got the black Carbon. Should get it in a few days and will have a full review up. From what I've already read its the best out there. You can get it for only $20 also using the "summersale2010" code until the end of September!
I've not found any cases remotely this nice so for everyone else that has been searching maybe this is it for you.
I bought the black soft touch cover with built in kick stand.
Snap this custom-fit soft-touch cover to your Samsung i500 Fascinate phone
•Hard plastic cover with a smooth, soft touch finish that snaps on for a snug fit.
•Offer the ultimate protection without compromising the weight of your device.
•Easy access to all device functionality.
(Part#: SAMI500COVSTB)
couldn't be happier with it!

I put the carbon fiber on mine and really like the look of it...I would have liked to have gone with a color (I'm a girl...pink would have been cool)...but there are some slight alignment issues and the black of the phone showing out would have gotten on my nerves. I love the look but the phone is almost more slippery. You kind of have to get used to it. It's a shame they couldn't figure out a way to make it textured with a tiny bit of grip.
Once Seidio releases a spring clip holster for this phone I'll be very happy...the carbon fiber will protect the battery cover in my purse and of course the holster will protect the front.
Now can anyone explain why no one seems to think that lens covers are needed anymore? That's my only concern is the camera lens getting scratched. There is no protection and it's flush on the cover.
I agree. Aligning the back battery cover took some major patience. It also bums me out it doesn't protect the chrome rim around the phone because once it's dropped that's going to be the first to go.
I'll probably replace is later on once they start making slim snap cases that don't look so blah. The screen protector the case came with is super nice though. Very pleased with it.

I bought a 2 pack of the realook screen protectors on amazon and they actually come with 4 camera lens protectors. I think the entire pack was like $10. Screen protectors are pretty nice too...best I've seen on the market as of right now.

Anyone with the variety of clear cases care to chime in on what they recommend? I'm leaning towards the spigen ultra hybrid. Mainly due to the name brand but curious of some others out there. I ordered a frost and want to show off the styling! I know clear cases can be iffy so wanted some opinions.

I think there are a lot of threads on cases but I also appreciate the idea that it's sometimes hard to sift through them all.
I'll sum one up for you - The Nillkin Nature TPU case seems to be very popular. You have to order it from Hong Kong on eBay. I got mine and it is GREAT with one serious flaw in my opinion. It has a plastic flap over the USB power port. It is 100% TPU and very thin, adds almost nothing to the phone. That in turn means it doesn't afford a lot of protection. It does come in a clear version. I got the grey version for my Graphite 6P and cut off the USB power port flap. This makes it slightly imperfect which bugs me a bit. USB flap aside, it's a great case.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I was hesitant start a new convo for it cause I know there are a lot of general case posts, but I thought since clear cases are a thing of their own, itd be nice to have a go to post for those of us interested in them.

I have the Spigen ultra hybrid. Solid case - doesn't feel flimsy like other clear TPU cases. The lip is slightly raised on the front so that the screen wouldn't touch the surface when face down. This case had an issue in the beginning where it looked like there was a small crack near the fingerprint sensor opening (not a crack but it looks like one). They may have fixed it since then. The only complaint i have is that the entire camera black bar is exposed with this case instead of just the area where the lens and laser focus are.
I've tried Spigen ultra hybrid and the neo hybrid ex. Case-mate is the best one. There is a convo about it in the Spigen Neo hybrid ex post.

Yeah the whole opening of the black bar I didn't like as well as the like square outline on the back. Otherwise it looked pretty nice. I ended up going with this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0168DHS1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_CFuGwbXHQ21PE. Looks minimal, easy to take on and off, and slim. We'll see. I wanted to have a case here ready for my phone so needed a prime option. I'll post back on my opinion when I get on the phone.

Just got an Orzly Fusion Bumper case (or something like that). Very nice clear case, boutons are not covered which is very nice, and there is a black color on the sides which mean when you look at screen, edges are also black
Don't know if sides are transparent on other black-sided cases (like Ringke smoke black) but here, it's not.
Any clear case with a logo on it is an instant no-buy for me.
I'm happy with my redSHIELD clear case (Amazon Link)
It's one of the few I found that doesn't have a logo *anywhere* on it. It's a good clear TPU case for the money (likely the same case Orzly uses for its Flexicase). The only minus point is that the power and volume buttons are a bit squishy and harder to press than the actual buttons, but I rarely need to press them.
I am quite happy with the Ringke fusion clear case, it doesn't have the best compatibility with skins like Dbrand or Slickwraps because it has a snug fit but it lets you cut layouts to put between the phone and the case much like the old Nokia 3100
This is slightly unrelated, but how do you guys carry around your nexus 6p with these clear cases? I mean in the pocket? I have the spigen clear case and the case is fine, but every time I slide the phone in my pocket it gets a lot of lint on the front exposed side of the phone. Maybe a wallet style case ?

Maybe wash your pants better? Sorry. Seriously, I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid with my phone, and have never had a problem with lint. Out of curiousity, do you use a screen protector? That may help as well.

I don't know if it will help against the lint, but the screen protector is always a good idea. My phone screen is lint free with a SP on it. Lint does accumulate in the gap between SP and case. Some ppl get lint in camera holes, but I haven't.

I love my Spigen Ultra Hybrid.
Nillkin Nature for me! Good for protection in your pockets against debris, not for drops though!
Supcase is nice. A little stiff but it looks nice and is more protective than most of the clears I believe. And the ringke fusion is really nice and softer. It looks great but a bit thinner than the supcase. I have them both.
Famous brand always have high quality but designers won't pay much attention to customers,if they can hear our voices,it will be great!
I've got a Ringke smoke black one. No problems.

I bought the black and the gold one. My phone looks amazing
any photos of the thickness? One thing that prevents me from getting this case is the thickness, since the phone is already a bit thick for its size.
And the black one:
I got one of these as I was looking for case that would provide for a more secure grip. This delivers on that front - the plastic is almost soft-touch, and the texture on the back is great.
Unfortunately the lens/flash cutout (on the white version at least) seems to cause problems with flash photography. Specifically, I get a lot of glare on the left side of pics taken with flash. I confirmed this by removing the case and retaking the same pic - no glare.
No such issue with a TPU case that had a bigger cutout around the lens/flash.
This seems to be the case with many of the chinese made cases ( at least in my experience).

I picked one up as an open box on Amazon to use as an interim case. I have an Orzly glass protector and it doesn't interfere, in fact it looks quite nice. My only complaint is that when one-handing the phone, I personally rest my pinky on the bottom by the charging port and I find that the case will cut into it causing discomfort.

Awesome, cheers for the response. I actually decided to go ahead and order it anyway last night. From the pictures it looked like it doesn't cover over the screen.

The no-brand TPU case didn't affect flash photography, neither does the soft-touch hard case that replaced the Nillkin. Both were made in China.
The shape and size of the cutout is what matters, not where it's made.

Today I am reviewing the OnePlus 6 Case, Poetic Guardian [Scratch Resistant] [360 Degree Protection] Full-Body Rugged Clear Bumper Case [With Tempered Glass] for OnePlus 6 - Black from the link below if you would like to purchase it.
This thing is built to last. I would safely call it the alternative to the Otterbox. Once it is assembled and the included TGSP is in place, nothing will touch your phone.
This does create QUITE A LOT of BULK. Like alot. I guess the trade off is your phone will never break even if you throw it across the yard.

lolol.
I'm waiting for the Poetic Revolution case, should be pretty similar, only no glass back and the ports should be covered as well.
Gonna use it for biking, skiing, or other types of adventuring since it's way too bulky for daily use.
I had the Revolution on the OP3 and it was amazing.

I ordered that one as well. Will be here today.
I just installed my Guardian case and screen protector.
Great protection though bulky.
The glass screen protector installed very easily and looks great.
No dot matrix.
I like to protect my device so that later on I can re-sell them on Swappa and get a decent price.
The Guardian is a winner if you want full protection.
How much of a lip for the front glass is there on this case?
The Poetic guardian is very "meh"...it seems like it probably offers decent fall protection, but I really don't like the cover on the selection switch. The cover on the selection switch doesn't even stay in when you pop it in and the other port covers don't do anything to keep dust out of the case. The clear back with the white phone looks nice until you get dust inside, then it's really hard to remove the case to clean it. The included screen protector has black boarders that cut off some of the display, the notch sticks out into the screen too far and the edges don't stick properly.
Does dust go under the back protector? How does it look like - in case you have a black phone? Is there lots of dust? Is it very visible?
This is the only reason I have not bought in - visible specs of dust on a beautiful device really bother me. (on a non transparent case you do not see it, so its fine )
