[Completed] Audio Recording - XDA Assist

I recently bought boAt BASSHEADS 220. They are very awesome. But when I tried the "Sing!" app I realised that I was hearing double after playing what I recorded. Then I tried it on PC. Same thing again, I could hear the windows sounds in the recording(I changed volume while recording). So I tried the samsung earphones(ones which come with handsets) and same problem persists. I believe it's a software issue.
Using Resurrection Remix on Redmi Note 3 Prime (SD).
Which section should I post this to?

Android problem.. need expertize

I have a samsung gt i7500 but I'm sure the problem is android related.
After playing around with some roms and one time when I called someone he did not hear me and I didn't hear him, it worked only with the microphone and the headphones it came with. From there on reinstalled all possible roms versions and default versions and I always have the same problem.
Also I noticed that if I try to play music on the speakers I can't hear it.
Today I installed a new rom and saw the music DID work before making a call. But after the call with no voice/sound the speakers music didnt work any more either.
At one samsung shop a guy told me that he can't fix it but the internal drivers/software components are of different versions.
I think it might be the phone.tar file with an amss file inside that is ****ed up.
Any ideas? hoping someone can help
Hello i hade that same problem and solution is very simple CLEAR YOUR EARPHONE CONNECTOR with commpresed air

Galaxy S6 speaker problem (SM-G920F)

Hi guys,
Since a few weeks I've got a problem with the speaker from my Galaxy s6. The sound is stuttering. It happens in every music player, video player, browser and so on. Via Bluetooth or headphones there is no problem at all! I've made a video of it, so you guys can check it out. I really hope someone has got a solution for me!
Video of the problem: http://youtu.be/XiDLQU2LmmQ
Further info:
- Model number: SM-G920F, European (Dutch), Vodafone
- Not rooted, has been rooted before.
- Android 5.1.1, since yesterday
- Flashed stock firmware through Odin after root access, problem was still there.
- See other info in the attachments.
i have dual sim international version and have a problem but not exactly like that but its similar in some aspects ....... it occurs since 5.1.1 update
if u find a solution plz share it cuz i believe many others have the same problem
my device running 5.1.1 .......... never rooted or has recovery change
the video is deleted, could pls reupload maybe i too face the same issue
I have same issue on my S4. Headphone or speaker. It's happen almost all android phone cuz buffer size is low. In Neutron Player you can re-size buffer size. So it will not stutter ON Neutron Player ONLY.
Hey, asking almost a year later, but did you ever find a fix for this issue? If you did (or didn't) please reply, this is driving me crazy!

It would be great if someone had a solution

Low microphone performance

Hi,
I've already asked this question on Cyanogenmod forum but it was never answered. Here, on xda-developers I see that people encountered the same problem on HTC One Mini - low microphone performance while using Cyanogenmod (see this post for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...m-cyanogenmod-12-unofficial-build-m4-t2985009 - I would like to take part in discussion but as my account has been created a minute ago I can't respond to a post in 'development' section).
Someone stated, that this is common issue of Lollipop - I'm not an expert but I wound't say so. My HTC One Mini performs really well in terms of call quality and reception. The only issue I have with it using Cyanogenmod is the microphone performance. Just after installing CM people I called complained that they don't hear me well (it didn't happen while using stock Android).
I would really like to try some of the unofficial CM12 for my One mini, but call quality (both way) is a critical thing for me. Is it possible to help fixing this issue? I would like to help. If providing any logs/statistics/other* makes sense then let me know.
Cheers,
Jakub
potential fix
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/mod-camcorder-audio-quality-fix-t2837930 this may be a possible fix if it's the same problem as for the nexus 5. Somebody with android developing/porting knowledge should find if it is the problem occurring our One Mini and try to port if. And yes, I've tried to flash the zips from link with no luck
But there is no noise suppression option in HTC One Mini (both in stock ROM and CM).
Hey Jakub!
I am facing the same or a similar issue.
Microphone level seems to be quite low such that sometimes I have to speak quite loudly to be understood on the other side.
With my old SGS2 I also had audio issues but using a (wired) headset I had no problems. Unfortunately with One Mini, the headset's microphone does not seem to work
Did you try using a headset?

I remember that I've used headset with my One mini, but I don't remember if I was using CM back then. For sure I got complains only while not using headset. So probably problem is only with internal microphone. Anyway - such issues makes the Cyanogenmod not usable for me because I know how annoying it is when you don't hear the other end well.
And to make it clear once again - I've never got complains while using stock ROM and I find call quality & reception really good on HTC One mini when using stock. With CM only microphone performance seems to be worse.
I was using stock-based InsertCoin rom until I flashed CM12.1 and at least in terms of in-call audio, I also never had a problem either with the internal or headset microphone.
My guess is that the microphone sensivity simply is too low, which can also be observed in the voice recorder. When loudly talking into the microphone, either internal or headset, quality is fine.
Unfortunately, I also cannot make any comments in the main thread yet :silly:
Downgrading HTC firmware seems to work for me. I extracted the firmware.zip from the first OTA update available for the One Mini (OTA_M4_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.31.401.1 in my case in France) and flashed my device with it. I haven't tested other firmwares yet but here is a big resource available on the net with all you need for testing (firmwares, OTAs, RUUs, etc...). As I can't post URLs with my newbie status you can find it by typing "downloads for HTC One Mini by Krocko - Android File Host" in Google.

Nexus 5 Problems

Nexus 5 - Issues with Ear piece + randomly switches off
Hi Guys,
Although I am not Developer or pundit but passionate about tech savvy. So then I have this LG Nexus 5 hammerhead 32 GB which was working excellently till my upgrading it to 5.0.1 somewhere in last Dec'14. Since then it started behaving erractic where all sound systems are operating & working Except handset earpiece, so had use speaker which was embarrassing when with group of people around.
In nutshell, there are 2 major problems with my handset - first Earpiece doesn't work and second it switches off (restarts) randomly. Consequently placed all my efforts to resolve these issues by way of rebooting, Safe mode, factory reset including upgrading to Android 6 Marshmallow but without any fruits. Presently it is running on 6.0.1 and random restart issue has become quite frequent therefore I am unable to use it. Sincere request to assist in restoring my Nexus 5 to normal working. Pls pls pls

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Your thread will be moved to Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
Have you tried reflashing the ROM?
___
v7
XDA Assist
Try starting from scratch by flashing the factory images: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
This should fix your random reboots. If that doesn't help for the earpieces, you may consider a hardware issue.

Zte axon 10 pro DTSsound no longer works

Has anyone else found that the DTS sound no longer works on their axon 10 pro? I only realised it recently so not sure when the problem occurred but I'm assuming it went wrong on one of the recent software updates. If anyone knows why it happened and how to fix the issue I'd be grateful to hear from you.
