Full protection case (TPU) for Moto Z (Indian version) - Moto Z Accessories

Hi all!
I have slapped a Nillkin style cover (available on Amazon.in) on my Moto Z. But the case, though quite slim, doesn't protect the device quite adequately - that's the way I feel about it. I know I can go directly to Otterbox portal and order that there - but I am too reluctant to pay a hefty postage fee! Can anyone please recommend a good case for protection, which is available on either Flipkart or Snapdeal or Amazon (dot in) or for that matter on any Indian online market?
By the way, how is Nillkin as a brand? Are they a reputed one?
Thanks in advance.

Theoretically, yes I can.
But practically I would NOT recommend doing that. The reason being two fold:
I remember seeing "only for sale in India" somewhere in the box - I may be wrong - and unfortunately I can't verify that now since I dumped the package in the garbage. If I am true, then I am unsure whether that will pose any unnecessary inconvenience in the customs checking.
Secondly, the cost of the package and/or postage will be around 3800 INR (if not more than that). So, that effectively makes the entire cost somewhere around 44000 INR (approx). Add the overseas transaction charge on paypal to that.
Under these circumstances, I'd have bought the device locally, if I were you.

I would have done this way IF @Moto they had decided to sell a reasonable version in Europe! It's not a matter of price, problem is that here they sell only 32GB single SIM versions which are NOT what I need..!
They *know* that are using absurd selling politics and in fact they have forbidden all on line retailers to sell abroad. In all the world. BUT this doesn't apply on private2private sellings, so no problem for "India only" labels...
I'll travel to Malaysia in some days and I'll see what would be available there. After that I'll decide what to do...
If in the meantime prices will not drop a bit, would you eventually interested in a, let's say... 45.000 INR selling?

I understand the situation. Let's discuss regarding this though PM (have already dropped you a message) - I intend to keep this thread clean and on the topic.

A shameless bump.
Just wondering - why don't we get the Otterbox or Spigen TPU cases already in India?

Did anyone buy from chinamobile?

Hello everyone,
I found a man called Kenny Taylor that sells phones, and I compared prices,
he`s prices are ridiculously low,
he`s saying that he works at chinamobile as a sales rep,
though I really couldn`t find any information about him or about phones in the site,I could manage to see only blackberry`s there.
He claims that the phones are brand new,in original box and with all accessories and they are not china clones.
He`s quotes for the phones I wanted -
iPhone 3GS 16GB (unlocked) - 300$
iPhone 3GS 32GB (unlocked) - 350$
HTC Hero - 250$
HTC Nexus one - 230$
International shipping via Fedex/USPS - 60$.
The prices here are 300$ less than the MSRP,and I don`t know if I should buy from him - maybe it`s a scam or something.
If anyone knows the person/company,and did buy from one of them - it would be nice to hear about that.
*if the thread is not in the right section of the forum,it would be nice if you could move it to the correct one*
**this thread is not about advertising the company/the guy, just for information matters**
Lots of thanks,
Danny.
100% SCAM!! Those prices are ludicrous, no way in hell are those real, most likely you will get nothing at all. and FYI, mobiles and pretty much all electronics are more expensive in China than in the US, and China Mobile shops are the MOST expensive places. STAY AWAY!
Thank you mlalahoi, actually I was going to buy the nexus one from him,
knew I should ask in here first.
Quick update -
I have got an answer from the company,I have to say that it sounds very believable..
Thanks for your mail.
This person that you are talking about i don't no him but he can be a
scammer too that want to you buy from him...
So i will advice you to buy from us to try and have believe in the
company...we no that there is alot of scam out there.
We are not scam we are real company that as been in business for more
then 8 years now...once we confirm your payment we are going to ship
the phone to you at your home address.
The reason the price is so low is the we buy direct from the company
that product the phone in bulks and right now we are running promo in
the company for buy 3units and get 1 for free.
So if you are going to buy the Htc Nexus one only the payment is via
western union not paypa...because is too low for the payment
condition.
Below is the condition about that payment
Any orders form $100usd to $3000usd=== via western union.
Any orders form $3000usd to $4500usd=== via bank transfer.
Any order form $4500usd above is via paypal.
So you are going to pay the money via western union money transfer.
So get back with your shipping address information so that we can
started packing and label your order ready for shipment.
Regards
Sale Rep.

That's not believable at all if you know what to look for. First, the grammar and spelling is atrocious. Any real company would take the time to actually write their correspondence letters in a professional manner. Secondly, a legitimate, respectable company would never use Western Union to transfer money, no matter the amount. Every money transfer scam I've ever seen uses Western Union, since it's not traceable or reversable. I would not buy from any seller selling new devices at those rediculous prices; even if bought at wholesale prices, they would lose a lot of money selling that cheap. My advice is to stick with a reputable seller so you don't end up losing a few hundred dollars and not get anything in return, as I can guarantee you won't get what you order from these people.
Thank you for your answer Dave,I`ll stay away.
Once again - thank you all for your time.

It's not that bad, heh, but there are a few things you should keep in mind:
do not buy "genuine" stuff from China, either you're gonna get a fake or worse: nothing
go with established stores like DealExtreme or FocalPrice
use only PayPal, only scammers use Western Union
engrish is somewhat the norm, even with bigger stores :/
if you're getting a phone from there, choose one which has been properly reviewed, DealExtreme is very good in that regard as they have a very active forum and users , so you know what are you buying
If she reaches for a handful you'd better have the energy!

[Q] Has anyone found this cradle anywhere

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/deluxe-htc-desire-hd-desktop-charging-cradle-p26571.htm
I am looking for this cradle from anywhere that accept Paypal but except mobilefun.co.uk.
I haven't managed to find any though. If anyone found one or similar (but with audio jack and headphone external jack like that one), let me know.
Yeah my eye also on this cradle. Unfortunately I haven't found it on ebay either. Mobilefun only has it. I hope Chinese guys wake up immediately and see this
mobilefun will stock it in 2 days but I'm not willing to buy anything from a shop which uses discrimination policy (higher price for non-UK buyers) when others sell at the same price. Since they are all Chinese, let's wait and see, maybe they appear somewhere else as well.

Hey! We're just getting our own back. Normally we (in the UK) pay MORE than non-UK peeps for the same thing. The usual story is that something that costs $10 in the US will cost £10 here. When the exchange rate is £1=$1.50!!!!
And I can't see the different pricing. I put one in my 'cart' and asked for international delivery and it was just a few pence more than delivery in the UK .... and they HAVE to charge more for international delivery than UK delivery seen as how they're a UK company.
Or have I missed something?

You are missing something.
Of course delivery price will be higher depending on the destination. The price difference I mention is not in regards to exchange difference. I mean that you buy a DHD for example which is shown GBP470, if I buy it from outside UK, they will convert it to somewhere around GBP560 although this is not the real exchange rate. I contacted them and they state this as a policy. mobilefun and expansys does this so I am not shopping from them. handtec and a few other shops don't do this. I bought my DHD for GBP470 form them at that price and the loss of currency convertion will be something that I either win or lose during payment from my bank account and it wil not be so significant, maybe a few pounds.

Was interested in this but £20+ seems quite steep for a piece of plastic, a USB cable and a battery connector.

I'm sure this is the same if not a similar product if your looking for a Paypal compatible seller.
Anybody know of a cheaper version of the product without the extra battery charger?

American adaptor suitable for Australia?

Hi All,
I'm considering purchasing the tf700 from America and importing to Australia (as they are going to flog it off here for $999AUD!
The only thing I need to confirm before purchasing is if the adaptor will be suitable for Australia (don't want a surge).
Does the info on the (American) power pack indicate it handles 110-240v ?
Thanks for any help you can give,
Mike

Input 100-240 V, ~ 50/60 Hz 0.5 A
Thanks Mate.
Yes, hopefully doing the same. Probably gonna need a an adapter as well. How you gonna get yours over here?
I'm pretty sure I read that all Aussie tabs will come with the Key Board dock also, still priced high but thats something to consider plus 32/64 at that price?
Ordered mine through ebay last night. It is winging it's way here via DHL as we speak. Paid 838 AUD (including express shipping) for 64GB with dock (a. grey colour). Expect it to arrive here on Monday next. When you add the $10 for an adaptor that still comes in $140 cheaper and at least a week earlier than the Oz release.
Would I be able to get a 32GB no dock from the same supplier?

check out ebay mate. Theres a few offering 32GB no dock for well under 500. Express shipping (cause who wants to wait weeks once you have committed the money) costs about 60. the ususal precautions re: checking out sellers reputation apply, obviously.

Reliable websites to buy Xiaomi mi4c

I created this thread because for some reason I can't post in the thread about xiaomi buyers, I can't even comment and I don't know why.
Anyways, I wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with giztop.com and if so, a few questions.
1) did you have to pay customs?
2)was the phone in perfect conditions?
3)how long did the shipping take and how long did it take to get a tracking number?
Everyone is invited to post their experiences with different websites buying the xiaomi mi4c and also by answering those 3 questions if you can.
I ordered a Mi4C from geekbuying.com. It's a "big" and reliable website/store with many customers. Also their customer service support is fast and helpful, for example they included a gift in my order. I still haven't received my item because I chose the "slow" flat-rate shipping which can take ~15 days, but I'm not in a hurry.
I received a correct tracking number almost immediately after I placed my order. I'll report back with more answers to your questions
@Flaxe. How much did it cost you? Don't hesitate to come back when you get your product

It cost me USD 277.35. And I just noticed that it arrived in my country at 31 October, so it only took like 2 days to get here. Now the slow swedish post just have to hurry up!
I used Geekbuying too, to ship to the UK, shipping was free even though it was apparently 'expedited'. TNT was on the list as a 0 cost option and a 3-5 day shipping time. Mine was ordered on the 24th, shipped on the 26th, and in my hand on the 29th. Really hassle free. Phone was in perfect condition, and bloat seemed minimal if anything at all. Bloat is a bit of a moot point though as sMIUI went onto it straight away.
Do you guys think it'd be just as smooth to the U.S? Did you guys use EU warehouse? @Flaxe @Salieri_UK

I have no idea how it will be to the US, but I guess it will go pretty smooth. Mine was shipped from Singapore, they didn't have it in a EU warehouse when I ordered.
There is a thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/general/to-buy-outside-china-t3208959
I bought from ibuygou and asked them to check if there were any faults with the device, they said they will check. I got the device and it came with EU rom so no bloatware and they gave 2 free screen protectors. Got dhl tracking same day. They offer duty insurance, so if you get charged, they will refund you. Also very repsponsive with emails. I'd use them again

I haven't heard anything about it yet. Though, when reading at the swedish import "laws", there's 0% duty for importing phones, but we still have to pay 25% tax.
When I track the item on the swedish post website, it now says the item is being sorted at the terminal and I should have it delivered to me tomorrow. So then I will know for sure if I have to pay anything extra.

No because I paid for the duty insurance which is 5% of total. They still marked the item $20 but I didn't want to risk it. Yes packaged separately but I'm not sure if they give it to every customer.

Xiaomi official point of view regarding spare parts

I'm an owner of a Xiaomi Mi 4C and I have a problem with my display (got some nasty spots from heating probably) and I send an email to Xiaomi EU email adress asking them where from I can buy an original display for it. After more than a month with no answer from them, I forwarded the email to another Xiaomi support email adress and finally I have the answer here... This is the reason why this phone will be my last phone ever bought from a chinese manufacturer...
Xiaomi support answer https://imgur.com/qPawNdX
Sent from my Mi-4c using Tapatalk
i think it is pretty obvious that when you buy a phone from a reseller, and from outside your country, and also being that country China, it is obvious that you totally risk the warranty for getting a cheaper phone....
Also, if you didn't know, Xiaomi don't sell Mi4C outside of china, so for them you are not a client
Yup - when buying Chinese electronics outside of the supported market, there are risks. Those risks are greatly offset by the price.
If you still need a display, GearBest has been advertising OEM replacement assemblies for about 35- 40 bucks.

Boys and gurls,
I`m aware of everything you said up and I agree with that. But my main problem is that I just asked them to point me an ONLINE original spare parts seller so I can buy one ORIGINAL display. Thats all i asked from them. So noone from online stores are selling originals by their concept.
