[Fixed] Ear speaker and reversibility issue - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've just bought an Idol 6045O (cricket) from ebay and realized that I hear nothing when calling.
The earphones and loud speakers work just fine.
The thing is that I'm not sure it's a hardware issue, let me explain:
I thought that this phone is reversible which means: 2 ear speakers/ 2 microphones, so if there is an issue with one ear speaker/microphone, I can use the other one by simply reverse the phone.............but it won't reverse in phone calls, as soon as I dial a phone number (before answer) it reverses back, and it does same when I receive calls (before taking the call).
The reversible feature works fine with other apps.
I tried this without success:
Reset the phone
Flashing CyanogenMod 12.1 by The Marionette
Flashing Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 5.5 by The Marionette
Any help will be welcome
Thanks

[Q] Mic stops working mid-call

Hello everyone...
I recently purchased a used Huawei Y200 (U8655), and it came with a CyanogenMod 7.2 (unofficial)... Sometimes my microphone stops working just after a few words were exchanged with other person. I suspected that it could be a hardware issue, but Z - Device Test app says my mic is functioning normally. Can someone suggest a method to determine if it's hardware or software issue without purchasing a new mic for my phone?
PS: Does anyone know of good custom (preferably official) ROM for Huawei Y200?
Thanks

[Q] Microphone doesn't work. Even after exchange

Hi there! I've bought used Nexus 5 recently, and it had issue with microphone and cracked screen. So I ordered replacements on ebay, but when I've changed daughterboard (usb, mic, etc.), the problem remains. Everything work with both daughterboards except for the mic. And yes, i tried it with different ROMs. I can't complain about unfair seller, screen was rather good.
So, my question is: may there be another reason for mic not working, or it is nothing but defective daughterboard? I don't believe in such coincidences.
Can't get another device for test now, so i need for you help.
in-call mic not working
i'm having problems with my mic also after cracking a screen and replacing the screen then I cracked the new one and a few weeks later after I installed android L my in call mic broke my speaker phone will work but not the regular one but I have yet to find any solution I have factory reset and tried multipule roms Maybe a bootloader update I know there was in call problem on the 4.4.1 update due to the bootloader needing updated but I would think my speaker phone would not work if this was the case., I was thinking about putting my stock screen back on and trying to send it back but it was a present from my step dad so it might be a pain. I will let you know if I figure something out , Is yours al mics or just in call? does speaker phone work?
Speaker works. Only in-call mic seemed to be broken.
Same issue, after updating to lollipop my mic stop working
Hi, i have the same problem.
Did you solved it in the meantime?

[Q] Earpiece speaker stopped suddenly , no caller sound

Hi XDA members
Please, is there any solution for earpiece speaker which stopped after getting update XNPH38R OTA
My one plus one is ( Chinese import ) and it worked flawlessly all the past 3 months
I tried every thing , different builds , different kernels , developer roms but no luck
Calling can be made using external speaker which is very annoying , I am start hating the device :crying::crying:
Is this a hardware or software bug ?
I already orderd earpiece speaker from aliexpress
Thanks again for help
after some search about the problem I found that it is common in xiaomi headsets and the solution was very simple
just make a call to any one and gently tab the phone on a table and the problem resolved
so it is a hardware problem not a software bug

[Q] [LOLLIPOP] Phone calls broken with headphones only. Internal mic broken.

Hello,
Im running Lollipop stock if I make a phone call with my headphones with no mic plugged in, the other side tells me that they can't hear me . As soon as I unplug the headphone, sound is normal again. Its like as if the internal microphone on the phone is shut off. If I use the speakerphone on the phone without headphones then its fine. This was never a problem when using the latest Kitkat. This just started since I have upgraded to Lollipop on my Nexus 5. Is there a fix to return the behaviour as it was in Kitkat? Thanks.

Same here, and it's very annoying, but i don't think the mic is disabled because if i shout right into the microphone the person on the other side can hear me, but very feebly.
Sometimes, if i reboot the phone, it will work with no problem but i can't reboot every time i receive a call.
I'm also seeing this problem. I haven't checked if yelling works! It was fine on KitKat. I updated using the OTA and don't have root or any modifications.
Is it possible to report this to Google?

I think so, on Android bug tracker maybe. Too bad there is no right way to reproduce the issue every time.
I have the same issue withe 5.0 every time I am using my phone (N5 stock) with normal headphones.
I have also raised an issue in the Android issue tracker (Issue 80251 if you want to add updates to it)
Sadly I am a new user and I cannot post direct links yet
Same problem
I have the same issue. Person on the other end cannot hear me when I have headphones plugged in. It was fine before the update to lollipop.
Using a nexus 5
+1
My nexus 5 has the same issue. Hope this is fixed soon.
+1. I used to have a cool hands free in the car. Now I have to pick up the Phone. Not cool.
Anyone who tried 5.0.1 can tell if it has been fixed?
I am also having this issue since i upgraded to lollipop, I've tried rolling back to 4.4.4 and the microphone still doesn't. I even bought a new microphone usb port cable off ebay and replaced it with no luck
I have this problem now too..
All of a sudden I have this problem too. It's really weird. Mic doesn't work for voice typing or video recording. But if I start a phone call and turn speakerphone on, the mic does work for videos and voice typing! So its obviously a software bug (not a hardware problem).
I called Google Nexus support and they couldn't help me. So they sent me over to LG who also couldn't help. Is there any fix for this yet (besides factory reset!?)..
I just figured out how to fix the problem!! I made a youtube video to more easily demonstrate how to fix it. (It's an easy fix!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dPQKopQq9k (scroll to 1:46 to go straight to the fix).
Just worked OK on Android 5.1 on Nexus 5. So it looks like the software is now fixed.
Android 5.1 here, fresh install. I have this problem too, so it's not fixed in the firmware.

[Q] Z3 dual Sim Microphone problem

bought my Z3 dual sim 3 days ago and already getting upset about it.
Microphone is not working on a normal mode, people can not hear me or hear my voice very low.
It is working perfectly while using speakers mode.
I already tried to re install all system and once done microphone is working (even if not perfectly but people can hear at least what i am saying...) and after a while, it is like the microphone is getting an obturation...
I tried as well to unselect the noise control mode but no issues...
it seems to be a software issue.
Somebody can help me?
Android 5 could be able to solve this?
Thanks for your attention!
