[Completed] I cant root LG VS425PP to root. - XDA Assist

I have rooted this phone before. I was doing a software update in LG support tool. Well after my phone was reset. I was locked out for 2 or 3 days because of Google's reset protection thing because I had just changed my password. Anyway now my phone is back and works fine just will not root. I have tried everything. After that lock out it was unrooted. I have an LGVS425PP 5.1.1

[Completed] Rooted, then Unroot (turns out not completely)... Help!!

Hello, first off I have a Galaxy s3 SCH-I535, 4.3 software version. A few months back I rooted my phone, but. I decided to unroot it to get the 4.4.2 mostly because the "install software update now" screen kept, keeps on popping up every few hours. Sometimes not even an hour. I went to YouTube to check up on videos showing me how to unroot my phone. I found a user that supposedly showed how to unroot a phone without a computer. I followed his instructions and, technically, it worked. But I came to find out that his method didn't unroot my phone. I still can't update my software and I can't seem to be able to finish my uprooting. I even tried rerooting in order to unroot it by another mood but I can't do that either. When I try to reroot it with the "saferoot" method (which was the program I used to first root it) there is a sign that says "your kernel has being patched". It reinstalled SuperSU but the app says that it doesn't detect an SU binary. I'm lost. I really need help. I much much rather know how to finish my unrooting.

[Completed] Locked Out of Galaxy S5

So today I was using my galaxy s5 and I stopped for a while and when I went to unlock it I couldn't. The lock screen on my phone doesn't show the fingerprint scanner, next I tried my alternative password but it didn't work. Also I have tried the android device manager but it also didn't work. Usually it would give me the option to recover through google but it's not so right now Im screwed. Lastly I really don't want to factory reset.
Hi, thank you for using XDA assist. The best palce to ask is in your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5 They are the experts on your device. But it sounds to me like you'll have to do a factory reset and probably even need to flash the stock firmware in odin.
Exactly the same thing happened to me on S5 mini. Did you found any solutions?

[Completed] LG D800 help

I recently bought a "new" Unlocked LG D800 on eBay which came from China. I anticipated updating to Lollipop but it's stuck on 20k. Every time I try to update it via OTA it has a error code about being rooted and reboots. I've tried downloading SuperSU to unroot but it says there's no SU Binary installed. I tried the PC Suite and it says it's currently up to date. Can anyone lead me in the right direction so I can at least get to 20y? I'd like to stay away from root cause it's a new phone and I'm an amateur to rooting and afraid I'll brick. Any suggestions?

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Rooting will mean unlocking the bootloader (thus voiding any warranty), also it will wipe your data a second time, and may be even more thorough this time (making them unrecoverable - I would see it as a big fail if it didn't). So you will end up with a rooted phone, and likely no chance of getting your photos back.
At any rate, I am connecting this thread to the forum your device experts can be found:
