Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Rooting will mean unlocking the bootloader (thus voiding any warranty), also it will wipe your data a second time, and may be even more thorough this time (making them unrecoverable - I would see it as a big fail if it didn't). So you will end up with a rooted phone, and likely no chance of getting your photos back.
At any rate, I am connecting this thread to the forum your device experts can be found:

Hi Everyone, I forgot my lock for moto G 2nd gen mobile running with Lollypop 5.02. I dont want to hard reset the mobile and loose the data. Is there any way i can remove the lock code. Please assist me
Model : Moto G (2nd GEN)
OS : Android Lollypop 5.02 ver.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The only way to remove the password is to flash the stock firmware. And, yes, you will lose data. That's what the password is there for.
Hi..thanq for the reply..is there any way i can extract the data before resetting it. I can access the guest user account, can it help in any way to get the photos?
Again, that's what passwords are for. They're there so someone who doesn't have the password can't access the data. So the answer is no.

[Completed] No signal after flashing ROM in MOTO G 2014-XT1068(Indian version)HELP!!

Hi,
I have MOTO G 2014-XT1068(Indian version) i loved the device and especially after the lollipop update it was the best mobile.i thought of getting it rooted so as the tutorial says i unlocked the bootloader and the flashed the super su zip every thing went well but when i tried to reboot it ,it got stuck on the warning Bootloader unlocked so i thought of installing a custom rom, I chose Cynagenmod 12.1 unofficial, it rebooted, everything went well but when i inserted my SIM card it show no service. I researched about it and found that my modem or radio file is lost (correct me if i am wrong). The phone is dead, cant call anyone.....

[Completed] Moto G2 No OS Found!

On my Moto G2, I first unlocked the bootloader, then rooted it. Then i factory reset the phone using TWRP, that is wiped all data . After some days, my phone got an OTA update from 5.0.2 to same 5.0.2. After updating, the phone went into recovery mode(TWRP) and then I wiped the Cache. Now it says No OS found in TWRP. I have downloaded a pre-rooted rom(Stock_XT1068_22.21.28-ROM) and tried sideloading it. But it says error opening the package. I want to install any ROM for my device. Help !!!!

[Completed] I cant root LG VS425PP to root.

I have rooted this phone before. I was doing a software update in LG support tool. Well after my phone was reset. I was locked out for 2 or 3 days because of Google's reset protection thing because I had just changed my password. Anyway now my phone is back and works fine just will not root. I have tried everything. After that lock out it was unrooted. I have an LGVS425PP 5.1.1

[Completed] Root problem

Hello, guys!!
First of all: I'm Brazilian, so I'm sorry for my English.
Well...I have a MOTO G4 Plus and that's what happened:
I did that unlock on the motorola's website, when I turn the device on I get the message of the bootloader to wait 5 seconds to turn on and everything else and did the root with twrp.
It turns out that I wanted to remove root a little while ago and did it the wrong way, I do not remember for sure what I did (sorry!) =s
Now, I've been trying to upgrade to 7.0, and it just does not work. It download the update and reboot, but when it reboot enters direct in the TWRP, and it does not help reboot again. I've tried to do this process more than 3 times.
I also tried the factory reset and nothing.
An example: When I try to use snapchat (which does not work with root) it still does not work.
Root Checker has this message: Sorry "Root acceess is not properly installed on this device."
Anyway, I do not know what else to do. I REALLY want to reset the my phone and I do not know how to do it = s
Every time I try to reset it, connects again and goes straight into the TWRP
I already searched the internet for the solution and I did not find it.
Can someone help me PLEASE?
