Keyboard haptic feedback issue - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Anyone else having haptic feedback typing issue? When I start typing fast the haptic feedback would skip vibration. It doesn't always happen but it occurs enough for me to notice. It especially happens when the 5th row number keys are displayed. It doesn't mistype just skips the vibration so when your typing fast it feels like you missed a letter but actually didn't.
I consulted with Google support and they told me to reset the keyboard cache, reboot to safe mode and nothing works. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I had the same issue with SwiftKey and resolved it by setting the vibration duration to >= 15ms.

Yeah I tried it with swiftkey as well and had the issue. I just want the lowest ms feedback as possible. I wonder if it's hardware

Yeah, it seems the hardware is physically limited to certain duration, and any setting below that duration will cause some instability with the motor. I really don't like the vibrate motor of the pixel.

Very light haptic / vibration on Navigation buttons

I turned on Vibrate on Touch in the settings, but the haptic feedback on the Navigation buttons, and long-presses is extremely light. On notifications it is fine, and when I set the vibration length on the keyboard to 15+ms it is fine.
It's as if the haptic feedback for system purposes is set to around 5ms or something. Any thoughts?
you're probably right in that it's just different time setups for system haptic feedback
(first thing i turned off ymmv)
Do you have any idea where I could find the vibration length for haptic on the system level?

seems like that might be limited to a thing for custom roms, if at all
i honestly don't know, sorry

vibration feedback changes by itself since marshmallow

anyone else encounter this? all of the sudden by haptic feedback intensity will either get more intense or less all on its own. when i go into vibration intensity, the setting is the same and the slider hasnt moved. i then have to move slider up t get it back to normal. very annoying. any thoughts?

Vibration options

I see some old posts, but wonder if there is anything new. I just got an S2. Is there any way to have the vibrations for messages occur more than once? Is there a way to have each notification vibration have a longer vibration time, since each vibration is quite weak? Thanks

Haptic feedback issue

Have noticed for the past 4 days that the fingerprint haptic feedback is not vibrating for the correct fingerprint but vibrating for the wrong one. Gboard vibrations work only when the vibration strength is increased beyond the zero mark, that is does not work on system default vibrations. The back key vibration is also not working. No battery saver mode is active, vibration in sound as well as Accessibility are switched on. Vibration working fine for incoming calls and messages. Anyone facing the same issue and has found any fix??

Wow, I've been having similar issues and it's been driving me crazy. For me it's not that vibration only works for some things and not for others, it's that it stops working for everything periodically, and comes back after a while. Are you on the February Pie update? I wonder that could be the issue.

Question Vibration is very weak - any way to improve it?

Compared to prior Samsung devices, I find the vibration motor very very weak. In fact I literally just missed a call when the phone was on my desk next to me because sound was off and only vibration was on!
Anyone know a way to increase it beyond max? Any apps out there?
vibration motor is hardware-based so maybe be it's not possible. but you can try by searching the vibration option in settings, many tech reviewers said so
Samsung changed to x-axis (from previous models' z-axis vibration motor).
Better haptic feedback in hand/ when typing maybe (as motor now located in lower half of handset) but vibration intensity seems less, especially when handset resting in table, etc.
