Does anybody have experience recovering a Verizon S3 using JOdin3?
Phone environment:
Stock Jellybean OS
Rooted (w/ towelroot)
SuperSU installed
TWRP installed
Computer:
Mac OSX 10.12 Sierra
After rooting and installing TWRP, I deleted all "knox" files which I thought was what was preventing me from booting from recovery, apparently that's not the case and only made my situation worse. Now when I reboot, the Verizon screen stays stuck and the only option I am now left with is booting in Odin mode.
So far I have JOdin3 and Oracle Java JRE installed on my Mac, but OSX 10.12 is not accepting the Heimdall install. When I try to run JOdin, my device is not recognized and I get the following screen:

HI, Im trying to finally flash Android M on my Xperia M2, but when i write the command to flash, it stays forever with `waiting for deviceĀ“. I have searched and created a file to determine the access to my device when its in fastboot mode. Concretly, the file is called androidrules (not exactly, but it is his main name). I created the file with vi editor because it is the only tool that can be used to create it, and i have added the `rulesĀ“ for an xperia device with each id vendor and my user name, but it stays the same.
However, i have fastboot drivers installed and it detects my phone when i type sudo fastboot devices. I don know what happens....
Im using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit on VmWare Workstation.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? :crying:

I recently messed up with my phone and tried to install the xposed framework whilst being stupid enough to forget that it has problems if there is not a custom ROM install. (Thats what it said on a post anyways) After countless hours of messing with the phone trying to recover it through ODIN I went into download mode once more and was met with (An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency Recovery function in the Smart switch PC Software.) When i try to use the Recovery function after entering the Model and the Serial Number i get past the first initialization stage (

My Story:
Hey, I'm trying to root this phone, and nothing I've tried is working.
I've tried Kingoapp, One Click Root, and now I've tried the CF-Auto-Root Odin solution.
I'm in the proper Odin mode, on my phone, and I've even installed the Android SDK with the Google USB Driver.
My phone is definitely connecting to my PC, and is being detected by the Odin software.
My cables have been swapped, and various USB ports have been tried.
At this point, I don't know what else to do.
Screenshot attached, below, and advice is appreciated. Thanks, guys!

So what do you want,if you want to go to stock then just use msm tool for your device.
Currently stock and "up-to-date".
I've tried a few different versions of ODIN and TWRP. Odin starts but never proceeds to finish. I've let it go for an hour even though I know it shouldn't take that long for an 8 MB file. Task manager has ODIN at 0% CPU usage. IDK what to try.

edit:
Solved - For future peoples with similar issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Samsung Drivers and tried several different USB ports. Eventually it worked. TWRP installed with ODIN, flashed LineageOS with TWRP. Good Luck.
Yep known solutions .
Samsung Drivers .USB port and non Samsung USB cable for that problem
