Today I confronted a strange problem. My friend tried to sync our firm calendar to his tablet and said that it does not do anything. I have shared the calendar to his google account. His phone show the calendar just fine, but in his tablet there is not even an option in his google account settings to sync calendar. What could do this, and is there something to fix it? He can use the calendar by google chrome with his tablet, but it would be easier to use it with some android application.

Seriously I can't imagine why Google haven't implemented this function.
I have a first gen iPod Touch with a very old version of iOS and it does that very well!
I know you can subscribe to an agenda via Google Agenda but it is updated every 65465465 years (exaggerating a bit )
I know there apps for that but NOT FREE !
So does anyone know a SIMPLE way to subscribe to a calendar directly from the phone and with which I can update the calendar directly FROM THE PHONE and when I WANT, not when Google decides to update the calendar?
We are in version 4, c'mon Google !
Wow - Google has a help document exactly for that.
Hint: Do it from a browser.

Ok but that doesn't really help.
I've searched a lot before I opened this thread and I haven't found any document. (ony people complaining about this...)
I've got a calendar that is like this
h ttp://xyz.xyz/agendas/ical.php?ical=123456789
I just want to import that in Android's calendar and not in Google calendar's website.
Can you explain a little bit more please?
Thanks.
Subscribe to the calendar on calendar.google.com and it will show up on your phone (google calendar syncs with android calendar). You can't do this from your android device.
I said in my first post that I don't want to do this method because it only updates when it wants and no when I want
I don't think there is a real method to do it
Thanks anyway
Hi,
I've searched google for some days but I havent found anything to solve my problem!
The problem is: I have an exchange mail account at my firm and some colleagues create calender appointments with attachments in Outlook because I'm on the road 3-days a week.
I wanted to look at the attachments but no calender shows them, I tried several calender app on my Galaxy S4 for example: the Stock "S-Planner"App, google Calender App, Kalendi, and so on.
None of the above mentioned apps are able to show me the attachments.
Can you tell me if there is a workaround or if I have to change my settings in some how to view the attachments?
I would be very glad if someone could help me with this.
By the way, I hope I choose the right Forum to ask my question, if not then I'm really sorry and please move the Topic to the correct Forum (if thats even possible)
Thx to all who answers or tries to help.
Nik
Hey fellows,
I don't know whether I should be here or not?
I don't know whether I belong to this community or not?
I have come here as a last resort.
But I would be glad and grateful if you guys could help me with my problem.
My android device: Coolpad Dazen1
History of my Problem: I bought the device on Snapdeal. I already have one Samsung Galaxy S4. So I was quite acquainted with the Android OS. I started the device properly and registered a gmail account. Connected to the wifi. And could browse the internet.
However I could not sign-in to the Google playstore. It keeps saying
"Check your connection and try again. Retry" And if I press the Retry option it keeps on saying the same thing.
Other associated problems: Though I can browse the internet, I can't login to any email accounts. I can't use any Google services. However, I can logon to my gmail accounts & Google playstore on my laptop.
The remedial measures I took:
I cleared the Google playstore cache
I deleted the Host file
I reset the phone
Tried different email accounts new & old
I installed another browser, firefox, and tried to signin to the Google Playstore but with no use
I contacted the Google Services and discussed the problem with the technical expert. The person said, even after all these measures, if the problem persists, then it is not the problem with the Google Services. The problem is there in the device, so contact the device services.
When I contacted the Device services. The person said; since the device is connecting properly to the internet, the problem is not in the device or the OS. The problem is with the Google services.
I have come here with the hope that you knowledgeable persons could help me out of this situation.
I would appreciate and be grateful for any help extended.
Thank you
Anil

Good luck!
For clarification: I've already found the appropriate forum but I just joined so I need a higher post count. It pointed me here; albeit, I'll take help from anywhere. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lg-g-padx)
My device is using Android 6.0.1. I can log into Google accounts just fine on the main account on the device, but when I log into the restricted one Drive tells me that there are no existing accounts. From there, I went to the Google accounts application, and the appropriate account is there for me to log into, but when I press it, it disappears. Don't know if that is an active bug, or a dumb way of Android Marshmallow telling me I can't do that. Is there a way I can accomplish logging into Google accounts on my local restricted account, or do I need alternative methods, such as, a specific mod/OS? Mind that this is a brand new device.

Good morning!
I have been looking for a calendar for a long time, but can't seem to find one that is simple, standalone and works without google or any other pre-existing stock calendar app.
It seems odd to me that such an app doesn't exist at all, hence my question to you.
I have tried several "offline" calendar apps, such as simple calendar (layout was so small to the point that it is unreadable) and offline calendar (can't create a calendar)
Is there a standalone (offline) calendar app? it doesn't matter if it is paid or not.
I am currently running Cyanogenmod 13.0 (android 6.01) on a rooted zuk z2 device.
Any suggestion is appreciated!
Hi there and welcome to assist,
Offline calendar app is excel sheets. You cannot find any better option than that. Well just a simple question why you want something offline when the world is moving towards online.
I would recommend you to go for online option even if not a paid ones there are a lots of free online tools that could manage your todos featuring with the calendar applications.
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
Good luck
