[Completed] LG G Pad X 8.0 cannot log in to Google accounts in restricted user account. - XDA Assist

For clarification: I've already found the appropriate forum but I just joined so I need a higher post count. It pointed me here; albeit, I'll take help from anywhere. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lg-g-padx)
My device is using Android 6.0.1. I can log into Google accounts just fine on the main account on the device, but when I log into the restricted one Drive tells me that there are no existing accounts. From there, I went to the Google accounts application, and the appropriate account is there for me to log into, but when I press it, it disappears. Don't know if that is an active bug, or a dumb way of Android Marshmallow telling me I can't do that. Is there a way I can accomplish logging into Google accounts on my local restricted account, or do I need alternative methods, such as, a specific mod/OS? Mind that this is a brand new device.

[Q] Change google account

I'm trying to change the google account linked with my android phone but at the same time, keep all of the applications that I have gotten. I also do not want to have a factory reset and I have only bought one application. Or, if it would be easier, could I just keep the android market linked to my old google account and make everything else linked to my new one?

[Q] Google Account Comptimised - Gmail and Gtalk dont function now

My house mate has an un-rooted HTC Sensation. Recently when going to Gmail on her PC browser she got some kind of message about her account had been accessed from another country and she needed to verify via call or text.
She verified via text and I think changed her password.
Now, Gmail doesn't notify her of new mails, she has to go in and refresh. Also, trying to open Talk means a black screen appears and within a split second it closes, no errors.
I've tried clearing data on all Google apps. I would remove the account and re-add it, but it says I can't as apps are tied to the account.
Any ideas what has happened and how it can be fixed?
Give the Accounts help page a try.

Thanks, but I can't really select any of those. Logging in is fine.
(How do I correct my spelling error in the thread title! lol )
You might be better off using her PC in that case.
I selected option 2 from the original link (I think someone else is using my account) and it lead to this:-
If you still have access to the email address you use to sign in, visit our password assistance page to reset your password and to prevent anyone else from accessing your account again in the future.
Note that resetting your password requires your account recovery options. If your options aren't suitable to reset your password, click the link to the account recovery form (learn more) which will appear at the bottom of the recovery options page.

and then to this
Account recovery form
If you find yourself locked out of your account and none of your other recovery options work, your last option is to visit our password assistance page, and click the link underneath the recovery options to verify your identity. This will take you to our account recovery form.
Take time to fill out each section of the form to the best of your ability. It was designed to ensure that no one can gain access to your account except you.
For example, if you use Gmail, you can provide the verification code you received when you first created your account. The verification code is a unique set of letters and numbers that identifies you as the creator and owner of your Gmail address. Since Google doesn't collect a lot of information about you when you sign up for an account, we will also ask you questions like when you created your account, what Google services you use, and who you email frequently (if you use Gmail).
If you fill out the recovery form and aren't successful on the first try, you can try again. Make sure to wait until you receive our reply before you submit another report. Important: Try to provide as much information as possible on each attempt. Each submission is evaluated independently.
If you're unable to recover access to your account using the recovery form, you can create a new account. Gmail usernames cannot be recreated, so if you were using Gmail, please pick a new username.

What I'm saying is, none of them apply. She's reset/changed her password now and can use her account no problem. The issue is app/phone related.
I have started a new thread in the mobile section of the Google help forum though, thanks.
Right I'm with you. Confusion rules!

[Completed] Managing Multiple Devices

Hi, I'm deploying 150 Android devices as handheld scanners for my staff here, I have logged each one in under the same Google Play account, but the first devices I deployed are asking to be re-verified with Google. Is there a way to increase the number of devices allowed under a single Google account? These devices are not linked to specific users, and do not have email addresses associated to them, so I cannot use a separate google account for each. Is there an upgrade to my account that is possible? Or is there a better way?
Thanks.

How to remove 2nd gmail account from Android

Hello. I had 2 Gmail accounts. I closed one. When I try to open that one on my computer it s gone. So that s ok.
I had both accounts on my Android Lenovo K 3 note phone.
There are still both accounts. It is giving me option to remove one but it s not working. I tried everything but there are still both accounts when I open Gmail on my phone.
Can please somebody help me how to remove that account which don t exsist anymore!?
Thanks, Robert
What on earth does this have to do with Xposed Framework? Really!
Go into Settings, then find Accounts. That should list both Google accounts (and possibly others). Select and then delete the one you don't use any more.
Sorry I posted this question in wrong forum. We re not everybody from English language states, we re not everyboday experts for language. I tried the best to find right forum (as I m asking about Gmail I thought "App Support Forums" would be the right forum). Also we re not everybody experts for computers, phones...
If you can be so good please tell me which forum is right for this type of question???

You most likely need to do a factory reset, wiping data. Then sign in using the correct account.
Try to delete all Google accounts and than add only one that you use.

Android Multi User and Google-Find-MyDevice (FMD)

hi
I have 2 User profiles in my phone for various reasons...
Both profiles use the same gmail account..
When I do that on the Google Find My Device portal 2 devices show up with the exact same name, for each profile..
Is there a way to control the "name" of the profile, so I can differentiate between the two or just have it show only the admin profile, on FMD.
I think this problem will also occur on the web version on the Google Playstore...

FWIW: I am on Lineage 18.1 with the latest opengapps.

As far as I know, Find My Device is associated to the Google account that is signed in on the device, not to user accounts on the device. If you want to have separate accounts on the device and have Find My Device be able to differentiate between the two accounts, you will need to create a separate Google account and have both Google accounts signed in on the device with one user account associated to your original Google account and the secondary Google account associated to your other user account. Then, when you use Find My Device, it will be able to find each account separately but will probably only show whichever account you are actually logged into at the time, you'd probably have to switch to the other account in order for Find My Device to show that device. In other words, when using Find My Device, you will only be able to see the account that you are currently signed into the device with at that time but not the other account unless you log into that account and then it probably won't be able to see the other account that you just signed out of.
