[Q] International S5 to US

I'm trying to figure out if an S5 bought in India would work here in the US on sprint. Family over in India sent one over and didn't consider the potential band/frequency issues. It hasn't arrived yet but I am hesitant to use it considering Samsung's region lock etc. Anyone have any experience? Can it be rooted / flashed and work ok on sprint?
I searched around on the forum seeking an answer and I didn't find anything specifically explaining yea or nay. Closest I got was :

New model?

Has anybody heard about this? I've been trying to buy the NotePro here in Ireland but Currys/PcWorld are all out and have told me it's probably due to a new model about to be released.

[Radio] D821 phone with wrong LTE bands (USA)

Hi all,
I hope to find a solution to a very strange problem I face. Sometime ago I bought a Nexus 5 D821. Th process was a little bit confusing, as I ordered the phone from eglobal (a chinese merchant), and the phone was delivered from the UK. until I faced my current problems, the phone worked quite nicely, so I cannot tell anything bad yet. However, recently I got a new mobile contract, which supports LTE (Vodafone Germany), but I am not able to connect to any LTE Band here. As it turns out, my phone, which in fact is the D821 Version, does only support the US LTE Bands 25, 26 and 41. I can only suppose that something strange happend during the manufacturing process, maybe this European phone should have been sold on the US market, so they patched it or something like that.
As I'm pretty sure, first you will think, well he got a D820, so whats this guy's problem, so I add some screenshot recently taken, which come from my phone. (I will add the images, once I figure out how it works.)
My Question is, is there any way to get the Europe Bands work on my phone. I found certain threads, discussing how to enable different bands on other phone versions, e.g. enable band 3 on D820, but that is not my use case.
As I understood it correctly, my hardware should support the European bands. If there really is a hardware difference, I guess that my phone neither will work on US LTE bands.
I can only speculate, so is it possible that someone extracts a certain file out of a D821, which I can flash to my phone? I read something about qnx files, which are also used to enable other bands. I think I'm quite skilled to do some further research, if someone can point me into the right direction. E.g. where can I find the configuration of the bands, is this somewhere in /proc filesystem? My phone is rooted and I'm familiar with linux and its commands. I bet it would take ages to gather all the necessary information on my own, unfortunately I do not have the time, so I though it would be beneficial to ask here for some help.
However, I would highly appreciate your comments, suggestions and any kind of help you could provide.
Best regards,

[ Q ] will S6 bought from the Samsung Philippines work with T-Mobile?

I forgot to get the actual model number but I guess it's the international version? In any case, does anybody have an actual experience of bringing an unlocked S6 bought directly from Samsung to t-mobile? I'm trying to figure that out. Don't want to get back to the states and find out it doesn't fully work on some/all T-Mobile bands.
Ah never mind, I found it. It is sm-g920fd. Should have used searched first. Looks like it will work with T-Mobile, just incase anybody reading this is searching too.

Warranty limited to one country only. How do brands check it?

Hi,
I wasn't sure where posting this but I guess this is the best place since it's probably a software matter.
I wonder how brands such as Samsung can figure out what country a phone was bought if you change the rom to another country. I know that they can use the CSC but what else?
For example, I have a phone from Thailand that I want to fix in Egypt. Would they really check the origin?
How the whole process works. I'm both interested and curious to know a bit more about it.
Thanks for your answers.
