[Completed] SM-J320PVP1AUH2 custom binary lock help? - XDA Assist

Hello everyone,
Ok here is the deal... My J320P has been running strong, it has TWRP, with 3 good recoveries that I can't use at all and Xposed framwork and from there it keeps on with the modules, but all that stopped because I wanted to try something the trick the system involving me to shut off Dev options and OEM.. Bad idea. Didn't take them long, and bam.. I got custom binary locked from the start of the power button. Is there any thing I can do to keep from flashing everything stock? I have done it before.. Just hoping there is a way that doesn't allow internal storage deletion/formatting? Because I hear it not possible to in my case with the mistake I had made in turning the 1st step off in rooting lol. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

[Q] Need help. Bricked My phone

OK so, I'm not a super noob but I'm also not an expert so I may understand certain terms.
Thank you so much for reading this and this thread is awesome because like me people out there really need help.
Really appreciate the work done here.
I usually follow you guys tutorials and stuff and always manage to come out successful without making a post like this one.
But I got to tell you this phone got me beat.
SO here we go.
I purchased a chinese mobile device, specifically a Tethin TX300 and after messing around with it I changed permission to the system/app folder and now it's stuck in a boot loop. Can anyone help? Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks
Isn't it possible to access the recovery on the phone to do a device reset?..
Thank you for your fast answer. Yes it is possible to access recovery mode. I have already tried to do a factory reset/wipe data but that didn't help. Any other ideas? Is it possible to restore permissions using adb ? Thanks

[Completed] [Q] Problems with SuperSU SU Binaries on LG G2

Hello there.
I have been trying to learn and use custom ROMs on my LG G2 for a couple of weeks now, so far I haven't been doing too well. Luckily, smarter people than I on this forum have always brought me back from the brink of me causing a nuclear meltdown on my phone! Especially:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
Today, when I received an automatic update to SuperSU, a notification appeared in my notification shade informing me that my "SU Binaries Needed to be Updated!". I tapped on it, wanting to know more about these binaries that apparently required an update. This opened up the SuperSU app on my phone with a pop-up that also said the the SU binaries needed to be updated; I tapped continue. Another pop-up appeared telling me that if I had TWRP the binaries could possibly be updated through it (A "normal" option was also shown). My eager and naive mind chose to update via TWRP. My eagerness grew as my LG G2 booted into TWRP and seemed to install something. During this process, the phone rebooted again and my phone seemed to be just fine for ~1 minute.
Mission Accomplished!
Nope. To my utter horror (Though it was kind of expected) the phone force rebooted into TWRP again and attempts at rebooting to system have been met with being booted right back into TWRP. A factory reset had no effect as well. Following pattern, I made my way back to XDA and sniffed around for a while trying to find a thread where people had experienced something similar to myself. Unfortunately (or rather fortunately ), no one had. Then, I thought back to the post I posted above. FOTA is "firmware over the air" doesn't it? Could the command listed in the above post get me back to stock? Like I said before I'm a huge noob with a final goal of actually being able to contribute to XDA and others in the future. The key phrase being "I am a huge noob".
Minimal Information About The Phone (I am so sorry)
Android 4.4.2 Stock (Rooted)
Rooted With TowelRoot as I wanted to see if it actually worked
Installed TWRP with AutoRec (I'll link it below)
SuperSU as Root Manager (Installed from Play Store)
Verizon Model (VS980)
My Internal Storage was deleted about a week ago and I unfortunately did not make an NAndroid backup before I made this foray into unknown territory, I am terrible.

Thank you so much for reading all of that, if you did! If you have any suggestions/links to any good tutorials for LG G2 ROMs they would be greatly appreciated! I have had some trouble with CM 11 in the past, but I think that was due to my own personal failings.

Hey there!
Sorry for not responding to you for so long! I ended up using the FOTA command from the link I posted above and it worked like a charm! (Though it did once again delete my data ) Currently reinstalling everything and making an nandroid backup. Thank you for providing me with the help forums as well, they are quite good at what they do! Happy Sunday! Cheers!
Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] TWRP Bootloop

Hi XDA. I'm having a really stressful problem right now. Yesterday I rooted my Nexus 6 to Cyanogenmod 12, adding up to installing TWRP. I had fun rooting it all the way and messing around with full control of my device. Until I noticed that, T-Mobile has found out that my Nexus was rooted! As I was having issues with the IMEI of my phone, I couldn't receive and make phone calls. So I went to The Unlockr website and they taught me how to unroot my Nexus 6 and how to flash it back to stock mode. And so I did. I flashed it back to Stock... I thought this was the day the phone would shine bright and reset as stock... But no... TWRP recovery (Teamwin) keeps bootlooping endlessly, leaving me paranoid, into thinking "WTF SHOULD I DO NOW" I want to know what is wrong and what should I do to solve this enormous annoying issue... Please answer back, I'll be in deep trouble if my family knows that my phone is going haywire, and I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money to replace my phone for another one... I need help guys.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think the best place for your question would be the Nexus 6 help thread here:

Hi, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I'm interested in what you mean by "crushed." Sounds like something physical was done to it.
At any rate, unfortunately, we currently do not have a forum (or a tag) for your device. but there is a general-purpose thread. Please go ahead and register for an account, so you can post i other forums. From there, you will probably have best luck with the foll.owing thread:
> General discussion > Questions and Answers > [Q] panasonic p55
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Yeah, it sounds like the internal memory got borked, and without adb your options are quite limited.
As mentioned before, I would explain your predicament in the above thread (I see you have posted there already, can just edit the post to add the predicament). There won't be much of an audience, but it is better than the general help thread (and you have the advantage of bouncing ideas off someone who has the same device as you).
Hope this helps.
Thank you.

i have one more question again if you might know it. Today i got one of my friends phone(same as mine) and i did a back up work from system recovery mode and then used it to restore on my phone but an error occured again saying 'checksum compare fail' when i tried to restore the back up file. And by the way i am not sure how to use the ADB so can u help me send an easy steps to use it? Or maybe a link to it will be good enough.
With all my heart i thank you for your kind support.

Not sure about the checksum compare fail (sometimes backups are specific to the serial number of the device), but here is info on adb:

[Completed] Need help with fastboot

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I'm looking for someone who can help me with step by step to uhh... fix my phone. It's a Lenovo s650 and I have tried to flash it via fastboot, but to no avail. And because of that, I'm here now. Please take a note that I'm not that good with these things so please bear with me. Anyhow, the phone is now kinda retarded. You know those pop ups, saying that something has stopped working, yeah... basically, I'm getting spammed by em'. So, there's no time really for me to do anything on the phone like going to the settings or even changing the usb mode to debugging without being bombarded by em' every sec. Thus, the reason why I want to flash it. (cause I think flashing is like turning them back to beginning, like after a reset?) Oh, and before that I have already tried hard reset. That, of course, didn't work. :crying:
Please help
P.S. Sorry if something is wrong with my English. But I hope it's adequate enough for you guys to understand what I'm trying to say.
