For MIUI8 multilingual V.6.7.7 Is a whole new Rom...so for that u will need only Philz recovery to be installed on ur phone...then follow usual procedure, means wipe data,dalvik & cache....in custom format option format system...then flash ROM....no need to flash GAPPS separately but for loud sound u will need provided sound patch which u can flash after First boot.

Bro atleast read some previous quotes already answered your question....and the reason why I gave latest V.6.7.7 as whole Rom bcoz Previous Rom has some glitches which I have fixed in Providing OTAs but drawback was Chinese Theme store & Original Chinese Video & Music App consumes Data which loads & updates Chinese ****....which every user annoys....so Decided to use Xiaomi.eu build in which they have fixed all.So NO more Chinese stuff inspite of China ROM.
However this China Rom might be the last.... thereafter will work on Global Stable (Beta) V.6.7.5 yet to come on 11th July.

Strange error... nobody has came across such bug yet.hope u complete first boot without inserting SIM & not connecting to WIFI.

Previously I have flashed 6.6.30 n created an mi account on my a350 nd now i am receiving that msg when I don connect to any network and wen I connect to wifi then imei error comes and I m stuck..

Yes u will stuck dere....coz Mi account will be logged in Only when ur device has Valid IMEI....after First boot very first thing u need to do is to restore ur IMEI...after that restart ur device & ur now able to log in with Mi Account.

Actually boot complete hi ni ho paa rahi cuz of that issue,

The Leagoo M8 is an entry level 5.7" Smartphone running on the MT6580A SOC with 2GB of RAM. Like many budget devices, the Leagoo M8 has decent hardware for the money, but suffers from a poor software experience and too much bloat. I created this project to share a more lightweight and clean software experience so we can get the most out of our device without too much effort
Important note! I am NOT a developer. Don't expect me to know how to recompile a kernel or anything. I'm just a lazy user who has been using Android for a while and much prefers a clean, AOSP-style look and feel There are a few technical issues which are outside of my reach, so if anyone is able to help, please feel free to reach out.
Disclaimer! I am not responsible for any damages you may do to yourself or your device by modifying your device!
What's Working:
- Everything, except some silly Leagoo features which I removed (eg. Supershot, screen recording).
Known issues:
Same issues as stock Freeme OS. Nothing serious and definitely OK as a daily driver, but the following annoy me the most. If anyone is able to suggest fixes, please comment below!
1. Onscreen Softkeys are misconfigured. I'd like to at least re-map the recents button back to recents, and change the long press of recents to menu. Recents should not be a menu button.... this may require recompiling SystemUI.apk (I think) which is out of my depth
2. The fingerprint sensor is silly. Sometimes it won't recognise my finger, despite me adding the same finger three times, and other times the fingerprint sensor is active when using it, and it will trigger some actions if I touch it by accident (eg. when using Chrome it will open the menu, and other time it will just vibrate the phone - strange).
3. Wi-Fi performance and 3G performance are low compared to other devices. Not sure if this can be fixed by software.
4. There are limited language options. I would like to see English (Australia) for example, but this is not a big deal
5. Considering replacing stock Phone and Contacts apps with Google equivalent from Play Store. Will test first.
6. At 10% battery a prompt will appear which asks whether you want to enable "superPowerSave mode" which is a really badly done version of Samsung's Ultra Power Saver mode, which I removed, so clicking OK does nothing. Would be nice to remove this prompt somehow.
Install Instructions:
Since I am lazy, I have just packaged it as a TWRP backup. Root is not included by default, but you can flash SuperSU in TWRP if you like.
1. Install TWRP 3.0.2 on your device via SPFlashTools (If you haven't done so already, download link provided)
2. Download ROM package, unpack archive, and copy contents to /sdcard of the device internal storage
3. Restore the TWRP backup. This will wipe /system, /data and /boot for you, so there is no need to factory reset.
4. Flash SuperSU package from "Extras" folder for Root access (optional)
5. Wipe internal storage to clear up internal storage (optional)
6. Reboot, wait at least 10 minutes for first boot - it takes a while

I can't say I tested much before and after (I couldn't stand the bloat lol), but it definitely feels a lot more responsive, and I am getting good battery life now - around 6hrs SOT today, few phone calls, but mostly messaging and reddit/facebook and a bit of book reading. I'm very happy so far. There are reviews where people were saying they were getting a lot less SOT than that, so I think it's an improvement.
Next thing I'll add to my wish list is to integrate the Google Dialer and Google Contacts app from the play store to replace the stock Android 6.0 apps, assuming that they work well during my testing on this device. They have a couple more features and being linked to the play store means that as Google adds more features and improves functionality, the ROM will automatically get those updates.

Edit: was getting some strange issues with Xposed so uninstalled it. For example, my recents key disappeared randomly after a reboot :/

I enjoy this lazy man ROM alot. I have enough juice to make my day. Thank you stephend. I'll advise you a to switch to this ROM.

I've try many times, with or without battery, after plug in the status bar goes 100% red downloading and after 5 seconds gives the error.
In the proccess from scatter file i've checked only the recovery file is that correct?

You don't have to check any thing just the recovery okay. I don't understand what's going on with your phone. Use another computer.

Actually i did.
I've tried on win 10 x64 and win 7 x86 provided the drivers you gave me, same thing :S

Reinstall
Reinstall the driver. I used a Windows 7 to flash the recovery.

I actually did it!
The problem was in the "how to" engage the process.
I was pressing both volume buttons and then plug in the phone in the computer.
It worked with just plug in the phone!
I did it on windows 10 x64

Yes, mediatek phones are a bit funny, all you have to do is click download and then connect the device whilst it is powered off and it will just flash away, no button pressing needed.
I really would like to re-arrange these on-screen buttons though. Preferably on a system level by editing an XML file. Anyone know how to do this?
Edit: Also, has anyone lost vibration after flashing my deblotated ROM? I've just noticed my phone doesn't vibrate, but I think it might be hardware.

when i go to security options settings app crashes
cant setup fingerprint id
oh now it works after playing with the instalation settings

Other problems:
-Does not detect micro sd
-You can not configure a screen lock method (settings close when you try to enter that section)
-Developer options can not be activated (the settings are closed when you press compile)
Those problems are what happened to me, I followed the installation instructions exactly as it says in the post

thanks for the rom!
followed the install instructions except i didn't install the TWRP321_OREO_P20LITE.rar because i previously installed it following these instructions.
chose to install the custom kernel and SuperSU. not sure right now what else. i will write it down when i try the next build.
i encountered the following issues:
-error finishing the installation: set_perm: some changes failed during flashing (could this be because i didn't install your modded TWRP?)
-unable to set the lockscreen options
-unable to set up fingerprintid
-settings crashes when attempting to enable dev options
-sd card isn't detected within the fw
once i saw the sdcard isn't detected, i tried to recover from my latest backup but TWRP wasn't able because /system was only mounted as read-only (could this be as well because i didn't install your modded TWRP?).
ended up having to reflash stock from erecovery, rerooting and reinstalling TWRP in order to restore from my last backup (maybe i did something wrong?).
after reading the features list, i personally would use it as my main rom. i'd love to see it with viper4android included and with an all dark theme though but that's just me.

Well, if you eliminate the fact that the fingerprint reader or any other screen lock method does not work, you can not use the micro sd and the developer options are not available. So yes, the rom works.
You can try to urge it, maybe you're lucky and do not have mistakes.

Nope, so far I haven't seen anyone reporting positively. No fingerprintid and no security features makes the rom pretty much unusable as far as I've tested and seen on the thread. I'm awaiting to see how this develops..

This rom is working prefectly.. i have keep on trying to re install the rom.I always follow the exact instruction, and i have found out. You will have a set_perm: some changes failed. IF you mark check the navbar, and status bar while in aroma installer.. I have able to use everything. Ill try to make a screenshot of it.

YES. I HAVE FLASH THE RECOVERY. AND WHEN YOU FIRST DO THAT... AND YOU SHOULD PUT THE ROM INTO YOUR SD CARD..
YES, IF YOU MARK CHECK THE NAVBAR ANF STATSBAR. WHILE CHOOSING YOUR DESIRED APPS. YOU WILL SEE THAT IN THE VERY LAST PAGE OF THE AROMA INSTALLER. WHERE YOU HAVE THE OPTIONS. so far i'm still getting all my apps installed. i'll letcha know how i get on with it.
edit2: as i am stubborn, i reflashed the rom with the custom kernel and Magisk. root is on and the phone seems to run smoothly.

i had that plus overheating but after what i did in edit2 it was gone and the phone runs smoothly.
on another note: is it possible to make this rom have init.d support somehow? it'd be cool for stuff like Liveboot..

1. First Important Step is to Backup (though depends on you if you wanna be safe or no )
2. extract the ROM.zip
3. extract the fastboot Rom installer zip (download link below)
4. take the payload.bin and copy it to input folder of payload_dumper-win64
5. run the payload_dumper.exe
6. take all the *.img files from output and paste it outer folder with adb, fastboot and etc files
For clean flash
7. reboot to fastboot, (sometimes it doesn't work from bootloader so try going 'fastboot' from recovery)
8. run ROMinstaller.bat (see NOTES below), if it get stuck try rebooting to fastboot again while script is on
9. factory reset from recovery
10. reboot
For update/dirty flash
7. authorize phone for adb while normally booted
8. run updateKEEPdata.bat (remove the flash recovery line from script or use new uploaded)
9. reboot
NOTES:
1) recovery from v2 zip seems working fine, so should not have any issues
2) If the script feels stuck or unresponsive, try pressing enter after clicking on the script window.
3) It does use pixel experience recovery for now so do not freak out
4) if dirty flash not works, clean flash should work

Installed on a OP8 Pro just to test out Visible (Verizon MVNO) carrier compatibility. Sim card is seen as "Visible" but Network Settings is grayed out and there's no other connection.
Posted mostly for the sake of others that are on the same quest as I to get off of stock rom and use Visible that may be curious.

well, this build is for oneplus 8, and not 8 pro or 8 t. I only tested it on op8 myself

Sorry, I wasn't trying to signal it wasn't going to work, but purely wanted to see if it had the Verizon / Visible compatibility included. I'm learning quite a bit about what goes into carrier configuration and realize that expecting a ROM to have compatibility with a carrier that (I believe) requires specific vendor files above and beyond the APN settings isn't really practical.
FWIW though, it did install and boot on OP8 Pro anyway, so there's that.

I see, no problem, no guarantee but I'll keep an eye out for that

I am also having problems with my Verizon sim on my op8. I can receive calls actually, just can't call someone from my end. I can only send texts if I use the Verizon messages app. Idk if it's just certain sim cards but that's what's happening for me. Hopefully this can be fixed. But overall a great build!

So your on Verizon A11 and have data/signal on this build? If it's wompy you probably just need to add correct apn's.

HHi. It is one of the few ROMs that I have not been able to detect failures. The bluetooth works well with any android compatible device. Its operation is fluid, It connects well with the car through android auto (this is not easy to find with ROMs based on aosp or similar with android 11) the battery has very good performance and is compatible with magisk and Xposed framework. Congratulations on the development and I look forward to the next update. Brilliant work. When will it be published?

Any chance any blobs were merged into new build for Verizon to be able to get data/signal... Since we have A 11 now..? Please and ty beforehand..

As we have seen Realme Provides a good OS with some nice to have features and some extra things that are locked down and not available in Custom ROMs such as Floating Apps , Integrated App Lock , Dual System Profile , Various AOD themes nad better Battery Management to list a few.
But it has some serious flaws too like
1) Useless Apps like HOt Apps , heytap apps that cant be removed
2) Outdated drivers for GPU
3) Trackers in inbuilt apps and system
This LITE OS aims to fix all these issues and also add some nifty features that wont have any side effect on Stability of OS.
These features are
1) More Privacy
2) Faster Boot Time
3) Lower Idle System Resource Usage
4) 140+ unnecessary apps removed
5) Higher Read / Write speed than stock
6) Better Performance in Games and Heavy Task
7) Trackers and Loggers disabled or removed
8) Reduced excessive permissions for Google Apps
9) Updated GPU drivers to maximum supported version of v530
10) Removed some gimmicky features that only reduce performance of Device
The LITE OS is made from the most recent and stable OTA from INdian variant of Realme GT NEO 2 ,Other egion usrs can also install and try this ROM but there might be some possibility that some bugs may appear in future . Indian Variant is used because Chinese version has too many Chinese tracking apps , European Vertsion does not have Call recording feature , and Russian vartiant gets fewer updates . ABOUT​
This LITE OS has been in existence for nearly a year but after many people told me to publish it on XDA , I am releasing the latest version in May 2023 .
Prior to this 6 versions have been released on sourceforge along with Telegram , some older versions were lost as they were uploaded on Mega .
Requirements :-
You need unlocked bootloader device ​
Any custom recovery installed .​
Free space of About 10 GB in device or Pen Drive​
Ability to restore device , if it gets bricked beacuse of your own noviceness​
Instructions :-
Download the zip from download section and match checksum ​
Backup all apps , media and other data to pc or Pen-drive ​
Extract the Zip and copy paste files to Device main Storage ​
Boot into Custom Recovery flash the SuperPartition.img into super partition .​
And then flash the RUI_LITE_OS-firmware.zip , if the process completes successfully then only proceed to next step .​
Now comes an important step where you have to be careful ​
#) If You were previously on Stock ROM or custom ROM ....>> You need to wipe Dalvik , Cache , Data & Internal Storage i.e clean-flashing
OR
#) If You were on LITE OS before , you need to wipe Dalvik and Cache only i.e, dirty-flashing​
After wiping is done , reboot the phone to system and wait for it to boot , If you have followed the process correctly a yellow realme logo will show and within 5 minutes you will be greeted with a setup screen ,Complete the Setup and Enjoy a de-bloated and optimized device .
What to do after first boot ? (Suggested yet Optional)
Restore your data , either by Google or by Swift Backup / Migrate .
Reinstall the Realme UI Dialer App apk from extra folder and make it default app for calling and give all permissions .
After that root with Magisk delta if you want to use root and other modules
Let the device settle down for 2-3 hours , before saying it is lagging
What to Never Do ?
Switch off PHone or do this with process with less than 30% charge while flashing Firmware
Unroot from Magisk via unistaller zip or Magisk app (If you want to unroot just flash firmware package again )
To disturb the device while it is doing first boot
NOt backing-up data to external devices like PC or otg-pendrive
Installing Modules meant for AOSP or Custom ROMs

Thanks for the efforts. Last time I've tried LITE OS I couldn't setup 4-digit PIN, only 6-digits, it was throwing me out of the settings, probably because some excessive debloat. Could you kindly tell if that doesn't happen now? Thanks again

Thank you for sharing it here. I tried f03, and I had trouble with sending sms and doing calls. Hopefully, this is fixed in this version...

Any important differences between European and Indian versions apart from the European not having the call recorder?
Edit: For some reason, on the Play Store, it says Rocket League Sideswipe is not compatible with my device, won't even let me download it... Although I downloaded it from APKPure and it seems to work fine.

No major difference between EU or Indian variant , Indian variant preferred for call recording feature

Does the Android 13 version support Gpu drivers V707?

I've tried all the versions. All the versions, you can't do calls or send sms in China...

No support for any driver above v530 as it will cause camera failure and random crashes and lags

I think it is because ORoaming is removed , it is required app for Chinese SIM to function but not for Global SIMs and since it tracks and keeps record of calls being made it was removed from LITE OS , and because of this ,Lite OS may not be compatible with Chinese Telecom Operators
