Hello All,
Can you recommend if there are apps, preferably one app, that does the following
1. Check storage memory and make suggestions to free up memory
2. Ping a particular server to check connectivity
3. Scan for wifi hotspots where network signal (3G / 4G) is weak
Thanks,
Rajesh

Use Schaps Advanced config. It does what your looking for.
If you want to block only 3G and leave Edge/GSM, you can disable the 3g radio through certain comm managers or phone settings. If you want to leave 3g but not hsdpa you can do that through the settings in the phone. if you want to disable all data connections then there are applications to do that, search for them on the forum. or you can always not setup the network's data settings and it will never connect. Or switch the "Programs that auto connect to the Internet should use" to My Work Network or something not configured.
Hi all, for this purposes and several other settings, I recommend PocketToolman 2. Is available may be in the forum and in some freeware sites.

Hi all,
I have a data usage question.
I have an AT&T Prepaid SIM card in my Fuze right now, and am only using it to make calls.
Today I was playing around with some open WiFi in my area and didn't realize that MEDIANet was sucking down the data instead of the WiFi, which was connected.
Is it possible to disable data usage through the phone, and to ONLY use WiFi for the data (without disabling the phone radio in the communication manager)?
Search for Nodata.exe (from modaco). It will do it. Or, you can disable the connections directly in the registry. You'll need to look here (for a similar reg key):
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{guid}\Connections\internet2.voicestrea
This is for a t-mobile data connection (the guid will be a long hex-number). Change the value for 'enabled' from 1 to 0.
you, sir, are a god among men
Does anybody know a wifi traffic monitor app that will show you how much data you have used at any certain time, per period (day/month/etc) but also grouped by network ssid? Like for example I'm running a personal hotspot (portable 3g router - say ssid TEST) that has a certain ammount of data available per month, and I want to see on my phone for example, how much data I have used on that particular network (ssid TEST).
I found some apps that show monthly and daily wifi usage, but it's combined for all wifi networks you connect to. I am looking for an app that shows usage per wifi network.
Anybody have any tips?
Thanks.
Built in functionality
The built-in data usage monitor in 5.0 and up is sufficient for me, it perfectly shows the data used per app (so also when using a hotspot)
What Android are you running?
Is there a way to use Wi-Fi for certain apps and cellular data for other apps ?
Thus keeping both the Wi-Fi and the cellular on at the same time but just direct apps to use any one of the means of connection .....
I know the method of using " aggressive WiFi - cellular handle " and "keep both data and WiFi ON" option but I need a controller or something that can direct a app to use a particular connection whereas another app to use another means of connection...
If any body knows a way , plz share it ....
I have Samsung S21+. Some apps like Google Meet or Signal prefer to use cellular/data connection over strong and reliable Wi-Fi! How can I change/modify the behavior?
