Trying to reset my S5 G900p to stock, Odin fails, Get Pit for mapping error - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been trying to find a solution for the last 2 days and I have had no luck. Sorry if this has been posted.
I flashed Marshmallow ROM a few weeks ago, but could not get the MMS working on it. So I decided to try a different ROM and hopefully that would fix it. I used the Insanity Rom. It didn't help, in fact, it made it worse because I couldn't get any data to work only wifi. So I figured I would go back to a lollipop ROM. This is where the problems began.
I flashed the ROM, it went into a boot loop. After reading more, from what I read is that once you have Marshmallow Sprint doesn't like to you to go back. I hope that makes sense. So I figured the best route would be to go back to stock and start over. And the problems continue.
I downloaded Odin, went to Sam Mobile and got the file to flash. Went into download mode, hooked it up to Odin, and it failed, tried again, failed. I get an error "Get Pit for Mapping". I have read that you need to be very careful with flashing Pit files so I have been trying for find information on how to do it. I did find a thread with the Pit file for the S5 g900p and another thread that said to use PIT Magic v1.3.10 - Samsung PIT Creator, Editor, Analyzer! But the thread was from 2012.
Long story - Short. How do I fix this Pit for Mapping error?
Thanks in advance for your help.

before you mess with the pit, try different md5's, different cables and different computers. Also what md5 file are you using? I 99.9% of the time recommend 5.0 OK4. If youre using PCA, it can be kinda picky

need the stock firmware for my sgh-t959v

i was really really stupid and decided to try and install darky's resurrected rom on my new sgh-t959v. After doing it and it not going past the 'installing csc' prompt i decided to try and mount a different pit. i got a working setup out of luck, but now my sim card doesn't work. i got a new sim card and still no signal. i only managed to write down the baseband version before messing it up like this. now that i've read that mixing a pit file from one region with a csc file from another is dangerous. i just need the stock pit csc and phone files. it's been driving me nuts because i just got this phone and all of a sudden can't use it. i've learned my lesson but i really need to fix it. i don't think darky's will work on mine since it's so new.
btw i found the source for my phone,(can't put link here because i don't have over 8 posts) my model and version are listed there. the only problem is i'm a noob at developing(getting into it) and can't compile all this stuff. is there a guide to compiling it? i was hoping to compile the source from that site and try to port it. how would i go about making the source into the pit csc and modem files?
sorry for such a ****ty problems guys. hope someone can help thanks in advance.
super buuuuump!!!
bump, i want my foooone herpaderp!
what's the difference between pit files that are 512, 803, 513? what's this number represent?
so i just tried to flash some other 'custom' rom that was perfect for my phone. i tried it with a different pit file that i thought would work. but now the device doesn't respond to anything! i turned it off and it won't turn on at all now not even to download mode. i'm freaking out what do i do!!!
welp i didn't want to wait. just to update everyone i took it to a local tech who flashed it to stock but couldn't fix the fudged bootloader. i messed it up when it failed a rom flash and i pulled it out in the middle of flashing. so i'm sending it back and getting another one by tuesday
yes, i need it too.
Same problem, anyway know where download this firmware???
No Custom ROM
A word to the wise: The Samsung sgh-t959v for t-mobile does not allow you to put a custom ROM. If anyone knows how to, please advice. I have a new sgh-t959v and don't want to make the same mistake of bricking it where "adb reboot download" command didn't even work because the phone died.

[Q]Soft Brick..Stock ROM..ODIN

Hello everyone.
First of all, the questions I have :
Where can I find Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 stock rom file for ODIN?
Which recovery should be used with it?
Boxes I should tick when installing it?
Problem I'm facing :
Tab kept booting over and over and it shows start screen, so I decided to install a custom ROM.
check SlimROM forums and downloaded the 6.0.5.1 recovery and the Slim-p3100-4.4.4.build.9.1-UNOFFICIAL-20150205-2140 ROM
Flashed Recovery via ODIN, then when I tried Wipe Data/Factory Reset, tab just kept restarting as if I never tried Wiping anything.
Read all of the posts on : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/help/soft-bricked-tab-gt-p3100-t3016879
Conclusion : Before I decide whether the device is bai-bai, I should flash a Stock ROM with Pit files and re-parti (I think)
Problem : Can't find the Stock ROM file and Pit file for days now..only ones I found are outdated and links dead.
(some info on which boxes to check in ODIN and ODIN version would be helpful too, noob over here)
Tab used to run ICS.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!
Have you checked sammobile?
Only place to find it will be Samobile, tab has no active development and is ancient with "end of life " issues.
Go to Samobile find firmware, click download, go fishing and come home 12 hrs later and maybe it will be downloaded completely.
If you're lucky flash with Odin and if it works leave it alone.

Nothing worked

So I found the PIT file and the stock ROM tar file (Thanks for the tip by the way) and it still didn't work.
It's as if I hadn't done a thing in the first place!!
Stock ROM same as it is, nothing changed AT ALL..all that happened after is that Custom Recovery was removed.
So I entered Normal Recovery and Factory Reset, on doing so, it reset the Stock ROM. I rooted the tab this time and still haven't done anything else.
Tab started rebooting on its own again and soon wont stop rebooting.
All I found on the forums was that the only solution is the Stock Tar + PIT file, but that didn't have any effect at all..
Anyone could tell me how to proceed to install a custom ROM just to get rid of this faulty damn Stock one?
Thanks in advance!
Your help is really appreciated!!
Maybe you need tar.md5 file of a custom rom
Your best bet is to read through this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3016879 you may find something to guide you.

I was able to rescue mine with heimdall and the heimdall frontend.

Which version of odin are you using? You don't have a mac do you?
Download the actual firmware for your phone from the official Samsung website. sammobile.com. Don't be downloading stock firmware from file hosts, or dropbox. You need to register for free on the official sammobile.com and then attempt to download your firmware. The firmware is a large file, so make sure to have good WiF/data connection. And yes, make sure you're using the latest version of Odin. Good luck!

[Completed] Problem Flashing OS On Galaxy S4 I9500

Hello, I am new here, so if my post is wrong please forgive me.
Phone: Galaxy S4 GT-I9500\
Current OS: Jelly Bean 4.3
Cell Carrier: PURETALKUSA
Problem: Can't flash a new OS
How it happened: I accidentally deleted a core "system" (Google play store). It messed some things up and I factory reset it. It did not work, nothing changed. So I decided to just flash a new OS. Since I had the International version I could go straight to Lollipop 5.1.
After a couple of days of trying to get it to work, I could not get it. I saw Kitkat 4.4 and thought I would just try that, but still had no luck.
Methods I have tried: All of the ways I have tried to install it have been based on Odin. I have used 3.04, 3.09, 3.10.7 and maybe others.
I have used 2 different computers and multiple files for the OS(Both Lollipop and Kitkat). And even different cables. None work.
How I try and how far I go: After installing Odin and downloading the file. I turn my phone onto download (Hold power, home and volume down....etc). In Odin I get the blue light and hit start after the files are in place.
Then depending on what file I am using is the error I get, Something about PIT error (I think I would need to re-partition it, but not sure how), Or the most common is a "Complete (Write) Operation Fail".
I admit I am tired of trying things, I have no idea how to fix it and I would be so glad if someone could help me understand what to do.
Thanks in advance!

S8 bootloop, ODIN fails at write, finally asking for help

So the past couple days I've been learning what I can about rooting. Finally decided to give it a shot and well I can't seem to get ODIN to work correctly. It seems to always end with abl.elf and then failing at write. I've tried Comsy and a few versions of ODIN including the latest version.
I'm currently downloading the latest firmware for my phone which is what I was updated to.
I have the Galaxy s8+ SM-G955U originally through VZW. I remember the ending of my firmware was CRE9 so I found this version off of Samsclub: G955USQU4CRE9_G955UOYN4CRE9. I downloaded some stock files for my device because I wanted to reset my bootloader version so I could root and use PARTCYBORG's rom. That's when it seemed to start looping.
I have access to download and recovery if you need that information. I also have downloaded the latest samsung drivers for Odin. I'm pretty sure if I could get it to write I could fix this issue but I've gone through a hundred threads on this forum and I'm pretty much a bit overwhelmed now. Please help
EDIT: I think I've nearly gotten it, but I'm stuck now. Odin 3.12 and Comsy 3.12 seemed to get me close. I've ran into missing Home Binary and Fail! Model Mismatch. Trying a 3.13 version of ODIN and then calling it.
One of the frustrating things about rooting for the first time is 'what are the expectations' in how things 'should' go.
Make sure you are using the most recent USB drivers. Odin, for some, will error out on the first flash attempt. It sure did when I was first learning, and it still does now, however someplace that I don't recall suggested this:
Connect with Odin, and Odin will say your phone is connected.
Setup your flash pieces.
Then flash.
Odon will fail, but this time you will leave the phone connected and re-enter download Odin.
Doing the above got me and others past the Odin errors on first flash attempts. It sure was troublesome.
Hope this works for you.
