I Have a soft bricked spreadthrum that im trying to unbrick using the spd upgrade tool but everytime i try connecting my phone to pc(several computers) using usb cable i get the MTP USB DEVICE FAILED error..I have already installed spreadthrum usb drivers manually and they are even listed in device manager.Please help

hi. iI have a problem in my phone USB when I connect it to my pc the phone just charge and the pc dosen't recognise the phone . I tried on many computer .change USB cable even i unrooted and formated my phone but nothing changed!!!!! My phone is general mobile discovery ...jelly bean 4.2.1.

I have tried on several computers, different ports and no help.
On the first connection to a PC not connected before windows reports "USB device not recognized" problem.
After that every time I connect the phone to the same computer the phone itself only recognizes that it is using USB charging mode, it does not recognize the computer connection (known by the USB icon on android system tray) even with "Ask upon connection option checked".
Even when I manualy change the Android mode in Settings --> PC Connection from MTP to PTP or even LG software, nothing happens.
Definitely there seems to be a problem with the phone, but I don't believe it's a software but a firmware problem.
Please help if anyone knows what to do.
Hi,
You need to install drivers on the pc for the device. You didn't mention doing that. Otherwise the computer will not know what it is.
You need to get the drivers from the LG website.

I own a lenovo S660. Live in india. Have updated to the latest android 4.4.2 firmware. I have tried all one click root apps like framaroot, towelroot etc. No success.. I tried installing the rootkit su binary through recovery mode. No success either. I tried connecting to pc but pc doesnt detect my phone in adb. I tried a lot of drivers even "Koush's universal adb drivers". Nothing worked. I want to root my phone. And try custom roms. Plz help. How can i root my phone??

A google search would likely find the proper USB drivers. Try another cable, another USB port on the pc... And last, try another pc.

Can anyone help me on Getting My LG G PRO F240L back, it stucks and always restarting on CWM RECOVERY saying "Device Unlock! So Boot Success!"
I've tried to Flash KDZ LOLLIPOP using LG FLASHTOOL 2014 but stucks on processing . I Bet the problem is the "UNIDENTIFIED DEVICE -> NO DRIVER FOUND" When connecting it to Windows 7 Ultimate, I went to Device Manager and sees "UNKNOWN DEVICE" I Uninstalled it and Tries to Connect again to DOWNLOAD MODE but Unfortunately " NOT RECOGNIZED " the device I have changed different USB CABLES and restart the Laptop Several Times . I manage to UPDATE the DRIVERS but the Problem was I can't connect the Pocketwifi via Wireless Connectivity, I can Connect it with The Cable Inserted on the Laptop but Where the Phone should Get into Download Mode by the Laptop IF there's an inserted pocketwifi on it. I'm having a huge problem. My phone is ZTE BLADE Q Maxi and it's bricked. In order to unbrick it, I need to connect it to my PC/Laptop.
But whenever I try, my phone keeps getting disconnect (I get the beeps for connecting and disconnecting). The drivers I have installed are: ADB Interface, DA USB VCOM Port, Gadget Serial, PreLoader USB VCOM port and others (that I belive they have no influence in this).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Forgot to mention that I've also tried with my USB cable from LG, and still got the same problem.
