Hello guys,
I think about to get a Xperia Z5 Premium on Christmas to get Android N officially and to introduce the new update plan of Project Meli Soundmod
So I know I have to UB and so on but when I UB I want to taste the full power of the Z5 Premium
So what you think is the best kernel in time for the Z5P?
I need Fauxsound or any Sound Control

The kernel should be stable
My Z5P will be a Single Sim version I think
I hope u can help me
Btw about the UB and so on I know already all about it, so there I don't need anything to know anymore xD

Not! Great news for 2203 owners.
Hi guys!!
I ve heard that the AOSP for xperia e3 only works on D2203 model, but in root method D2203 was compatible with D2206/D2243 but we are talking of an AOSP, so the compatibility issues can be at the order of the day.
So, I have two questions
Does it works on D2206/D2243 model (keep in mind rooting method and kernel SoC compatibity)?
If so, How can i return to stock rom if i dont like AOSP in my E3?
Thanks

I,ve already answered you on another post but this post has an extra question if you have kernel working from method then you also have cwm. Use it to make backup on external SD card cause internal is small it can't store full nanadbackup after flashing aosp if you lose cwm just flash boot.img from root method and restore it.
D2203, AOSP build from AOSP_L_150125_flamingo.zip
After the first boot, when the dipslay off, will never display again, if push the Power button.
Is this screen wake up bug?
How to solve this?

Thanks for that. Can you quickly explain what is the difference between the two repositories:
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/kernel-copyleft
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/kernel
The build instructions on both pages are very similar but only referring to the different github sources and using different defconfigs (aosp_xxxx_defconfig vs. xxxx_defconfig). I seem to gather the second repo ("kernel") is the "unified kernel"?

Facts about no lollipop on E3

Hi Guys, this week Xperia M2 received the usual PTCRB certificate that leads M2 to lollipop. Thinking on that basis i´ve analyzed the hardware of Xperia E3 and Xperia M2 and interestingly the difference is only 4 Gb of internal storage and some minor differences in camera, screen resolution and little not so important things.
2014 Xperia models with Yukon core:
Xperia T2 Ultra
Xperia T3
Xperia M2 / M2 Aqua
Xperia E3
All they share in common one thing: yukon architecture and bird names too So, lets make a filter, thinking in techical specs comparing E3 and M2 only (specs related barely to raw hardware)
Xperia M2: February 2014
CPU: Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and GPU Adreno 305. 1 Gb RAM, Internal Storage 8 Gb.
Lollipop certified today by PTCRB
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xperia E3: September 2014
CPU: Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and GPU Adreno 305. 1 Gb RAM, Internal Storage 4 Gb.
Theres not certainity about lollipop or marshmallow
So i have realized the conclusion that due to technical problems, especially derived of the replacement of Dalvik for ART in Lollipop, we cant have lollipop in our little E3 due to associated hardware issues.
A Xperia Blog guy named sergio, told me this:
I don't say our phones so different, in fact you know M2 is D2303 and E3 is D2203. E3 is like a cheap M2. Poor camera, less screen, less internal storage, etc.
The problem is that, without swapping the internal memory by the external SD card, it's almost impossible to install a SINGLE APP. Apps, due to Android RunTime, increased the size (Dalvik+ART compatibility), that's why having lollipop inside a 4GB phone is just a crazy idea.
Can you compile it?: Yes!
Is it a good rom for an average user?: No.
Imagine you work at Sony. Think about Lollipop as an end-user rom... Wouldn't they prefer being hold back in 4.4 but at least have some more space to install apps, or, would you roll out an ota that only let's you install 1 single app in your phone?
But, now the key. Marshmallow let's you use your SD as an ampliation of your internal memory. That's why there's still a possibility that Sony updates it. The only one.
If I were you I'd wait until Sony decides what devices to update. And please, don't believe in rumors or filtrations, that only creates false hopes.
While sony doesnt clarify this, i´m almost sure we are not going to get lollipop but maybe M
Thank you for sharing this. I sure hope we get M on the E3.
E3 won't skip lollipop then get marshmallow it doesn't work like that. Kk is the end of the line.
D2303,18.3.1.C.1.15 kk, deodexed, debloated, rooted, philz touch recovery, bravia engine 2+x-reality+z3 super vivid, viper audio, xposed mods.

are you sure? where do you know that?
Yes, IMO support for e3 ends with KK.
But, if M2 is similiar and it gets probably LP, then sources will be available for lp for it. So, probably after m2 update some devs probably can build fully working lp rom for e3 bcoz hardware similarity.

Hmmm that's great, but is that release only for D2203, D2206 and D2243 only or can be for another type? Like D2202 and D2212 may be?

Sorry to give you the bad news guys, but here it goes: http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2015/10/06/sony-xperia-and-android-6-0-marshmallow/
I'm really sorry and upset because apart the 4GB nand the E3 had decent specs for getting at least 5.1
And thats it..... disappointed. They could publish at least working camera and everything will be nice.

I can understand, that its not beneficial to keep developers working on upgrades for older (and cheaper) phones. But its not beneficial either to have courting because of providing vulneable phones to customers. I bought my E3 (D2203) less than month ago and there are no paches against Stagefright exploit. I have read Marshmallow compatibility document (static.googleusercontent.com/media/source.android.com/et//compatibility/android-cdd.pdf) and I do not see any reasons, why E3 must stay on KitKat.
So what's this?

Hi guys, my Name is Tomek and this is my first post. I've registered to show you something what I didn't tried yet (cause I'm noob) http developer sonymobile com knowledge-base open-source open-devices list-of-devices-and-resources
I can't post links, add dots before and after "sonymobile " and "/" in the spaces..
croll down to E3 part
That's what you are talking about?
If the topic is about something else - Sorry maybe I've understand something wrong.
Bless Ya!
Pozdrawiam
Nope, this tread is about official LP for e3. Link what you shared is for developers with source (incomplete) to build aosp lp.

make a 6.0 ROM

Could anyone make a marshmallow ROM from Sony AOSP software binaries maybe we could make it a Developers project?
Sent from my XPERIA M2 Dual using XDA-Developers mobile app
no dev on m2 can do it perfectly like pecanCM on xm with cm 13
Go n ask them to make you one then. Plenty of devs doing custom roms like cm and omni including 6.0 just cause they don't have a dedicated thread on xda don't mean they ain't about. Most are probably to unstable to use as daily drivers anyway
D2303 5.1 deodexed z2 port+z5+X apps+themes, be,xr,sv,ad,XZRt2urecovery,xposed,z5 cam2.0,xLOUD,S-Force,viperaudio+more
Im sorry to hear that, noone can build include me lol

Android Oreo for Xperia Z5 - Sumire

Can we get Oreo rom for Xperia Z5?
We want to use Oreo 8.1.
Please compile ASOP 15.1 or LineageOS 15.1 for us.
Thanks.
Yes, I really hope someone can make Oreos for this device
Thanks bro :fingers-crossed:
Will most likely not happen.
As long as Sony doesn't release an official Oreo for the device in question, there will be no kernel blobs to recycle. And it is even less likely that Sony will release any source code.
At "best" we could maybe have an Oreo without wifi, camera and nfc

But now my Z2 is very stable with RR oreo, sony newer released the z2 drivers for oreo.
I think developers want to create aosp for z5 they can.
Any idea about oreo guys? I want to test it.Other devices z2 and z3 etc. has oreo custom.
Oreo for the Z5 would be really awesome and a logical step, indeed. I mean, I flashed an old Z3 days ago and have an old Z2 next to me, both with a flawlessly working Android 8.1 powered by lineageOS. And then in my hand, my sad Z5 Dual which also works nearly flawlessly powered by lineageOS, but unfortunately with Android 7.1.2 Please, it would be awesome to get Oreo for the Z5. I don't see any need for for newer devices that followed the Z5: camera is great, specs are more than sufficient for my and most purposes, design-wise (always subjective of course) it is a great device, dual sim covers additional needs if you have that version, etc.
As the Z2 and Z3 have (inofficial, but perfectly working) lineageOSs, what is really the reason why 15.1 does not exist for the Z5? Is it just a matter of time or any technical reason? No driver support cannot be the reason as the Z2 and Z3 have no official drivers as well, right?
Any ideas?

Need Sony Xperia M (Nicki) support

Hi all.. I have Sony Xperia M dual C2004 model with unofficial slim ROM nougat 7.1.2 beta build on it. After various ROM test I found this rom highly performed to my expectations but the developer hasn't release new build. I don't know what is the reason. I am excited to see new feature in its interface and navigation settings. Hope to get support from you guys...:fingers-crossed:
