Trouble with multi ROM - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,anyguys can help me ? I'm in trouble with multi ROM. I use sultan's CM13 as the primary ROM and I installed another ROM as the second ROM today . But I just can't choose to boot into the second one because it boots into the CM13 each time straightly. And by the way,I've changed the filesystem of data partition to f2fs,so does this matters? Could anyone tell me how to deal with this? I'll be appreciated ! (^_^)v

Try to see in the multirom options list in the recovery or there are mentioned 2 roms, if so try to see if the timeout time is set to 1 sec or so and set it to 5 sec

The timeout time is 5 seconds ,and there's only the second ROM in the multi ROM selection in recovery.

I have a bug in this ROM. The phone switches off completely. Randomly. And it doesnt switch on unless i remove and re insert the battery. Couldnt get a log cat as this happened so very randomly. I have no idea of when this happens.
I am using VanirAOSP and the kernel by varun including philZ recovery.

That's not my bug then. If you flash amother boot.img, you also reflash the ramdisk.

I didn't mean that. I meant that you cannot just use the CM ramdisk instead of Vanir's (it may cause unintended problems).
For new build, setting fc's when entering 'more' tab for adjusting vibration intensity..
In call volume
is the in call low volume problem persist in this rom... plz reply asap??
First great rom, great performance. Looking forward to officially support for our phone.
Second I have for now two problems. As said from user faizalotai bug in settings after clicking 'more'.
And after restart I have problems with lockscreen . It freezes my phone for a minute but after that every thing is normal.

I've Flashed this rom yesterday... Only 2 bugs I've saw...
Settings>device>more gives fc...
And sometimes when I lock the screen the power button doesn't work to unlock my phone... I have to wait almos 30 seconds...
It's only my phone or a general bug??
Thanks...
Yep, ive also experienced that lag during unlock.
Ive encountered similar lag with RR 5.1.2, but i solved it when someone suggested me to flash Graphical fix, sadly, that wasnt the case with latest version of Vanir :/

Possible solutions:
1. Flash the included boot.img from the Vanir zip via flashtool.
2. Redownload the rom and check the MD5.
3. Wipe system, data, cache & dalvik cache.

Yeh i know, not implemented yet.
Hi @Alberto96, as I said in the CM general discussion thread I have noticed a buzz in the earpiece even with not in a call. I found that it's a know defect at least for Nexus 4 (https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39936). But, while searching about this I found something about in call sound quality in droidforums.net (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/an...better-call-audio-how-change-voice-codec.html), it suggests to use another voice codec. I know the thread is old (2009), but I hope it can help.
Edit: Also found this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599, relating the problem to kitkat update.
I don't know if it's a bug, but in some submenus of some configs when I press back or touch in the up left corner to go back for previous menu don't work, they just go for general config menu.
Example: Config. -> Screen and lights -> notification led if I press back it open Screen and lights menu again but themes menu and maybe some others don't work like this, it open Config menu directly.
How to restore CM apps
Hello everyone,I flashed CM 11 a couple of days ago and after that I flashed PA Gapps (Art + Dalvik) I knew that they would overwrite CM's apps but now I'm not satisfied with the apps and I want to restore to CM apps, what should I do?I tried reflashing CM rom but it didn't work.I also tried disabling gapps and installing CM apps and this also didn't work.

Do this (Recovery):
- Format /system
- Reinstall CM ROM
- Do not flash Google Addon
Done!
Well,I should do a backup cause I don't want to lose my apps data and then format. That's alot of work I wanted to know if there's an easier way or not ty anyway

If you format only /system you don't need to do a backup. You aren't formatting /data where user apps/settings are located

What build of SlimLP are you using and what device ? I have P3110 and get a boot loop after I reboot on alpha 0.41
I haven't tried to capture logs yet - next step will be to wipe and redo a clean flash ; on the other hand - I noticed the link in the xda thread notes 0.41 as latest - but AndroidAndi's link to his files shows latest as 0.3 ; know it is an alpha - but looking for stability over new features if I can get it

thanks for info - my mistake in describing it ; it kept rebooting - however, last night did a wipe - then reflashed ; no issues. I don't remember all the steps I did the first time - quite possible I did a dirty flash. Starting with a clean device did the trick.
I may go back and mess with it more now that i have it stable -- as it was ; I made a back up and went back to the SlimKat setup I had been using -- device is still used daily as a primary device - but now I have a setup to mess with when I have some free time

Installation
1. be sure you have a custom recovery like TWRP (I use v3.0.0.0 for klte) or similar
Everyone using those Nightly's is advised to use TWRP 3.0.0.0 for SM-G900F only!!!
Wipe/Clear data/cache function is not working in TWRP 3.0.2.1 and higher!!!
2. download desired NIGHTLY and GAPPS via link from above
3. put files on your SD-card and enter recovery mode via 3 button-combo or extended menu
3. wipe data/cache/dalvik, format system
4. flash Nightly
5. flash GAPPS (if Aroma is faster than 10 seconds, flash again. Aroma full installer aborts atm)
6. wipe cache/dalvik again (optional)
7. restart and have fun with your NIGHTLY

Okay guys,
here's my report for the nightly from 10th of August.
As I can say, everything is working soft and properly except of some small issues:
- multi-user-profiles are not adjustable
When I try to set a picture or change the account name a toast-message with "contact does not exist" appears. Profiles are shown as "Owner", "New User" and "Guest".
- when in 2nd user-account sometimes new installed apps are force closed
First time I noticed this, was when installing the new user-account, google framework had a fc, but afterwards everything worked great.
Second fc was on installation of SwiftKey Keyboard. To use it, I had to switch back to "owner", then the Keyboard is shown in the options
- Bluetooth music play on my car is stuttering, when phone is in use, f. e. when radar control app is in background. BT phone was fine in my car, but I read about other users, who had the same issues with their headsets.
Thats all so far.
I hope we can start a little discussion on your experiences and faced problems.
It will be great if someone can find an official way to report issues directly to the builders of this ROM.
However, the progress of development of this ROM is remarkable!

Yes you're right.
The CM Camera is stripped down to the bones very much. Just use third-party-apps like open camera or original google camera instead to more features. There's another project called Camera Next which is a port from the OnePlusOne. You'll find it on XDA.
Sadly, they all are not as capable as the Samsung Cam, but for a quickshot, they're fine.
THX for your report.

Hi,
first have a look in developer settings and switch on systemwide root access. Sometimes it get lost when flashing a new recovery. I use the TWRP 2.8.6.0 recovery. It is not buildt for the S5 duos, but it works perfect. With this recovery I never lost root access by flashing a new ROM.
BTW, CM provides a custom recovery since the Nightly 13th of August. Anyone tried this?
Please report back.

Facing the same issue but its not this massive. just my opinion. If you like testing to get Xposed working for our Duos variant with CM 12.1 u r able to set new volume specs with V4A.
Pls report back.
...but as seen, getting Xposed working is easy, Viper 4 Android is not!
Another bug, Bluetooth disconnected and connected for few seconds randomly and shutter while audio playing. Any temporary fix please. Thanks.*

This Is Not My Work , I Am Just Sharing This ROM . Any Questions About Bugs Will Be Ignored.
So here comes the zenUI ROM for our phones. ZenUI is based on Lollipop and it comes with ASUS smartphone like Zenfone 2 and others. This is a customizable ROM , it means themes can be applied to change the look of home screen , notification bar and some other things . It comes with various other features like touch gestures & motion gesture.
I haven't tested the ROM , but custom kernels are are working on it like phantom, baba chamtkari (as I saw in a group) so other kernels may also works.

Requirement • Flash Over Stock Lollipop RoM (recommended)
Twrp by Jav or SevenMaxx

ZenUI ROM • Download From Here

How To Flash •
1. Download file ROM ASUS ZenUI Lenovo A6000
2. Boot into TWRP recovery.
3. Select Wipe then Swipe to Factory Reset (don't wipe system, factory Reset is enough)
4. Then select Install
5. Locate and select the ROM file you downloaded earlier
6. Wait until the flashing process is complete .. (slightly longer)
7. Now flash fixdatasim1asus.zip
8. Reboot
It will take more than 10 minutes to boot . ROM is pretty heavy.
Bugs ••
1.Data will Not work on sim 2
2. Stock camera force closed sometimes . so alternatively snapdragon camera has included.

Checkout this solution, if it doesn't work then
●wipe everything except internal & external storage , go back , click on reboot > recovery (ignore no os installed message) . Flash again .
Other solution,
● try with different TWRP version like 3.0
dosen't work??

No need to flash stock ROM again. You can clean flash on any LP or MM based custom ROMs.
