Here is a quick and dirty method to SUCCESSFULLY flash the Echoe Rom onto your sprint device and retain your service. Please read all steps and prepare before starting the process. Here we go.....
1. Titanium backup or similar to sd card as Smartswitch will not restore afterwords.
2. Go here and find the 1_41 version of EchoeRom and download to sd card:
http://www.echoerom.com/thread/1764-g935-g930-echoerom-universal-usa/
3. Start with a clean stock with activation completed on sprint.
4. After your activation is totally complete boot into download mode..
5. Remove your sim card but not your sd card.
6. Open ODIN and Flash the PF2 firmware located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/firmware-verizon-s7-edge-t3344092
7. Go through setup, download flashfire and busybox.
8. Root the same as you would normally(for 935p). Same thread as link in step 11.
9. When you're rebooted It is now time to flash the EchoeRom. Make sure you select full wipe and sprint service from the aroma installer. (as mentioned before it takes about 15 minutes for initial boot) I left mine on an A/C vent, it can get hot.
10. When it finally boots up it will start your activation and setup again, insert your sim card again before you press start then continue with the setup.
11. Once setup completes you'll need to change your build.prop values from 310000 to 310120 and reboot. Then reset apns to default through the 3dot menu in apn settings. Then add the 2 sprint apns, see post 2 for details .(don't forget to save them after you complete the necessary fields) This information is available in the sprint root thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/root-t3410424
12. Go to every post @jrkruse and @jds3118 have, read them and hit the thanks button on every single one
I have successfully flashed back to sprint firmware and back onto EchoeRom to prove this method to myself before starting this thread. I believe jrkruse references jds3118 if you feel the need to donate to someone.
You and you alone are responsible for what you do to your device. I encourage feedback especially if someone finds a quicker way to flash Echoe on sprint. I'd also like to see some others who have succeeded with this method to verify my method as this is very close to the line of a duplicate thread.
I will do my best to offer help and support where I can if you run into trouble

So I tried all this but I started from the G935U firmware and i'm unable to get my LTE. I will now odin to the stock sprint firmware and start all over. I'm also confused about " 8. Root the same as you would normally. " Do I root with the sprint way with G935A or the verizon way ? Sorry for the scrub questions. Will update once done.
Update: When started with the G935U Firmware I wasn't able to get LTE but I did have calls and text. I'm starting fresh from Sprint Firmware will update once done.
Update 2: Odin back to Sprint Firmware and Followed instructions as far as I understood them still no LTE but I can make calls and send text. I Don't understand the first step does it just mean I can't restore backups or I can't restore only Smartswitch? Also When I get to the Flashing part do I full wipe in Flashfire also? I'm going to try just one more time to make absolute sure I didn't mess anything up.
Sorry for the wall of text.
MOD EDIT: Please do not quote entire OPs when posting in a thread.
Text and calls work. lte does not. i changed the build prop stuff. chameleon to sprint, and the numbers. am i missing soemthing...

Okay, root using the normal sprint way, flash eng boot image, root.bat. The only wipe you should have to do is in the aroma installer. I just mean you can only restore most of your user apps and I would recommend a method like titanium as opposed to restoring a flashfire backup. Is it safe to say you didn't add the sprint apns? APN2 LTE internet, APN2 EHRPD internet. I think this is why. I don't follow the U firmware threads anymore, how did they get past the constant rebooting issue? And you have a 935p right.

Update 3: Did everything over and added the APN2. Now my LTE and Voice/Text are working. It does seem to lag a bit but i'll mess with it a bit more and see if it gets any better .

Yup I got everything up and running. So far I have only noticed that my device does slow down often. Then it goes back to being smooth. I did also install the note 7 camera this time and I did notice that's also pretty laggy.
Great Job! I just finished the whole process and so far so good, although the device runs a little slower than the U firmware. Btw Is it safe to install Xposed for this rom?

Yup I was able to flash Sprint, Vzw, and echo. I flashed back to back about 5 times over without problems. The APNs were not grayed out on Sprint or Echo. Didn't check the APN setting on the VZW firmware cause I obviously had the SIM removed on this step.

ABOUT
-------------------
This is a package to return your Infuse 4G to a complete stock state with the AT&T UCLB3 Gingerbread release. It includes a PIT file to repartition your phone. Also, this resets the Custom Binary Download counter. Consider this a way to put the phone back to stock or to recover from a soft-brick without going all the way back to Froyo.
There is both a complete stock version and a rooted version below.
PACKAGES
-------------------
Stock UCLB3
UCLB3_Unbrick_1.1.zip
Stock UCLB3 with root
UCLB3_Unbrick_root_1.1.zip
The version with root works exactly like the above version, but adds root. To add CWM recovery to the rooted version, download a custom Gingerbread kernel from HERE or HERE and flash the zImage using SGS Kernel Flasher (found in the Play Store) on the phone. If you go this route for root and CWM, your Custom Binary Download counter will not show any custom binary activity.
INSTALL
-------------------
1.) Download and extract the zip package.
2.) Place phone in download mode.
3.) If needed, install latest Samsung USB drivers by installing Samsung Kies from HERE.
4.) Open the included Odin exe.
5.) If phone is detected, the window under ID:COM will turn yellow.
6.) Click on "PIT" to browse to and select infuse_gb.pit. Make sure that Re-Partition is selected.
7.) Click on "PDA" to browse to and select PDA_UCLB3.tar.md5.
8.) Click on "PHONE" to browse to and select PHONE_UCLB3.tar.md5.
9.) Click on "Start", and allow Odin to flash the phone. Do not unplug or power off the phone until Odin is finished.
10.) When the Odin dialogue reads "PASS!", the phone should reboot into the stock UCLB3 Setup Wizard.
FAQ
-------------------
1.) Should I do a software Factory Reset in settings after flashing this?
In the case that the Setup Wizard does not appear on the first boot, apps from a previous installation are still present, or you have other issues, go to Settings / Privacy and choose "Factory data reset" and then "Reset phone". This will ensure that the phone is completely reset, and that there is nothing left-over from a previous install to cause issues.
2.) I have rainbow distortion in recovery or in the boot animation. How can I get Gingerbread bootloaders to fix this?:
If you have rainbow distortion, you still have Froyo bootloaders. You can download THIS .rar file, extract using 7zip, and flash the tar.md5 package in Odin (use the pda slot). Flashing Gingerbread bootloaders will correct rainbow distortion in recovery and in the boot animation. Only flash these if you are having issues with rainbow distortion, and only if you have had success flashing other, less dangerous items in Odin.
3.) Does this package remove anything from the internal or external sdcard partitions?
This package does not remove anything from your internal or external sdcard partitions, so all of your user files stay on the phone. If you are using this to reset your phone to stock before selling it, etc., you should format personal storage by using options found under Settings / SD card and phone storage.

CHANGELOG
-----------------
6/13/2012 - v. 1.1:
Fixed a bug in the initial version of the UCLB3 Unbrick that caused the phone to lose APN settings. After flashing the new version of the UCLB3 Unbrick, the phone now reboots into the Setup Wizard and does not have APN issues. Thank you to hvega11 for the heads up on the bug.
The new version is in a zip archive called UCLB3_Unbrick_1.1.zip and contains a README.txt file with this changelog information. If the zip archive README.txt does not contain this changelog, then you are using the older version. It is suggested that you delete that version and download version 1.1.
If you downloaded and used the initial version, you might have lost APN and carrier settings immediately after flashing. Go to Settings / Privacy and do a factory reset. This will set you back to normal. The new version should not normally require a factory reset after flashing, but a factory reset in settings is suggested if you have any issues.

Also, are you on AT&T or something else?

att theres just signal bars no att logo no h icon then in settings when you click apn its empty the click on network operators and its grayed out you cant add or change anything at this point
Alright, have you tried doing a factory reset in Settings / Privacy? I'm also going to test again here. Let me know what you get after factory reset, though.
EDIT: Just got finished with another test. I got the exact same behavior. After flashing the UCLB3 Unbrick, the phone had no APN settings or carrier information. After doing a factory reset in Settings / Privacy, all is back to normal. Do that if you haven't, and you'll be good to go.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm taking the file down until we get better results without having to do a factory reset in settings. I think that I know what is causing this.

Occasionally, I also noted that a factory reset is also needed to clear out all other data. I did not noted the APN problem though.

Since the PIT file repartitions the phone, the unbrick package has to have a dbdata.rfs file to rewrite that partition. Of course, neither this or the PIT file were included with the Przekret UCLB3 leak, so I dumped both from the phone, and edited the PIT file in a hex editor to remove several extra lines. The PIT file is good to go; I'm pretty sure that the issue lies in when I dumped the dbdata.rfs file from my phone. I live on the side of a mountain, and have very poor reception. I'm going to try to keep my personal settings and environment out of the mix when I dump the dbdata.rfs file. I'm trying a few things, but will let you know for sure after I test a theory.
Thanks jscott for the quick response sorry trying to do a factory reset didn't even cross my mind lol I had already odined back so I didn't get to try it.
Thanks again hvega11 for giving us a heads up about the APN issue / bug in the first version of the UCLB3 Unbrick.
The UCLB3 Unbrick is fixed and good to go. It was the dbdata.rfs file. I needed to dump it right after clearing cache and data (factory reset), and with the phone on the Setup Wizard screen. The tricky part was still having adb access at that point with USB debugging enabled. I remembered that you can wipe data and cache in CWM recovery and still keep USB debugging enabled, so I did that. At reboot, as soon as I saw the Setup Wizard, I got an adb shell and dumped the necessary files.
The phone starts at the Setup Wizard now after using the UCLB3 Unbrick, and doesn't have any APN issues.
EDIT: Version 1.1 has been uploaded. The APN bug has been fixed. This is working 100% for me. I've tested it over and over, and tried many different scenarios coming from ICS and Gingerbread roms. Every time I get a 100% working stock phone at the UCLB3 Setup Wizard.
EDIT 2: The only time that users might have to do a Factory Reset in settings is in the case that apps from a previous install are still present, or if any other issues arise - just to be sure that nothing is left-over from a previous installation. In most cases, the user won't have to do a Factory Reset in settings.
I need as many people as possible to test this and report back that it works. Thanks!
glad you got it fixed ill try it out tonight and report back
I've found that I personally prefer having an unbrick option that has root. So, I've updated the OP with a rooted UCLB3 Unbrick.
To get to CWM recovery from the rooted version: Flash any suitable custom Gingerbread kernel by using SGS Kernel Flasher. Then, it's back to flash, flash, flash, flash, flash, oops, unbrick, flash, flash, flash...
Neat thing is, that by not using download mode to install a custom kernel, the Custom Binary Download counter doesn't show any custom binary activity.

I inadvertently purchased a international unlocked LS996 from a ebay seller not realizing it until I tried to activate it on Sprint today. So hoping dd'ing ZV6 stock image would remove whatever the seller did for some reason still will not activate on sprint. Profile/PRL both fail. I have updated to ZV7 as well with no luck. I get 3g data. no lte or calls. I had called sprint and they said they had issues provisioning phones today and had a backlog. Not sure if i believe them or if its something with the phone
What else needs to be done to get this back working on sprint?
Anyone?
Does flashing the stock system bring the phone back to stock, or is it that what the seller did unable to activate on sprint now?

what you need is the original node.db files from the carrier folder
but you need your phone rooted for doing this.
then you can flash back to stock with the corresponding system image and the OTA update to ZV9.
I will upload this files for you in case you cant find them. :good:

Please do update OP. I'm in a similar boat- unlocked phone that I did manage to activate on sprint but I cannot get several things to work such as: updating PRL, updating profile, visual VM to pick up messages. All of these throw up Authentication Failed messages. Otherwise the phone does generally work well on sprint's networks. There's another thread in here somewhere that outlines the process I (and others) had to go through to get activation to work though it does not seem flawless given these other persistent issues.

I believe so...
AT&T D850, rooted, still running 4.4.2.
Yesterday having terrific wifi connection problems...on all wifi.
After hours of work, decided to Factory Reset.
Did on-phone software-based backup and factory reset.
Upon reboot, I get black box message: "Unfortunately, Android System has stopped"
I've had a phone repair teck look at it and he could not get very far. You can actually hit "OK" after the message and y get a microsecond to try and hit something on the screen. he was trying to clear the storage cache.
So, after numerous retries at hardware (button) based factory reset with same results, I'm the owner of a bricked device. Although I rooted to get rid of AT&T trash on the phone, I had little interest in custom ROMS and was afraid of bricking my phone. And after a simple factory reset, that's apparently exactly what happened.
So as if this point, I have a data connection with the carrier, and I can access internal memory via USB...but obviously I cannot go into settings and enable Developer Options or USB Debugging or anything like that.
What are my options to restructure things running purely thru a PC/USB connection?
Any help would be SINCERLEY appreciated.

That's not a factory firmware. That's just pulled lollipop files. The only flash able firmware is kitkat. I need to remove the lollipop folder.

Yeah..when I fill in the code and go Download (right to the right of the word AdChoices)...
I get three choices on my screen...all of them are unrelated. Actually there's one coice/circle at the top...and three choices at the bottom of the screen.
(I'm not sure how to post a screen shot. PrintScreen and thee CtrlV doesn't seem to work.)

I think your misunderstanding it, I think your looking at the ads and not the actual download link.
After you enter the code it will count down 8 seconds then you can click download. It brings you to a page with the download link.
That's the download link you then click.

For example, when trying to dl the last link...I get a big circle link at the top to dl something about CCD Color Camerara...at the bottom there are three smaller circles...for Fix Windows Update, Start Download/Update Windows 10 Drivers, and Free Driver Upgrades by sparktrust.com.
Nothing else. I don't find anywhere to dl the real file...it's just spam.
OK- I have all files from other sources. Step 2: Install LG Drivers. I'm sorry- I'm really not a stupid person, but I don't know how to "install".
Do I copy the files in the zip to a certain place in the internal memory of the G3?
Well, OK, I just ran the LG Drivers and it installed to C;\drive.
So , the next step, Install Flashtool...How does this happen? I extracted everything in the zip to it's own folder. I don't see how to install this to the c:\drive.

You extract it and run it. It doesn't install.
When I click on the FlashTool application, I get a dialog box with bunch of parameters. It doesn't look like it's going to install anything...or run anything...it's just a bunch of parameters that' I don't understand. One of which, is "Ty;e" and the default is CDMA. I KNOW this phone is for AT&T- so I should not be messing with anything for a CDMA system/Verizon/Sprint. Totally confused. issues after mm upgrade
Here's what I experienced after update...
Once you upgrade you can't flash back to stock. LG flash tool fails because it couldn't detect the model. After setting up McAfee it disables root and usb debugging. You have to go into McAfee and turn those options off. So it seems like once you go to mm you can't get back to lollipop. I'm also having proximity sensor issues also with the screen going black during a call. I guess once we can get root I'll be able to install another rom.
Hi, I got the notification and I was not in WiFi network so decided to cancel it and check it again once I got to wifi zone. But when I checked next time, I just get a message, your phone is uptodate. I tried rolling date forward to circumvent the 24 hour check, but no luck. Any ideas to get the update notification back ?
no luck updating
tried the update today, it just sends me to twrp recovery screen every time
You can't install a factory update while rooted. Come on guys you should know this.

I had the same thing happen to me so what I did to make the phone think I haven't checked for an update and avoid the 24 hour wait I did a hard reset. I want to point out that I didn't care much about all my apps being deleted and you might want to back them up. Note: I was on stock lollipop

Its KDZ. the D850 is TOT method only.
My Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
But remember its your own risk, not sure if downgrading will brick or not yet from MM on the AT&T Model.
FWIW, if you're experiencing DND issues after the 6.0 update check settings > dnd > advanced > schedule. kept noticing on my moto360 it was switching to dnd for no reason. turns out some scheduling magically appeared. been running 6.0 without a hitch since last night. had to manually disable at&t video calling and a few other things but im happy with it thus far.

You have to do a hard reset through stock recovery. Don't do it if you are using a custom rom. If you are not experienced I recommend you wait to see if you get another update notification

Next Odin The G935A Zip Eng Boot
Power off your device and boot into download/bootloader mode by pressing and holding the volume down, home, and the power button. Press volume up to get into bootloader.
Open PrinceComsy odin and flash the engineer boot.img by clicking AP and navigating to the file for your model. Click start and your device should reboot by itself.
Enable developer options by going to Settings>About Device and tapping Build Number till it shows Developer mode has been turned on. You will now have Developer options under the settings menu.
Enable USB debugging in the Developer options settings.
INSTALLING ROOT ACCESS:
Make sure that you have ADB installed.
Unzip the SuperSU zip file into a folder(For me C:\rootS7 )
Connect your device and navigate to the file location using adb.
Type root.bat and the process will begin. Be patient, there are some pauses.
Once finished your phone will reboot.
You will also need to do the following:
Download S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zipto your internal or external storage and install install FlashFire from the playstore.
Open FlashFire and let it acquire root access. Click the + button at the bottom right corner then click on Flash ZIP or OTA. Navigate and select the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip. file. Leave the options alone and click the check in the top right. Scroll down to the bottom and click flash. Your phone will reboot and flash the zip. This can take a while.
Go to Settings>Lock screen and security>Other security settings>Security policy updates and turn off "Automatic updates" and "Wi-Fi only". Reboot. This seems to be the culprit of the 7 day soft brick.
Open back up Package Disabler Pro and search for "software update". Disable both packages (com.sec.android.soagent and com.wssyncmldm).
You will need to set your APN configuration manually
Add APN2 EHRPD internet using the following, but replace Bearer with eHRPD
APN2 LTE internet
APN n.ispn
MMSC http://mms.sprintpcs.com
Multimedia message proxy 68.28.31.7
Multimedia message port 80
MCC 310
MNC 120
APN type default,mms,dun
APN protocol IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol IPv4/IPv6
Bearer LTE
I may add more if I forgot something........Enjoy!
This may work on Nougat, someone try it and let me know.
I will try it later I'll need to flash sprint fw again since I'm on unlocked firmware and we haven't received the 7.0 update yet

Hello! So I'm currently trying to Root my S7 Edge that on PK1 (Sprint). I dont seem to be able to boot into the .tar file. Every time I do try and boot into it I land at the LTE Splashscreen and I have the vibrating (1 vibration, wait, 3 vibrations, wait, repeat) I've been able to go back to the stock firmware (G935PVPS4APK1_SPT4APK1_SPR_Sprint_USA_6.0.1) to get basic use of my phone but of course without Root access. Ive tried using other .Tar files but to no luck. I've disabled all the packages and even more. I wonder if you guys have any possible information to why I cant boot to a rooted .tar img.
-Thanks, Zoruda.
I was able to root, but unable to save the APNs
Nice job Soop! Im on latest unlocked firmware awaiting sammy to roll out the Noug. Hopefully that happens soon. I was using it on my XT1254 and it rocked!
