It is possible to convert 6045i to 6045y ( need Europe bands ) - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have the phone from Amazon. Need to use in Europe. What do I have to do ? Thank you ....

I bought this for my brother but i Don't think the US version has European LTE bands. As he is like 8 years old he won't care and H+ will be okay.

After I lost lte in US, I had to restore fsg, modem, modemst1, modemst2 to get lte back up and running on my phone... My guess is if you can locate those backup partitions from a Y variant, you could make it work...

I may have some bad news for you. ?
You can't change the modem bands on these tablets because the actual modem firmware on the chip prevents the other bands on the ROM from passing the security check. So the US bands will load regardless of the fact you have the global ROM loaded.
I'm in Australia, facing the same issue. I just flashed the US WiFi ROM so it cripples the modem stack and use my Nexus 5 to tether.
hi guys..
im from Malaysia and also have problem with this..
i bought it from local seller and its (US) AT&T model...so i cant use it with my local line..
any idea/method to get it work?

Use Firmware Of A Different Model

Hi,
I have a S8+ with the model SM-G955FD and was wondering if I am able to download the firmware for the model SM-G955F?
The phone was purchased outside of Australia and doesn't use the Australian (Telstra) firmware that I would like it to. I just figured they are the same phone just different model numbers so there shouldn't be any issues right? I might just lose a couple features or something but the phone should work correctly?
Thanks in advance.
Yea, the G955FD is the dual SIM Exynos variant, right?
I'm sure the dual SIM uses the same firmware as the single SIM, so you should have no worries flashing Aussie firmware.
But I would suggest you flash the XSA (Aussie unbranded) firmware, not Telstra firmware. You'll lose nothing, but you'll get faster updates.

I thought as much, thanks so much for clarifying. I will download the XSA firmware as well.
Thanks
I'm using Metro PCS service on a Singapore XSP and experiencing some terrible 4G service. Is there anything I can do about this, looked perhaps flash smother CSC onto my 955FD?

The phone will work pretty much fine provided
1 - Exact Same hardware . you can use snapdaragon ROMs on Snapdragon Devices and vice versa for Exynos .
2 - Same network Bands supported . The ROM contains the programs on how to operate in different frequencey bands .
If i helped you , hit the thanks button !

Here's the XSA (Australia) firmware:
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=0C53FCC1D0CA11E7A5F9FA163EE8F90B
Flash it. Doesn't matter if your device is G955F or FD, the ROMs are exactly the same.
Does the method works with G955J SCV35 model? I'm running NTDocomo firmware on KDDI model to unlock network (single SIM) . I wan't to flash unlocked U firmware but getting scared that the phone will be bricked.

no WCDMA

Hello everyone,
I'm facing a problem with my galaxy s7 when I lock it into WCDMA only I got no network at all , but it works fine on 2G and 4G .
I flashed it with different firmwares but no solution .
Currently I'm using the original firmware
What model is the phone and where are you located?
As the international model (F/FD) and US models (V/T/P) have a different modem and only the US models can access certain radio networks in the US, and I don't believe US model phones have full band coverage outside the US.
So if you're using the international model in the US, or a US model outside of the US you will have coverage issues.

Have you tried flashing with Odin using all 4 files (BL,AP,CP,CSC) that match your country and carrier?

Anyone has FRD-DL00 oeminfo??

Hello, I tried debrand my honor 8 DL00 (the chinese 3G RAM+32G version) to europe version, everything worked except no LTE signal...
Now I need to get back to DL00, but I forgot to back up the original oeminfo before debrand. Anyone has DL00 oeminfo could you please send me a copy.
Thanks a lot!!!
If it is a 3g phone there ain't LTE. Pretty sure all Honor 8s are LTE, though.
Honor 8 is LTE

Meant 3G capacity in RAM. Sorry confusing words.
The LTE is related to the modem inside the phone, rebranding it won't solve the issue (because it's a hardware thing)

Yes you are right, and that is the reason I am asking for DL00 oeminfo. I need it to get back to stock oeminfo. For this moment I have to blame myself again for not backing up the original oeminfo...

Flashing Another Model's Modem ?

Hey Guys!
So I have just gotten an S7 (930S) and apparently, there is a mismatch between the bands present in the phone and the one offered by my network. I would like to know if I flash 930F modem on my phone would that be ok or not? I just want to flash the modem as well as the CSC of the 930F model. I hope someone can take the timeout to reply to my query.
Thanks

Yes you can, hardware is the same. However when you talk about network bands I assume your talking about the difference between networks using GSM and networks using CDMA? In which case you need to flash firmware which uses CDMA radios.

Well, when I am talking about Bands I am talking about the frequencies in which they operate. For example, my network offers the UMTS 900 frequency, but that frequency is missing from my current modem.
Therefore, I am assuming that if I flash the 930F model's modem, which does supoort the UMTS 900 frequency, I will be able to operate on the UMTS 900 frequency. Can you confirm me on that?
Or will I have to flash the 930F firmware on my phone to operate on the UMTS 900 frequency?
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Yes 930F will work and install the radios you require.
The problem I am facing right now is that although the modem (Shannon335) on my phone (G930S - Korean) is the same as that on the international model (930F). But my phone (G930S) does not support one of the bands that my network supports which is UMTS 900 and that band is supported on the international version , although hardware wise (both are Shannon335) they are both the same.
So, I was thinking if i change my modem, currently its a South Korean modem and flash the international version modem could it work and make the band work for me?

Yes it should work
Thank You very much.
I would also like to know how should I choose and which modem to flash on my phone. Which things should I match and what to avoid during the flashing process. I have currently U1 security level modem, so when I flash another modem should it be U1 level as well?

To avoid problems you must match the modem to the version of firmware you are using, so yes U1 to U1. Flash the modem separately via Odin
